You are totally correct. The TWSA is so much better and and has so much more credibility than the TFCA's list. Who in the world has ever heard of an all state team that does not even represent all positions on Offense and Defense and list only 13 or 14 total guys. A great example is the linebacker from siegel is not even the best linebacker in his own district let alone the best in the state. The young man from smryna, "meadows" and the young man from blackman, "patton" are both way better and all three are juniors, so don't give me the senior thing! my bet is every coach from district 6AAA would tell you that meadows and patton were the best linebackers, except for maybe some siegel coaches and i am willing to bet that some of them would agree with this too! now some picks are certainly legit, like macadoo, mayes, smith, etc. but some are not even close and the few players named makes it even worse. The coaches across the state need to get rid of this or change the way it is done! First of all, this was about the 5A list, not the 6A list... you've got the wrong thread. Secondly, Only seniors are selected on this list!!! Is that a true all state list??? NO, But what is the point in getting all upset about it??? Who cares?

Coach reed has been a HS Varsity asst coach for many years. He was On Britton's staff before he took the South job. He was also an asst for 4 or 5 years in Marshall Co.

With all due respect to middle school coaches and what they do, the jump from that to 6A football isn't realistic. I'll agree w/ that statement, however... the guy at south has plenty of years as hs asst coach. He has only been at the Middle school level for 3 or 4 years.

That guy over at South Middle does a GREAT job!!!! From watching the coaches at FCHS the past few seasons, Id rather have him and whatever staff he could put together than keeping what hasnt worked there. Havent a few of those guys been on the staff under the last TWO head coaches?!? Maybe they need to go?!?

I dont know the rule, but this sounds right. i know a few years ago this situation arose w/ a softball player leaving Father Ryan to go to Mt. Juliet, and she did not sit out a year. Anyone know what the distance is (if this is infact true)?
