TO ALL THE SENIOR FOOTBALL PLAYERS... Do you remember the first day of practice your freshmen year. Being the small fries on the team. Your first day of camp, when you were on the scout team, and you get leveled by a big upperclassman. Having to pick up everything after practice. Being able to lift plates on bench and thinking you are the man. Having to play in the freshman games against the other team, knowing that this was all the playing time you would get for the season. Listening to the seniors tell you that your football career will go by so quick. Then your sophmore year, where you work out to prepare for some playing time. Not being the younguns on the team. Now being counted as a varsity player instead of a freshman. Having to come to both practices in the two a days. Playing in the B Team games against the other team. Finally getting that chance to play on Friday nights under the lights. Then your Junior year rolls around and you are now an upperclassman. You finally get that chance for a starting position. Your first scrimmage and game as a starter. Getting that crowd quieting hit during the big game. Helping the little guys on the team so they can be better. Now your Senior year is left. Listening to the first meeting with your head coach talking about leadership. Knowing you are guaranteed only 10 games left. The thoughts of winning a championship for your city. The last Spring Practice you will ever go through. The summer workouts being the big dog on the team. The first day of practice as a Senior, looking at all the little ones on the team. The picture day when you get interviewed by the newspaper. Being captains for the first time in your career. The last region championship game you will be apart of. The Homecoming game and queen. The Senior Night game cause it is your last regular season home game. The playoffs start and you know its win or retire forever. The last second of the last game of your career, where the tears start rolling. The coach's final speech to your class. The final time you take off your jersey, telling the Juniors it is their time to step up. The final time you tell the Freshmen their career will go by just like that. Then the next school day when you clean out your locker for good. The awards banquet, knowing that this is the last football thing you have left. Next year rolls around and you are under the Friday night lights once again, this time from the bleachers. People may not notice this but football is a way of life for some people. I am going to miss the smell of the freshly mowed grass. The metal hitting each other in the weightroom. The smell of the locker room after practice. The loud music after a victory, or the quiet bus on the way back after a loss. The cheerleaders cheerin you on, and the crowd getting into it. The many pep rallies against your rival team. The tears and the blood, but most of all the friday nights under the lights with the fresh smell of hamburgers grilling in the background. The band playing in the background. You may not think about all this until it is all over. Cherish every momemt you have, cause once it is all over, all you have is a highlight film and memories.

Great game last nite in Mo-town..... both teams played with heart and both teams wanted the win badly... everyone that knew these two teams well knew it was gonna be a dog fight for 48 minutes! Wished the outcome would have been different, but i would rather see smith go to the semis then tyner or all the other region 3 teams..... to the westmoreland players....keep your heads high.....there are many teams in westmorelands past that would kill for a chance to make it to the third round...... to all the boys.... yall learned to never give up and never back down to nothin after tonights game....yall earned some respect and for the next couple of years westmoreland will be shown some respect.....to smith county...congrats on a win, you guys earned it..... good luck next week with alcoa....i believe yall can win....jus gotta have the heart! i am sure alot of people from westmoreland will be there rooting for you boys to kick some tornado butt!!! good luck

ok daddymacvols i am from westmoreland so i will admit it....WE BEAT YOU GUYS FAIR AND SQUARE SO GET OVER IT!!!! you guys had a good team but you just couldnt make the big plays when it counted! but its ok if you want to keep whining about the referees! hopefully you can come whine some more at the next playoff game up here in westmoreland when WE play smith county!!! GO BIG RED!!

It has been a good while since i have posted anything on this thing. I thought i would jus stay off this thing forever and not get involved and let everyone else run their mouth! but i am TIRED of everyone making excuses on why they lost a certain game! WHO CARES Y YOU LOST!!!! ITS THE PLAYOFFS!!! REGULAR SEASON DOESNT MATTER!!! AS FAR AS I SEE IT EVERYONE IS 1-0 SO PREPARE LIKE YOU ARE PLAYING AN UNDEFEATED TEAM!!!! now as far as the york and westmoreland game goes..... i hope westmoreland wins.....it will be tough for both teams, but i know if westmoreland comes to play ball like they have been the past couple of weeks(past 7 i think) we should win this ball game. I was at the york game and honestly york was probably more physical than westmoreland but westmoreland played smarter ball. Westmoreland will have to step it up and get physical and come ready to play.... but i know they are ready to play so just come physical. been 6 years since we have made it this far in the playoffs..... just remember how lucky it really is to get where you are today, cuz it was jus 2 years ago when we were getting our butts kicked by goodpasture and david lipscomb. But now back on the subject, i thought york had the overall better team than every other team we played this year, and YES BETTER THAN SMITH COUNTY!!!! so i personally cant wait for this game. hope both teams are ready to play cuz this is going to be 48 minutes of hard nosed football and its win or go home time. but i hope smith county wins the other game....im just tired of them talkin crap on every single thread bout how they should have won....JUST WIN AND WE WILL SEE NEXT WEEK!!!!! THATS ALL IM SAYING! cuz york and westmoreland will make you cry and whine for another 9 months!!!!!

