The scorebook shows Lewis wrestling now against Franklin so it must not have been an unsportsmanlike DQ.

Parkland and Christian Brothers were tied at 270.5 points each going into the finals. Science Hill was third with 189.5 ? and nobody else within striking distance as far as I know. Parkland and Christian Brothers ARE the real deal! Great tournament.

I would also be interested in knowing who the coaches are with the highest win pct. with at least 200 matches.

Anybody have the individual scores from the Science Hill vs. Cleveland match? That has to be one of the biggest wins in Topper history. Congrats to The Hill.

One option you may want to check into would be to join up with the Johnson City Wrestling Club. They have been around for about ten years and many of the wrestlers currently on Science Hill's team started out on that club team. I'll email you the coaches phone number.

I think that your perception as to if Chattanooga is East Tennessee or not depends on where you are from in Tennessee. Chattanooga is three hours southwest of Johnson City. Most people up here in East Tennessee consider East Tn. as starting about Knoxville and Chattanooga is even southwest of Knoxville. Personally, I think of Nashville as West TN. If you draw a line down the exact middle of the state, then I guess Chattanooga would be east and Nashville would be west. If you divide the state into three equal parts, then both Nashville and Chattanooga would be in the Middle Tennessee section. This will be my last trip to Clarksville for at least a few years so I'll try to pass on a little knowledge for you first timers. 1 Get there early if you want a good seat. That gym fills up fast on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. 2 Try to be polite to the late comers. (Even the ones who try to sit on top of you) 3 It's ok to root for another team from your region that made the trip as long as your not wrestling them. (Every team needs all the support they can get) 4 I think the rule is no tripods allowed in the stands. I don't think they will throw you out if you do but it goes back to the overcrowded thing and being polite. 5 Get your popcorn and drinks early. You don't want to have to climb over everyone once the matches have started if it's not necessary. 6 Root for your team or kid but try not to be obnoxious. Coach, Mapquest.com will be the easiest way to get directions. The schools address is: Clarksville High School 151 Richview Rd. Clarksville Tn. Hotels.com would be an easy way to find hotels. Hotels at exit 11 will be the closest to the school but I would suggest staying at exit 4 where there are more hotels and many more restaurants. I can't help you much with weigh in times but I'm thinking wrestling starts around 4:00pm central time.
