Sub states are in April in Memphis, Shelbyville, Cheatham Co and Knoxville area. State tournament for 10u is in Memphis May 11-13. Don't forget to register your team(s). The deadline is normally the week of the girls state high school tournament.

Well, Since most threads have a devil's advocate here I am.... Clarkrange at Westmoreland This won't be a cakewalk for either team. Westmoreland is well coached (as is Clarkrange), and if the Westmoreland ladies are hitting their shots they are very tough to beat at home. Monterey at Gordonsville While I understand there is no respect for 8A much less their district champion to think that Gordonsville is an underdog here is dangerous thinking. Butch will be ready with a good game plan and he will have it executed. The Lady Tigers will body the Ladies from Monterey up from the first to the last buzzer. Gordonsville is a scrappy team that just won't quit. Trousdale at Jackson County If Trousdale can hang the first half they have a great chance to take this one. They are definately at second half team. Any momentum they can get in the 4th quarter will give them a good chance here. The only way this does not happen if Jackson County puts them away in the first half. Watertown at RBS Watertown is a good team, but they don't match up well here. RBS takes this one unless they overlook the Purple Tigers. Best of luck to all Region 4 teams!

The TSSAA website says Watertown hosts the region 4A tournament. I thought it was Dist 7A's turn to host. I thought it was going to be at Upperman, but it looks like 7A is playing at Livingston Academy.

I don't think it's disrespectful at all! The man is working to cover high school sports for all of us. You should be glad he came to your school and showed pictures of your players. He's simply saying you could have pictures of your wins anytime you want to put them up. He has given you the canvas to showcase them, you can't expect him to paint all the pictures.

I noticed that. The coach seemed unhappy. His not playing the starters seemed like an unusual strategy, but it was his strategy to have in a district game against an in-county rival.

I think the jury is still out on how good FCS can be. They seem to be playing well together right now. They beat Gordonsville at Gordonsville last Thursday and play Westmoreland Friday.

I gotta give it up to Clay County. They flat out hustled the Lady Commanders.

Friendship just played their first game last night (Tue 12/5) because the football team played for so long (congrats to them - it's still great to be the 2nd best team in 1A). Reputation and old school thinking gives the nod to Clay Co. I'm sure the 7A die hard supporters will say Friendship does not have a prayer. I'm hoping this can finally get back to the rivalry it was about 4 years ago when either team could win. This is clearly the first test for the Lady Commanders...

The game was rescheduled for Dec 21st I think. Most of the Friendship boy's team play football and they are not through yet.

AAU for girls is now 9u to 19u. How many girls who will be 14 years old on December 31, 2006 will you have on your high school team? AAU is like anything else, you can find the good and you can find the bad.
