  1. I am a true blue (wait green, lol) Bobcat fan but I am one of the ones that agree whole heartedly that the call was bad but it didn't make a difference in the game because the interception did follow and would have given the same results had our guys followed thru... I don't think our folks are belly aching or making excuses they are just stating an obvious bad call...But hey, that one bad call wasn't all - I think the Devils had movement three or four times that wasn't called and could have meant a difference in yards, so you have to stack it up to things happen...I know there has been times when the calls went our way all night, so you know, it happens... Bryan May, I am sorry I wasn't there to see you but I have been very sick, (just ask my son) BUT I DID see it all on tv and I am very proud of you! I believe ya'll can move on IF you make things happen on offense, GOTTA have offense!
  2. Thanks for an excellent post! It gave me the inside of what my son must have been really feeling all this year when he talked about it...I know how I felt when I watched him play his last game and play HARD down to the last sec KNOWING they were going to lose and it was over with, so now I can kinda see why he was playing so hard...
  3. Good job Sycamore-remember there is always next year, even if you are a senior, it will always be your team... As for PC-way to go guys, keep pushing it to the limits and you'll get what you want...I keep saying I will be watching you win state and I believe it...4-3A all the way...Remember respresent us proudly, loudly but not rowdy...
  4. Thanks 5 Dad - Tyler takes after his Mommy (yeah he IS a Mama's boy in case ya'll didn't know) he LOVES sports and KNOWS he best give his all if he is gonna be out there...I was disappointed in his play last night...I haven't gotten to talk to him to see if it was just an off night or if he was feeling bad... I guess my whole point is to try and get people to be behind them to TRY and raise them up-does that make sense? I preached it in football and now here-your seniors don't deserve to take the heat because it is a down year...Kurt & Tyler played last year as well and they chose to come back and try for their school and E bless his heart is stepping up to play his last year and deserves to be honored with a bunch of hoopin' & hollerin' from folks...I am NOT asking you to cheer for the coaches just the kids...In my way of thinking if you ONLY cheer when they are doing good, the coach gets to say "See, see what happens when you listen to me and WE win" but then if he doesn't hear cheering he is able to throw out to them "See, see what happens when you don't listen to me and YOU lose games." I guess I am just a softy when it comes to teenagers and especially ones that are fixing to enter this big world and start it out by feeling they have let their school and community down... GO BIG GREEN-go have a huge year Seniors, I AM 100% behind you-dream big!
  5. As I watched the game tonight I thought-we are in trouble...Sycamore's gym was crazy hot and the few players we have, didn't get time to rest much when they were subed out...Normally you can breathe for a second but with just a handful, you gotta be right back in there... We NEED more fans to cheer! I have a toothache and couldn't be my normal "LOUD-MOUTHED" self...I tried but it just didn't work...If those kids are going to play down to the buzzer than I sure think we can cheer until then! I don't care if we are down by 50 points, as long as they are trying then I am right there with them. And in the four years I have been coming and watching, I have only seen a couple of them decide to quit trying...PLEASE people PLEASE cheer for them...Some say they think they look or sound stupid-SO, look and sound stupid for your child, he/she is well worth it! Side Note: Sycamore needs to have more visitor seating and less student seating...You don't wanna sit with the "home" people on the visitor side because you don't want to offend anyone, so you end up standing...Some people have worked HARD all day and cannot stand...I think it would make more sense for teenagers to stand if need be than older, sick or drained visitors...The game is supposed to be a pleasant experience for both teams...Good "sportsmanship" starts at home, don't you think?
  6. I just hope Tyler can hit the basket! He had good defense at the jam in Gallatin Saturday but couldn't hit the broad side of the barn no matter how hard he tried! Go Bobcats!
  7. Let me start by saying that I had a BDP Dad in my office (I find people jobs) last week before their game and although I wished him luck, I told him I would be going to state to watch PC and I still feel that... I am not pulling for either team because I am sure either team will represent 4-3A well (just watch the unsportsman like conduct) and can bring the State Title here in Middle TN... Good Luck to both teams! On a side note: taking "stabs" at Greenbrier or any other team whether they are in the "play-offs" or not seems more unclassy than someone not "choosing" who you think will win. And I never can understand one thing on here, are we all entitled to "opinions" or just a chosen few?
