I agree, with everything you just wrote. However, what promted you to state what you did? Did someone say that the Owls or the Wildcats were average? If they did, I'm sure that there is medication to fix that also. Just wondering??? Also, congrats on a great season by the Owls.

Yeah really, get more fiber or less caffeine in your life. Both Riverdale and Oak Ridge earned their spot in the semi-finals. I don’t expect we will see anything less than the best two teams in the state playing a great game for a shot at the title. Everyone knows that Oak Ridge has never beaten Riverdale, but all bad things have to come to an end. This game seams very evenly matched, I think were Oak Ridge may have an advantage will be that they get to play at home. Good luck to both teams (but more to Oak Ridge). I was talking to a friend of mine from Farragut today about the game tomorrow night and he asked me who was recruiting Spencer Gulmire? I reaaly did not know who to tell him. Does anyone know who is recruiting him? Also, what about Nick Reviz? Just wondering???

From this side of the bracket, each team has a good argument for being able to take the title. After all, this is the third round of the playoffs, there are no “bad teams” in the mix at this point. How many state titles does Cookeville have in football? Maybe when you have 7 titles under your belt, your opinion might mean something. Look for Oak Ridge (7 Titles) and Riverdale (4 Titles) in round four.

Your right, a lot of football to be played before we can even think about next week. It is not that Oak Ridge wants Farragut to lose, that’s not it. We would just like to win our game tonight and then have the opportunity to finish the last two quarters of the game we though was over a half time with the Owls. Farragut is a great program and I think anyone in the state would agree. Farragut’s coach has really been a class act on and off the field. That class act is mirrored in his players and the program. No matter how it ends on the field tonight, Farragut is a great program that deserves respect.

Well, not to get ahead of ourselves here, we both have great teams to play tonight. However, if both Oak Ridge and Ooltewah win tonight, the third round game with not be at “Hooterville”, it would be at Oak Ridge. Your comment made me curious so I asked the TSSAA the question. Below is their response… In the 3rd and 4th rounds the brackets are set for home teams. Each year they rotate from the top of the bracket to the bottom of the bracket. The semi-final home team is already pre-set. In the third round we go by the higher seeded team if they are both from the same region. Here are the possibilities for the home team in the top of the 5A Bracket - for the third round If Oak Ridge wins -- they host If Sevier Co. and Ooltewah win -- Ooltewah hosts If Sevier Co. and Farragut win -- Farragut hosts In the next half of top bracket If Cookeville wins - they host If Wilson Central and Smyrna win - Wilson hosts If Wilson Central wins and Riverdale wins - Riverdale hosts In the bottom bracket: If Gallatin wins - they host If Brentwood wins and Franklin wins - Brentwood hosts If Brentwood wins and Ravenwood wins - Ravenwood hosts And last: The winner of Millington/Ridgeway hosts So, it is good to know that if we have the opportunity to play each other again, it will be at Oak Ridge.
