  1. I honestly don't know who to pick this game. Go Pats!
  2. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, Justin Bather hit Mcadoo hard! I think he just got the wind knocked out of him.
  3. The captains and seniors are gonna have to do a great job this week to let everyone know that being 4-0 doesn't mean ANYTHING! Everyone is excited about how things are right now. LaVergne has never been 4-0, Smyrna has lost twice, tied with 1st, etc etc etc...LaVergne has a reason to be excited about those things, but not satisfied. There is a lot of talk about Smyrna this year saying they aren't as good. LaVergne is also excited about that, or atleast some. I for one aren't excited about it and everyone else needs to stay focused on what we have to do. Considering I know a lot of players on that team, most for ages, I know that they WILL be the toughest team we play. However, if LaVergne wants to beat Smyrna, it has to be this year. We haven't even scratched the surface of our toughest spot in the schedule so LaVergne MUST stay poised. Not throwing shots, but Oakland started off 4-0 and they ended with a VERY tough schedule and it all turned for the worst. Big game this week and it starts tomorrow at conditioning and film study.
  4. We still aren't where we need to be. But we'll get there. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Big Game next week. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  5. Blackman Smyrna Lebanon LaVergne Riverdale Oakland Siegel Coffee County Mt. Juliet Oak Ridge I'm calling another Region 4 sweep...
  6. Personally 2p, I think Bass is better than Valentine. That was the opinion of a lot of our defensive guys, also. Crocker probably is better than A-rod. If he wasn't, he's definately a better fit for our caliber of WR's. Laron has been a sleeper this year. Gray saw double coverage the whole 2nd half and Laron stepped up big with the TD catch and a GREAT 2p-conversion catch following that. Quentin also had a beeeeeautiful catch over 2 defenders before halftime. It's going to be hard for teams to double Gray, Patton, Gardener, etc. because everyone can and will step in and make a play. Darnell Horton has yet to have his breakout game and believe me, he is as good as any WR on our team so people need to watch for him.
  7. This should be a good game. All the players know each other. Antioch will not be taken lightly regardless of their record. They've played MBA, Riverdale, and Hunters Lane. 3 EXCELLENT teams. Regardless of our record, we need to get better. Not talent wise, because the talent is there. We just have to start jumping on teams early. We've always been a 2nd half team but against teams like Lebanon, Smyrna, and Riverdale, we have to put all 4 quarters together. I see so much potential in this team, but we haven't met the expectations. We're getting there, but not there yet and the seniors have to do a good job at keeping everyone poised because in the past, LaVergne has gotten overexcited and started thinking they were "the stuff". One game at a time. LaVergne beats Antioch.
  8. Riverdale might get the shutout. Lc won't score over 10 though. Riverdale 21+
  9. .................sounds like somebody's hating..
  10. 2p, I can't believe your not giving LaVergne an oz. of credit. We faced adversity all night. Just as much as Oakland. Our defense got tired, but tell me how the defense did in the 4th quarter? This is what its all about. There was so much adveristy tonight on both sides of the ball. The fact that we came together in the 4th was why we pulled it out. I applaud Oakland. Best team we've faced. It was sloppy, but we pulled it off. We are learning, but we are pulling together. Oakland is a great football team. Defense was well prepared. Crocker was shook. Tonight was the 1st night of real adversity for him. He made some mistakes. But hey, I saw way worse from A-Rod around this time in the season. He's learning and he's getting better and better. LaVergne's offense couldn't get it started. Oakland was stuffing Randall in the 1st half and we didn't know what to do. Crocker also made some bad decisions tonight, also. Oakland's corners aren't the best, but they prepared well for tonight and I applaud them for that. However, Patton and Gardener stepped up, A LOT. To be real, I'm not really happy with tonight's win. Oakland gave the LaVergne Offense some troubles tonight. We got to show a sense of urgency on big conversions. Defense played well for the most part. Besides wrapping up, they did pretty good. They saved the offense a couple of times. Our secondary prepared great for Oakland's pass. The Oakland/Blackman game should be a good one. Would give more info, but I'm daaaaaawg tired.
  11. Well I'm just saying. A lot of people think the planets are lined up right for them to beat us. -They are 2-0 -Great defense against Riverdale -A comfortable win against Coffee County -at HOME -hype and hungry for revenge
  12. Why do you sound so suprised? Oakland has a very talented squad this year. Best believe we will not take them lightly AT ALL. As a matter of fact, we feel like the underdogs going into this one.
  13. Another great practice today! Great job seniors!
  14. Top 4: (No Order) Lebanon, Smyrna, LaVergne, Riverdale. 82cat is right. Nothing has really been proven these past 2 weeks. Even the teams that lost region games still showed great strides. But this week should show a little bit of how the rest of the season turns out.
  15. played baseball from 5-14 and played triple B for coach Gooch and did not finish triple A year when they went to florida because I moved to LaVergne. Any more questions? Now pleeeeease, stop blazing my name man lol. Enough people already know who I am on here. Atleast say it in 3rd person lol.
  16. Don't be too sure of that with the loss to LaVergne. It was early, but could very well hurt them in the long run. But they will definately contend.
  17. I always have! thats why I still have a black helmet! and I want my DVD back, punk! lol
  18. Why print it? It'll be like that all year! Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust kidding.. By the way, LaVergne had a great practice this morning. Captains did a great job getting everyone active and ready to work because it was waaaaay too early, but we got a lot done today and should be well prepared for friday. Ha! I'ma have to reschedule that..
  19. Riverdale LaVergne Siegel Smyrna, though the hot pick sounds tempting Franklin Cookeville Eagleville Bearden Brentwood Antioch
  20. This game will seperate who has improved and who is still a bottom feeder. Personally, I think every team in the region has improved. Whether its more than the other, every team has improved. Or else, it wouldn't be so crucial every week to win. That's why this region is so good. But anyways, I say Siegel. But would not be suprised if WC pulls it out.
  21. We've played Lincoln County all 3 years of my varsity football and we built up a pretty big summer rivalry. This past year I could tell that the talent is definately not like it was. I expected Blackman to win, and i hope they can get an upset over Riverdale. I hope.
  22. Wow, that's a very good compliment. Thanks for putting that out there. In the past two games, I don't believe we've had any flat out drops. Maybe some passes knocked down, but no drops. The starting 4 WR's has all been together since elementary school, that's what makes the chemistry a whole lot better. Patton and Gray has played baseball, basketball, and was national champs for football at Una back in the day. Una put out great football athletes such as Sonny Gray, Randall Tillery, Quentin Allen, Jonah Hendricks, David Sanders, Dallis Dixon, Markus Cantrell, Chris Jordan, Jeremy Holt, Michael McAdoo, Kedrick Towles Terrance Davis, John Garrett and a whooooooole lot more. If anybody has never heard of Una, oh man if they put a team together full of Alumni...state champs. But anyways, our O-line claims to be the weakest link, but that definately has not been the case. and to defend Tillery, even though it was Hillwood. Their d-line was their strongest link and he only played the 1st half, with an exception of one run in the 2nd half, just to hit the 200 mark. Oakland is a huuuuuuuge game. We know they will be seaking revenge.
