  1. Coming up on game time and I can't wait to see what MC has this year. Real games show a lot more about a team than all the practice games. Like volsrock said JP accounted for a lot of yardage last year and Dillon Davis caught a lot of passes. I hope that Dillon does as well at QB as he did at receiver and that some receiver can gain the yardage that Dillon did last year. Last year is history and I'm sure that someone step up.
  2. Wow, missing 5 starters is not a good way to start the season. I hope MC wins and plays a good game with the players that are there.
  3. Unless I missed it, nothing has been said about the MC/Richland game in week 0. Who wins?
  4. I don't know for sure what the score was with the starters, maybe 4 or 5 scores to about 2 in favor of Moore County
  5. Maybe he is the one the math job was advertised for.
  6. When I see a job posted like this, for math only, it makes me think that they already have someone that teaches math in mind for the job.
  7. I didn't hear the first half, but I watched the second half on the computer. Gordonsville is good, but I expected a lot more from them after reading how good they were on this site week after week after week. The final score is not indicitive of the game. Eagleville still had a chance to tie until they threw the interceptoin. Good game Eagleville and good luck to Gordonsville next week.
  8. Yea, it's bad enough to be one of the smaller 3A schools, but to make it worse all the district games but one will be against 4A schools. If they can't schedule some smaller non-district schools they may a long season.
  9. I don't want to give my name. Let's just say that I'm a MC sports fan that enjoys seeing high school players compete and do their very best on every play.
  10. J.P. Evans is the type of player every coach should love to have on their team. He did everything within his power to put his team ahead on the last three plays. Take away the motion call, and there's no way he would not have scored from the one yard line. I hope he gets to play more football at the next level somewhere.
  11. Pulling for Marion County. Congratulations to Coach Mac and the team. I said early on that they would win several games this year, but they have done better that I expected.
  12. The bad thing is that this might have been the best group of officials we had all year, and they still blew the call.
  13. Congradulations to the raiders, the coaching staff and everyone involved in this year's great season. Keep you heads up raiders, the only team that don't lose it's last game game of the season is the state champion. I think you surprised several people this year with a young team. MC don't lose many players this year to gradulation, but we sure will miss the ones that we do lose. The future is bright for raider football.
  14. Yea, I know, but hopefully the coaches have fixed most of that problem. The players that are holding need to understand that most defenders can't catch our backs if the backs are already 20 yds or more downfield.
  15. MC also has a great coaching staff. I think that the Eagles are a good team that played a weak team last week. I'll bet they have more trouble stopping the MC offense and scoring on the MC defense than they had last week. I believe MC wins this week. The score may depend on what happens with turnovers and flags.
  16. I believe the raiders will win this game, despite what the MC sports writer has to say about how good the Eagleville offense is and how hard the MC defense will have to work to beat them. Maybe he is just trying to fire up the raider "D", if so it should work. If I didn't know better, I would think I was reading the Murfreesboro Daily News Journal instead of the Moore County News.
  17. MC needs to work hard and focus only on Eagleville this week. I know that MC can win and that the coaches will have a great game plan prepared.
  18. A lot of research that means nothing at all this year>>>
  19. You should never overlook a team coached by Coach Mac. It seems like he wins anywhere he goes.
  20. Monteray was not very good. If they have been scoring several points, then the defenses they played against could not be very good.
  21. I have always heard that holding could be called on every play. I think that you even mentioned it on this thread. If that's true, then call it. I'm kinda of a "black and white" thinker. If it's holding, then call it on the short plays as well as the long gains. I have seen every MC game this year and the Cascade game and the Forrest games we got several holding calls. Most were 30 yards behind the play and were not called until the runner was beyond the point of being caught from behind. I have also seen several times holding could have/should have been called on the other team that didn't get called. I'm not saying MC don't hold sometimes, but it just looks strange when the flag is not thown until the runner is crossing the goal line and the flag is 40-50 yards back upfield.
  22. MC only gets called for holding if the play goes for more than 10 yards or a TD. So they just need to keep their gains to less than 10 yards and score on short runs or passes and the holding calls should go away..
  23. I have not seen either team play, but I think South Pitt upsets Gville. Only time will tale.
  24. Congratulations to Coach Frost, his staff, and the entire Community team. They have worked very hard and improved each year. Coach Frost is a good coach, but he is also a good man.