  8. IF you thought Tim was going to pick Greenbrier-you don't know him very well We could win state and he would still say we were going to lose a "tire or something" on the way home BUT we still love ya Tim
  9. Sorry for White House (I think I did ya'll in, I bet ya'll was gonna get them ) but congrats to PC...
  10. Congrats from the Lynch household-keep the faith!
  11. Greenbrier had a good productive scrimmage today against East Literature...I think GB came on top by like 15 points but I was most impressed with the fact THEY PLAYED AS A TEAM! WooHoo, was something I was hoping for! Go Bobcats!
  12. I went to the round ball scrimmage at the high school today and saw the stone out front-it is a shame they did that! I am with you GB2, I hope they do talk and someone finds out and tells so they can be held accountable...
  13. Congrats from us in Greenbrier on the honor! Even though you can't look ahead and need to play it one game at a time-we believe so go and bring it all home to Robertson County-will be there rooting for you at state!
  14. We moved and we made it thru Homecoming week without the TP everywhere but I think a lot of people have figured out where we live now-am a little concerned especially since it is going to rain big ol' mess!
  15. The sign on Kelly Willis Rd entering Greenbrier City Limits also has been spray painted with White House over the Greenbrier. I don't know if it was done before or after the game, only saw it afterwards.
  16. All our phones were ringing when Little Z's call was made-obviously the announcers were torn up about it, said he was at least a foot inside! But there is nothing that can be done about it now, it happens and you move on knowing he will make PLENTY more catches that will be called fair and he will BUST down the field-the child will only get better and better.... congrats White House-was a good game! Thanks for four happy years Seniors and Lance too, lol...
  17. I think when EZ was "thinking" about doing the jinx thingy, it really worked and went the wrong way! And I say let's (for kicks & giggles) name it -------- CatfishHunter
  18. Everyone sing: Row Row Row your boat Gently down the stream Grab your jacket and your boots Greenbrier needs your screams!!
  19. EZ it was a great post! Prayer is a wonderful and powerful thing and I also pray for their (both sides) safety and hearts. I cannot imagine being in either position. I mean if you are a Greenbrier Senior you KNOW this is your last game and you have the feeling that the whole town is already disappointed in you so you WANT to beat WH to try and save some face - if you are a White House senior you are wondering is this your last game and will it be held over my head that Greenbrier (the ones with the bad year) kept us from the playoffs- so either way to be a 17/18 year old person carrying those feelings have to be tough! Both towns should be proud and not make them feel worse no matter what the turn out... Way to go Bobcats & Blue Devils your effort is PRICELESS!
  20. OR better yet-how about if we win our guys can rip their jerseys off to reveil they really are Tigers instead Bobcats and start yelling we fooled you we fooled you! We really did make the playoffs! hmmm, the Greenbrier Underdogs-they could all come running out with little capes on and pointing to the sky-I like it!
  21. *rubbing one pointer finger over the other* tsk tsk & bad bad to the guy in the white truck with the big White House magnet on your truck-yeah you, you know what you did to me on I-65 *shaking head* ya'll he got beside me and blew his horn and when I looked over I thought he was saying Greenbrier was number one cause he was pointing to my sticker but you know what!?! He was holdin' up his middle finger! So GB2, I think he needs to hit his knees too! Go Bobcats!
  22. You must have missed my posts-Bradly is mentioned a lot in mine-I even threw a fit once or twice cause he wasn't mentioned! But you are VERY correct about these seniors, great bunch of guys! And for next year-unless I am just dead wrong way off Bryan May will be a very big key to this team-stay healthy Bryan! As for this week-the seniors need to finish their high school career with a win-come on underclassmen help them out-and everyone needs to BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK it's a BIG deal! Macon was a very classy team and played well and I would like to see them go to the playoffs... Go Bobcats!
  23. WHHS1975, Respect ya'll certainly have from us! but we are still gonna try and kick your bottoms! (Can I say bottoms on here? ) Remember Bobcats you STILL have to act like this is the most important game of the year, it's bragging rights...Plus, 4-6 looks better than 3-7... Go Big Green Go!!
