  1. I am not well-read in the rule book, and don't know about this, but is stalling called the same in the second OT as it is throughout the first 6 min.? I have nothing against West, and think he is a wonderful rider. My question is about the officiating being consistent. If he was hit for stalling twice in the second period, why was he not hit for it in 2OT? It seemed to me when he was hit in the second period, he was working halves and crossbodies, while in the second OT, he was sitting with a crab and not working anything. So, is there no stalling in the second OT?
  2. Does anybody have scores for the championship and consolation finals? Would be much appreciated.
  3. Yeah, that's him. He won Harpeth at 215, but has wrestled 189 most of the season. Also, to Rabid Monkey, Cox is going to eat you up tomorrow. Hey nunu, I believe that last time they wrestled Stuart won by 4 or 5. And then Cox, who was supposed to "eat him up" didn't even show last night. To my knowledge, Stuart has only lost 2, maybe 3, regional matches(to help you out, pimpin, that would place him in the top four seeds for regionals, which would qualify him for states if he wrestles to seed). How many has Cox lost, and why such the vote of confidence?
  4. Does anyone have the list for the small schools' dream team? Would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Can anyone give times for all of the sessions, both Friday and Saturday? Would be much appreciated.
  6. I'm sorry to hear that. Why won't he be wrestling his senior year?
  7. Coach Blair, is there gonna be any mat time at Brentwood tomorrow to drop for the tournament Saturday?
  8. Anyone in Nashville having open mats like this any time soon?
  9. Coffin beat Clemmons by 8 on Monday, and Clemmons got pinned by NCS's 140 lber.

    Legs

Do you want them to be? If so, then they are. If not, then they're not.
  11. Well, I believe it looking at the names. I see that Ryan only wrestled 2 regular starters, and that Hillsboro wrestled their whole starting lineup. I'm guessing that's the younger Oddo, and Whit is a freshy. Could this be Ryan's freshman team?

  13. Hillsboro has beaten McGavock twice, and Overton has beatean Antioch once. Nothing is a lock in wrestling, but I'd put my money that it'll be an Overton-Hillsboro final. Should be a heck of a match.
  14. Hillsboro thinks they have a good shot at beating Overton, but if they beat them once Overton would shift the lineup with all their backups. Hillsboro doesn't have the luxary of so many backups, so they wanted to take their one shot at beating Overton at the regions instead of the districts
  15. Byrd and Donahue did wrestle earlier in the year. Great match! Donahue won the tie-breaker in double OT. At Hillwood this weekend the kid from Dickson(forgot the name) beat Beasley in the semis, and then Byrd in the finals. He looks serious.
  16. Umm, were you asleep when he lost to Pack?
  17. At 135 Drinkwine from Overton easily defeated Sholly from Smyrna. I believe the score was 11-3. And 2 of Sholly's were with 5 seconds left when the match was already over.
  18. Pack isn't looking that tough. He didn't win the Overton tourny last week.

    upsets

That was a huge upset, considering Pack beat Bird 3 times last year, and even beat him Friday night. Bird really stepped it up for the match on Saturday.
  20. Bird from MLK beat Martin from Overton at 160, and finished above him at regionals.
  21. Raymond Dunning. Ranked 15th in the nation(I wouldn't put that much stock in those rankings, but still). I think he would easily beat anyone within 2 or 3 weight classes.
  22. How can you say in one sentence that region V is the largest, thus the hardest to win, and in another sentence say that the region champs "STINK!"? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Smyrna proponent. I've never even seen them wrestle. But if the real talent is at Brentwood, Franklin, and Forrest, then how did Smyrna win the region fair and square? I think all these people bad-mouthing Smyrna must be Franklin and Brentwood fans with a big case of sour grapes. Face it, Y'ALL LOST! And you say Brentwood will dominate. Where were they last year? They weren't even in the region finals! Even if Smyrna doesn't win regions this year...Forrest? Come on. Is Forrest really gonna be able to touch Smyrna? Nope. Sorry, buddy. I think you're gonna get some surprises this year if you think it's gonna turn out like that.
  23. Daniel Rouse at Cumberland wrestled at MLK in Nashville Rojan Garret at Cumberland wrestled at Tennesse School for the Blind [Edited by kingwrestling on 10-2-02 5:48P]
  24. Kendrick Sadler - Harvard - Nashville - MLK http://www.fas.harvard.edu/%7Eharvwres/index.html
  25. Something like that would be great. What are the TSSAA rules on off-season wrestling? Is there any more information for when and how and all that?
