they were good enough to beat oz 26 to zip last year Took the words right out of my mouth. This is the same person who said that the only player Coalfield had last year was #14. No doubt the best player on that team, but i also believe she said something about the bad QB play from last year. And Coalfield beat OS 26-0 behind 3 touchdown passes. So, lets just say that catmommy maybe should stick to commenting about girls basketball!! But she may not do that much this year since Kayla Christopher is gone!! HMMM....

Well, as i recall Oneida did catch the ball. No batter for Coalfield struckout and Coalfield reached base on 4 errors and those were mostly in the infield. I know for sure that there was at least 12 flyballs caught. But, Coalfield gets the W, and should be a good game tonight. Best of luck to both teams.

Lol. Well if your considering " guys" as in all the boys in the school. I doubt it. And talk about Wartburg basketball would be just as high if people around here actually cared about basketball besides people in Wartburg. Football runs the county as it does in all east TN counties. No need for consolidation in my mind it would take the competetive spirit out of all the sports. I was a senior on the Coalfield Football team this year and i never missed the playoffs. And if you are reffering to the state finals , then the last i checked there were 8 spots in the state final tournament for Basketball and Baseball. So, no Coalfield hasn't made the finals but who has made the final 2 in any sport in the county, besides Coalfield Baseball in 1998???? But if you want to say the final for football are the last 8 teams left then i have made it in football twice and the year before when i was in 8th grade they made the semi-finals, which is only 4 teams left., in case you didn't know. So, no i wouldn't say Coalfield has ever had a football program of any kind. Wow you are a GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!! hey, MyDog. Well lets see where to start how many games have you won in the last 4 years?? And how many games has coalfield won the the past four years? Having kindergardeners in your school doesn't make a difference that just makes it sound worse for wartburg because the fact is you've only beat Coalfield once in the last 5 years and won only a game in the last four years so it is safe to say having elementary in the same school has nothing to do with the caliber of the football team.

Okay back to football, so i am from coalfield and i have played both teams . This will be a great matchup because both teams are very fast and strong . to be honest i have no idea who is the better team . This game will be won in the trenches who ever wins the battle upo front and gives their quarterback enough time to throw will win tihs football game. by the way it was very nice to finally meet Pujo at the hampton game.Also i would like to thank the Hampton fans for the way i was treated up there, i never heard one bad comment toward me as a player or us as a team. I would like to wish Hampton luck in the playoffs, so Pujo keep em up and go get em'

i think this will be a good ball game tonight. I think that if rockwood can force some turnovers they have a good shot tonight. Breazele has to step up big for it to even be close, all that said Rockwood 31-28

Well said Coalfield always has had a great football program and it just keeps going up. i think this year will be no different The jackets will be a great team.. but Doughty will have to make some throws down the field, so people can't just stack the box against the jackets. if he steps up it will be yet another great year.

Well we might have a very good excuse. Coalfield didn't hit it up to par and that is thier fault , but Sunbright should give the credit for their win to Coalfield for playing so bad. Do u know how many of those 8 runs were earned? 0! yES THATS RIGHT SUNBRIGHT DID NOT EARN ONE RUN!!!!

Yeh coalfield played adamsdville in the tourney, but it was both teams JV not just adamsville's. So could Adamsville's JV team beat Coalfield. NO!!!! All the teams Coalfield played in west tn. were 2 A. Coalfield is in the bottom five of smallest schools in 1A and they are a very very young team.

They will buddy don't worry if you don't remember or know at all they only start 3 upper classmen. They start sophomores at 1st, SS, RF,CF, and their ace Warwick is a sophomore. They alley kid behind the plate is a junior and the only 2 seniors are Duncan and Hill who play 2nd and LF, and their 3rd baseman Evans is a freshman. This team will come around and it is only a matter of time before they do and it might be today against Sunbright.

They will finish their game vs. karns. Then they will play Webb or Kingston not sure which one yet.

Well rumor is that he isn't playing i guess to focus on excelling at the next level in football.

They will play it Monday and are looking to scrimmage later that week.

Well It looks like somebody doesn't know any baseball.Coalfield is a good shot at a district title or maybe even a region.Rockwood needs another pitcher and a shortstop.But they will be a very talented team.

Alley is a player.Rockwood also has a solid catcher in Marcus Whitaker.
