  1. in preseason Jo byrns played watertown and was beating them 48 to 0 at the half they must have gotten a WHOLE lot better since then.
  2. i agree but east's wonder boy tico did get hurt in the first half if i remember correctly and all east had was the tico carlos hookup or the tico and carlos rushing game and if you kill the rider the horse won't ride alone that just goes to show to much reliance on one or two player will after a while get you beat by a talent wise worse team but a more balanced team
  3. all the hype isn't because theyu're winning it is because of the insane points they put on the board and the rather miniscule points they allow. i saw the tssaa rosters and i was amazed that tc didn't have hardly anyone over two hundred or were my eyes decieving me. they must be extremely well coached and very fast. but to back up my prior statements Jo Byrns is 11-0 and they're getting no hype some people say they had no competition and that may be true but they beat a fairly good east robertson team and could have put 70 to 90 points on five or six teams they have played but their coach doesn't like to do things like that(like 40 to nothing five mins into the clarksville academy game then took all starters out and refused to score again, punts on first down and such) so i say it isn't that they're winning but that they are DOMINATING, HUMILIATING, and DESTROYING everyone they play against(well mostly)
  4. well i believe mr cj got to see a real d fence friday night. he didn't even score. he averaged like a little more than 4 yards a carry opposed to his average of 10 or so yards per carry prior to this game. i believe he had 105 yards on 22 carries which is like 4.77 yards per carry. the only time he got any yards was when our rather ignorant d coach called a bad defensive stunt against the perfect play on offense. i say if we stayed in base all night long he would have had less than 50 yards.
  5. I totally agree although jbs will win i think ca will score some points they are more balanced than wc and will pass the ball, a much better game than wc and jbs. i say pretty close if jbs isn't focused
  6. all i have to say is anyone who thinks region 6 will sweep region 5 is smoking some good stuff. they can very possibly win three out of four games but WC doesn't stand a chance in *$^$ of winning. although WC does have a great runningback jbs has one of the best if not the best passing game in the state and jbs will just outscore wc.
  7. this cj hammock kid sounds about like carlos hudson for east robertson and we shut his rushing attack down so i think we should be aware and respectful of his potential to break one out but i don't see him getting another 200 plus yard night against jbs. as far as our offense goes wc has a weak secondary and we have a EXTREMELY good passing quarterback with GREAT recievers so i think us scoring won't be the problem it will be keeping them from scoring.
  8. how many recieving yards does he have?if any.
  9. all i have to say is TC's coach is a %*&@#!$. that was rediculous. when jo byrns played clarksville academy it was 43 to zip like six mins into the game and we started takeing knees and punting on first down. all our starters came out. freshmen played at least two and a half quarters of the game. that my son is mercy. maybe your coach needs to come up to jo byrns to get some class rubbed off on him. i can't wait until someone beats TC in the playoffs.when and if you play jo byrns watch out. if we do play and anyone has anything to say my # is 64 i am the starting OT and DE. bring it.
  10. in my opinion forrest was the most sportsmanlike and the most respectful team i have ever played PERIOD and i started last year against all of those private christian schools as well go jbs
  11. i am a starting DE and OT for jo byrns and this is what i think due to experience. everyone is screaming about stegall's speed and he is fast but only in a straight line. when we played them we just strung all of the sweep type plays out and stegall just ran out of bounds. he is scared to cut back because he doesn't want to get hit. whether that is because of us or his usual gameplay i don't know. i do agree with some of the earlier post in that johnson needs a 3peat and that a high scoring game will benefit eagleville and a lowscoring game will benefit forrest. now lets go to johnson. johnson did 1000 times better against us than stegall did. johnson had 2 big breakout plays that he made all by himself. stegall can't even dream about that. if forrest's defense covers the field stegall will be shut down you can't give him the corner he is just to fast. as far as the score goes i have no idea. eagleville will rule the air and forrest will rule the ground it could go both ways. good luck to both teams...
  12. I was at both the Eagleville vs. JBS and the Forrest vs. JBS game. This is my rundown. Eagleville is better upfront than Forrest is that much is certain, but Forrest has a better backfield. I think that Forrest's tailback Johnson will weave and wind his way to the endzone many times. Eagleville won't be able to handle the moves of Johnson. All in all though I think that it could go both ways. My favorite is Forrest, but not by much though.
