A few years ago i was in the same position the young man you are referring to is in the time between my junior year and senior year. I was able to maintain a beta club level gpa attend soccer practice and spring practice for football. When we had a game i was excused from practice. My coaches never made spring practice mandatory but i had the oppurtunity to start in football and that was most important so i made it work. I was able to keep my grades up during the whole period to. I agree with DearOldDad and Termite on this. The coaches shouldn't have made him choose but the point is this two week period shouldnt have been the determing factor on his grades they should have already been in line. It comes down to the young man and his commitment to football.

When tech was the most successful wasnt they pulling most of the talent from around the UC?

Im hoping the boys program is getting to where the girls program is as far as being in the mix for a state tourny bid every year. Does anyone else see that happening?

You got that right about the incoming ramsey he should be something else one of the best kids i've ever seen play in 8th grade.

I'm far from trying to hang a season on imcoming freshman but they'll bring the winning attitude that has been lost over the last three seasons. I'm sure they'll be pushing the upperclassmen to get better everyday in the weight room and practice.

Watching cannon county play this year they should be in contention next year for one of those top two spots in the district. I love the way they play so hard and dont give up.

I think the boys at LA can get the job done now. There is talent Brannon McCoin has definetly been baptized in fire and he should provide great leadership. Green at LB should be an impact player along with sircy. But hopefully the 8th graders coming up will bring some swagger back to a program in need of confidence, and I think they can contribute right away. But we should definetly be looking for good things from this year same coach same scheme two years in a row should be a tremendous help as well. I know coach lamb is hungry and going to get the most out of the boys at ole hog-eye!

To the LA seniors thank you for all your hard work i know it will not soon be forgotten you put together an amazing run with your time at LA. I thought the better team won yesterday in the boro and im not taking anything away from bolivar they played great, but did all the foul calls especially during the first part of the 4th quarter seem a little sketchy to anyone besides me? Not taking anything away from bolivar they played a great game but the foul calls seem to get a little out of control. But again congrats bolivar and bring home the gold!

Great game by bolivar they came out and executed and I was very impressed especially by the PG and he something else great team effort on there behalf go all the way and bring home the gold ball.

I definetly agree that stingy high pressure D should give anyone fits. And when you have a PTP like Dunn leading the charge on offense and creating this team can make a run. And dont count out the post play Ramsey has stepped up and played good this year.

It warmed my heart to know the bees will be watching both LA teams in the boro while there sitting at home. I highly doubt any support from baxter so have fun knowing where we are!!!

Congrats to coach melton what a great start to a career! I think they'll be fine without Dunn next year TJ definetly has star potential. And the youngest Ramsey boy was amazing at the county championship!

Any thoughts tonight about our LA girls and York?

Can the lady cats come out and play with fire and intensity and make this a game?

Does everyone think Dunn will get the record tonight or will LA fans have to wait another game to see it?

Why have the girls not played to there full potential this year?
