Lucky bounce after the hit that caused a fumble.

Game will kickoff at 8:00 Eastern / 7:00 Central.
I remember playing at Sale Creek in baseball back in the early 90’s. At the time I deemed that infield as having the most rocks than any other field in the TriState area. It was rough. They have come a long ways. Be proud of what you guys have now.

We are off this week, so who has the best 1A /2A game that will be streamed?
I’m sure there’s one on the NFHS Network. SP/Sale Creek is I believe, but I wouldn’t call it the “best” game to watch.

Did you play in the 1986 SP - North Sand Mountain game? I remember Lehr slugging through the slop up the middle to return a fumble I think for a score.
Nah my brother did. I was 90-93 football seasons

I agree with your standings. That Gordy vs Clay game might be closer than most think. It should be game of the week for that region.

If Gio ever returns, he will provide big help going into the playoffs. The Davis/Huntley D tackle combo would be tough for most people in playoffs.
8 hours ago, The Drunken Sailor said:Huntley alone is tough, put them both together and it will be a nightmare for most teams.
Yes Huntley has been my most impressive defensively the past couple years. Also, the improvement and addition of 64 Riley Taylor I believe has helped tremendously. You add Gio in that mix and that becomes 3 really good DL’s. Starkey on the end has been a most improved IMO and Peacock on the other end has had some big games. Our defense might give up some yardage at times but they have me along nicely as the season has progressed. It really hurt missing those Covid games. If we keep moving in the direction we’ve been then we will be just fine by playoffs.

For the past couple years SC has been this top10 team, a dark horse for the playoffs, yet we could have easily scored 100. I don’t expect this year to be any different.

That’s not what I meant you know me OnB. Lol. But anyways just saying you and a few other knew how bad this coach was, but went along with it anyways.

Worst 3 quarters of football I've seen at GB.CF didnt have a choice but to score.I left at half. The first TD drive CF earned the next 22 points we just absolutely gave away. After that it really didnt matter Momentum was all in CFs offense. Our first drive looked just like I expected it too, right down the field in the deep in the red zone.15 yarder by 55,then a false start so -20 yards and took our heads out of the game just like Oneida last year and OS this year and it's the same old song. The guy they call coach needs to set some standards on our team and be a leader.
I believe we are all seeing what y’all seen when hiring was made. I do commend y’all for at least giving him the benefit of doubt though!

As of last week he was the leading the nation in rushing yards.
Wow. They lost last night but I think he had another good game.

Edit to above:
sorry he isn’t 1A/2A.

I’d say the Bishop kid from Karns? I’m not from there but my cousins are. They told me about him last night. #1 rated back in the state of TN? Nation?

Tyner certainly looks the part. The early success was key for mc to try to take the wind out of the ram sails. Tyner had their chances to make it interesting and the Marion d stiffened several times. The same way that mc had chances to put the game away in the first half and couldn't because of the Rams. The head scratcher to me was the 4th and 1 at the three, why put in a wildcat qb when you have a 250 lb qb? I know he didn't run at all, but still. Good luck to the Rams going forward and I have a feeling you will see us or meigs again in the playoffs.
Would that rematch be 2nd rd or 3rd rd? And would it be at Jasper?

Sounds like Heath and Wes may be finding a groove.
Yep I’m sure a few adjustments were made and it’s working against weaker teams. I do think these coaches will have the young men prepared the best they can for each game. Stone is a defensive and offensive guru as far as breaking down schemes. I just hope all the coaches that Jones brought in are helping him 110%. Our inexperienced guys are starting to come into their element. They have the ability and will continue to work hard to help their teammates.

Gordy is much much better than folks give them credit. Injuries and Covid hurt them last year and year before. I also think TC is good. Sometimes it’s about matchups and atmosphere, and well, a little luck.
-
This is definitely a tough game to pick. I picked TC.

We will get corn-holed by Oakland. The O-line doesn't seem to be able to slow down a 95 y.o. granny.

I forgot about them but was thinking that was a no brainer anyways. We have some talent but not at that level yet

Yep Jermaine Copeland for me.

I just wished for a day we can keep SP crap on our threads and Jaspers crap on theirs. Just because I renewed my donation to Coacht Plus doesn’t mean I have to continue to put up with this crap. Both teams have a great chance to make it to State. Let us all be happy for kids and leave our own egos at the door. Geeezsh!

Food
several fast food places like Krystal’s, Wendy’s, arbys, KFC, Taco Bell, Long John Silvers right off the exit in Kimball. Right before getting into town in SP is a Sonic.
Back at the exit as far as sit-downs are Cracker Barrel, El Toril, and Kimball Chinese Buffet.
In town Stevarino’s is a great Italian Eatery.
*At the game we have 1 concession that has the regulars like grilled burgers, hot dogs, sometimes BBQ sandwiches, nachos, candy, etc. The 2nd is that Tower man’s Backdoor Cafe that usually serves Zaxby’s Nibblerz until they run out.
*we haven’t had much of a home season due to COVID so a lot of this may have changed

We can win the rest of our regular season games, but as long as others do too then by end of season we should be top 7 at least. This team has its struggles but the potential is there.