im not whinin cuz we should have won the game...we cant change the fact that we lost... macon county won that game fair and square....i am jus sayin that everytime a team sends in a videotape it is more than likely jus to not have those same group of refs back for the rest of the football games that westmoreland is in... yeah macon won that game i aint tryin to take nothin from them they were the better team in the end.....but the game should have been called alot better!

ok any body that was there in the stands or near the endzone knows that that receiver DID NOT catch that ball in the endzone with 5.5 seconds left!!!!! that ball bounced into his hands and the freakin refs screwed us again!!!! Westmoreland was the better team tonite and everyone knons it whether you are a tiger fan or an eagle fan! we controlled the game! i am sure the board will definitely get a video tape in the mail tomorrow with that play on it cuz the evidence shows he didnt catch that ball!!!! that game was so messed up, by all means! It freakin stinks watchin these kids work their butt off all off season and camp and two a days to watch the stupid refs screw these boys from a freakin game!!!!! and trust me i am not the only people on this website that feel this way!!!! gah i am still upset off at those refs!!!! that was the worst call i have ever seen and it was at the worst time.... I am sorry westmoreland that this goes down as an L on your record but hopefully you wont have those biased refs at another one of your games! good game boys!

Well Westmoreland..... it looks like according to everyone on coachT that we are a soft team....we dont have nething.... dont bother showin up..... just give Macon County the W and save them the high gas money.... i guess they think we are still the red chickens..... well where i come from red chickens mean fightin chickens and all this crap that these Tiger Fans are sayin on this thing is jus sharpening the claws on those red chickens so yall can jus keep on ticken em off cuz on friday nite we lettin them red chickens loose on the field and they gonna be lookin for some payback after last year!!!! good luck eagles and smash some heads once that first whistle goes off and dont stop drivin them boys in the ground until the last whistle goes off....

well from what i hear Macon is supposed to have as good a team as they had a couple of years ago when they went undefeated. The loss of their star linebacker Hudson really hurt that team, but i think that will give them great pride in playing for him. They are returning everyone else on defense and their offense will be improved. Their only question mark is who will replace Dallas this year. I expect a great game between them and rival Westmoreland on week 1. GO EAGLES!

Westmoreland will be tough to beat this year. They didnt lose many players but they still have some question marks. If they can fix those marks then they are my pick for the region in a close one against Smith Countyin Westmoreland in week 8. Smith County is returnin alot of their skills positions, but their O Line is a little inexperienced. Upperman will surely shock some heads this year and i am lookin forward to the Upperman Westmoreland game week 3 at Westmoreland. York will be down this year but i still see them as makin the playoffs as the 4th seed. Cannon wasnt very good last year and they basically lost their starters to graduation. Jackson is gonna be a little better with a new coach. Hopefully they can turn that program around. It is gonna be a good season this year and the battle for the top 3 could go any way! Good luck to all teams this year and represent region 4-2A proud!

Westmoreland will have as good of a team that they had this past year. They return quarterback Madison with practically the entire backfield. The o-line will have to have work, but the entire d-line is returning along with most of the defensive backs. Both linebackers are gone, so they will need work there also. All in all I will say that westmoreland will be in another runnin for the region title. They should go far in the playoffs as well.

Last week when our team, westmoreland, played sequatchie we knew it was going to be a hard nosed football game. If sequatchie plays with that same heart, then I believe they can upset Boyd. If they go in upset cause they lost 2 in a row then it will be 3. Dont look back on the past guys, you have a home playoff game at stake. You are a really good football team so keep playing with that attitude. You all have earned our respect, now go out and get theirs. But remember you gotta earn it. No Warren COunty blew out 3A dekalb last week, but Dekalb isn't very good. Warren County will have their first challenge of the season Friday night. Good Luck Warren County. (You'll need it)

Once again to the Tigers good game against us last week. If Macon County wants a shot at winning this one though a few things will have to happen. 1. Keep playing with the same heart and intensity from the week before. 2. Limit the turnovers and the big plays. 3. The defensive line will have to play alot better for this one. 4. The offensive line will have to get their blocks; I will probably guarantee that Pearl-Cohn's Boys will be alot bigger than our boys. 5. DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT ANYBODY SAYS ABOUT YOU WILL GET BEAT. YOU HAVE ALREADY PROVED THAT ANYBODY CAN GET BEAT ON ANY GIVEN DAY. Good Luck To The Tigers
