  1. Yeah, so now that I have had about 24 hours to think about what you said last night ... I am still speechless. I still think you are scared. It's okay ... I understand. What would it be like if Peter Parker actually knew Spider Man or Clark Kent actually met Super Man? The whole world would explode. Oh well ... be intimidated I guess. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  2. He learned being tough by being a Memphis State fan. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  3. I believe it would be because a certain #14 plays a Corner position right? Good kid. http://www.ballcharts.com/teams/index.php?...umboldtfootball http://www.humboldtschools.com/hhs/Home/in.../HHS_Photos.htm Cool HHS Photo Gallery as well. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  5. Probably the best I ever saw was Coach Cain taking a 4-6, 1991 Viking team from Coach Fuchs and making them into an 11-3 TEAM. Lost to Brentwood 21-0 in the 4th Round I believe. Also beat Milan that year 7-0 ... LOL. Went to the 3rd or 4th Round the next 2 years and Coach Tucker took the team Coach Cain built and took it a step higher to the Clinic Bowl in 1995. Lost to Marion Co. Those were some great years, even the next two were significant.
  6. Well, Gibson County's DB's better be fast. And USJ can't seem to stop the run, so it'll be interesting. LOL Seriously though, pressure Hardegree and run him all night long.
  7. You are wrong in that this is the "WESTVIEW VS. HUMBOLDT" thread ... It is not the "PLAYOFFS ARE COMING/PREDICTIONS FOR STATE PLAYOFFS/WHICH OF THESE TWO TEAMS GOES TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP?" thread. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> I thought you knew better Chevy48. Gee. I am still upset that you have not introduced yourself to me at a game. I hope you are not intimidated. And once again, you injected "Milan" into another thread that has nothing to do with them. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> The only game that matters this week to Westview is Humboldt. The only game that matters to Milan is Dresden. JCS and Peabody have a showdown to deal with. We can worry about other weekly games at other times. Thank you. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> LOL
  8. You know. FAM. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  9. Region 8-2A Back JCS Matt Hudson Westview Harrison Moore Buddy Legens If you look at the total player, both of these guys have touchdowns, interceptions, and yards from every position they play offensively and defensively. (i.e. Quarterback, Receiver, Running Back, Kickoff Return, Punt Return, Safety, Defensive Back) Lineman Offensive Line Zac Gregory Big Guy who opens up holes. Defensive Line Justin Burlison Travis Hayslett Quarterbacks should be weary of these two.
  10. No. I did not hit up McDonald's tonight. You had your chance though to pass GO and collect 2-$100 bills, but your game piece just did not seem to reach around the board like it could have. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  11. Okay. I really do not think it matters. LOL. Let the kids enjoy this win. It was huge for them. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Remember the kids? The ones that actually PLAYED the game.
  12. Sounds like the Campus Minister/Offensive Coordinator had things rolling along tonight. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Keep up the good work. Need to take care of Trention this week to make it stick though. Playoffs.
  13. The only game that matters right now is Humboldt. Only game that Milan will be worried about will be Dresden. And Cunningham did get hurt. He legitimately tried to come back in the game, but just couldn't. Gibson County has some good players. They are going to do some damage in the next couple of years. If you can pressure Hardegree and scare him out of the pocket, he will throw the ball. He will attempt to run, but just is not a scrambling Quarterback. IF they run the ball, it will be sweeps to the outside or something simple ... to the outside. Anyway.
  14. GC, when you go into a game with the attitude of ... "I think we have a chance, but if we don't win tonight then I'll come back on here and eat crow and admit it." That sounds flip-floppy. You do have to go into every game thinking that you are going to win ... but do it with a humble heart [Matthew 5:5]. The Terrell Owens of the world "talk smack", then get smacked by New England. If you have TOTALLY got faith in your team, state facts about the teams, stand behind them ... and hope they play their hearts out ... then you don't have to worry about eating crow. Winning is winning and losing is losing ... someone has to win and someone has to lose ... I have been on the losing side of many games, but you'll never see me flip-flop. You are a loyal Gibson County fan. Stay that way ... and don't "eat crow" ... because I know folks who were loyal fans of Crockett County back in the day when they were 0-10 every season ... and they are still loyal fans now. Loyal fans don't have to talk smack ... cause their loyalty to the team is what matters. State the facts, stand behind what you believe, and never admit there is crow to eat ... always room for improvement, but never crow to eat.
  15. I will have to admit that the only time I have seen a Westview fan say anything on here about anything, other than just commenting on the team, was because we were defending ourselves from people (GCPioneer) who are trying to make bulletin board material. My hope is that the Gibson County and Westview players are smart enough to understand that what certain people, whose name starts with GCPioneer, are only trying to get them worked up. Certain people, who again shall remain nameless, cough GCPioneer cough, flip-flop from team to idea to team to idea. Again, opinions are free and apple pies cost money, so when you try to get on people for the "way ya'll have been talking" ... do realize that you, GCPioneer, have done nothing but make a good Gibson County team ... look bad. I respect Coach Dyer, I have known and worked with him personally for several years. He is a good man. Westview as a whole misses and respects him. Remember that the "stuff" you say on here ... does reflect on him and the team. Don't take him or them down with the "way [you] have been talking". /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  16. Nope. Your opinion is apparently free though. Two apple pies at McDonald's actually costs $1.10. You are one of those people that likes to stand around and try to clench water in your fists aren't ya? /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  17. chargerman4 & chargers182002 You got Boardwalk? I need 1. /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />
  18. I am sure glad the thread is "Milan/Gibson Co. @ Westview". I won a free breakfast sandwich the other day with my Monopoly game pieces. I am sure that I can only use them 1 at a time. Though I wish I could use all three of them at the same time, I know I can't. "See Official Rules for weekly play dates for each $1 Million prize and Game Stamps required for a Winning Combination." "Void where prohibited." /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  19. Have Faith. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  20. Is that an average of 32 minutes? That could very well mean that those teams scored quickly and had disgruntled defensive lines who gave up minutes on a lot of 3rd and 4th down conversions. Been in a lot of games where our Time of Possession was in the teens and still beat the other team by quite a bit. Its not domination by the O-line ... it just meant that the D-line was giving up HUGE 1st Down plays in a quickness and being run off the field, which in turn forces the O-line back out on the field. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  21. I thought this game was over on the 12th? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  22. It's sad that so many folks spend so much time trying to make up bulletin board material that most people laugh at ... or in some cases take it too seriously and forget to concentrate on the game. Wouldn't it be different if this was the football field? Wouldn't it be great if this was where the battle was won? I don't know that I would trade too much for a Friday night football game. Good thing too ... cause on here the game never would get finished. Some are still playing games that ended 10 years ago. Similar to the JCS - USJ game this week with all of the passing. Good thing it starts at Seven? We can probably listen to the middle of the 1st Quarter after all the other games are finished Friday Night. Anyone want to? Maybe I'll just catch up on the 4th quarter late Saturday afternoon ... or in this boards case ... sometime in 2009. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
  23. I am glad the topic changed to "The best O lines that 'supposedly chop block' in Region 8 2A".
