  1. Great opportunity for the kids at West Ridge. It will be a monumental task for the Wolves, but you can say that about most teams that play the Red Rebels.
  2. Thanks DandDD, you're right, DB should be loaded next year! I hope that WR can stay competitive year in and year out, helps DB, Science Hill and WR IMO. Couldn't have asked for a better 1st year for these kids, they certainly have laid the ground work for future success. At the beginning of the year, one of the biggest question marks for the Wolves was if they could come together and be a team, I think the coaches and communities have done a fantastic job.
  3. Thanks, I was pulling for your guys tonight and all of R1!
  4. Look, you're a DB fan that even DB fans don't like. Says alot about you. No I'm not joking, the Wolves are in the second round.
  5. At least they'll be doing it in the second round....so thanks!!!
  6. 37 yrd Field Goal as time expires!!!!! WOLVES 17 BLUE RAIDERS 14 HOT DANG WOLVES!!!!!!!
  7. To the best of my knowledge West Ridge does not stream their home games. BTES (Bristol Tennessee Essential Service--cable provider) broadcasts the (some) home games to subscribers of their service. You may try one of the Youtube services however I have never tried the Youtube services and I'm not sure if they are a pay site. Radio coverage is provided locally here by 1049nashicon.com or in Cleveland at Mymix1041.com. Hope you find a service that streams!
  8. It's game day!!!! Win or lose, I could not be more proud of this group of young men and coaches at West Ridge High School. 3 Rivals come together as 1. What an awesome commitment from these kids, coaches and community to lay the ground work for future teams! GO WOLVES!!!!! I pray for safe travels for everyone coming to the game and for an injury free ball game! GO PACK GO!!!
  9. BTES broadcasts the games in their service area. Since it was against Tenn. High, I'm sure it was a big draw for their subscribers. Someone posted radio 104.9 Nash Icon broadcasts the games.
  10. How is the QB play? Sounds like a well rounded team. Curious about some of the losses they took. Injuries?
  11. So I know nothing about Cleveland other than they play in a tough region. What type offense do they run? Pass alot or more of a ground game or balanced? Who are the play makers? Safe travels to any Cleveland fans coming to the ridge.
  12. One could look at it that way however if the Indians would have taken care of business against Jeff. Co. this wouldn't be a discussion. Yes I do believe DB is better than Jeff. Co. On a side note, I believe the quick change of classifications caused alot of headaches for scheduling for West Ridge. I hope after the current contracts expire they beef up the schedule with some Knox area teams.
  13. Barney, I appreciate your POV, however looking at D-B's schedules in the 60s and 70s, the only schools added were Sullivan Central and Sullivan East until the arrival of South and North in 1980. Year in and year out opponents stayed the same plus Oak Ridge was a fixture and then other teams from Knox every now and then. Who challenges Maryville on their schedule year in and out other than Alcoa? Heritage? Blount? Did they hurt the Rebels? Don't get me wrong, I am by no means a D-B defender, however they seem to have always scheduled well. IMO the major metro area teams have an upper hand (Knox, Nash, Memphis, Chatt) and being close to one of these sure helps. D-B is a great school, with a great history that has fallen short in winning the gold ball. That can be said for probably 98% of the high schools in this state. Is it because of the failure of the system? (control of middle school programs) Is it because of the commitment level of coaching or lack of coaching ability? There has been varied success of teams in upper East TN in other sports, baseball, volleyball, basketball and of course Elizabethton and Greeneville in football. So why not football for everyone else here in NET? Lot's to discuss and debate. With all that said, I hope the Indians pull the shocker of all shockers on Friday and good luck to all R1 teams and as always....GO WOLVES!!!
  14. I must have missed this. What was said and where?? Good luck to Betsy as well!
  15. You're always welcome, blazer! If you're going, better get your ticket now on gofan.co. It's gonna be a packed house.
  16. That very well may have happened, blazer! Congrats to you and the Boone Blazers for closing the regular season out on a high note!
  17. Wolves spot the Patriots 12 points and then score 35 unanswered!! Wolves 35 Pats 12 Some preseason publications said the Wolves would be lucky to win a game.... 8-2 and second place in the conference in year #1. Great job Wolves!!!!
  18. I'm all about being realistic however you can't have a loser mentality and win games. Anything and I mean anything, although a long shot, can happen in any game.
  19. 1st off, I can't believe next week is the end of the regular season. Reflecting a bit, I recall most thought that West Ridge would be lucky to win 2 games this year, yet here we are and the Wolves have a chance to go 8-2. I think the defense of WR gets overlooked. I think they have a good secondary and good line play. I agree that Bergeron seems to have the better arm. I've not even heard what type of injury he has....high ankle sprain? If Riner gets out in space he has the jets to take it all the way. Looking for a good game. Proud of the communities, kids, faculty etc that pulled together to hopefully build a strong foundation for future teams. GO WOLVES!
  20. Please explain further. JV has lost only 1 game. Sullivan Heights Middle also either lost 1 or went undefeated.
  21. The Wolves return to the den for only the second time this season and it's homecoming. I think the Wolves go home happy after this one.
