Need a 2 and 3 for an existing team in SE TN. The Hoopstars are based in the area within about 40 miles of Cleveland. Most practices take place in Bradley and Polk Counties. Hoopstars team has competed with good success for the last 5 years. If interested please respond by e-mail!

I believe you are correct and I have been caught! But Hater was getting it by for so long (WV beat CHS last year) on the original post that I could not resist growing it a little bit especially when good ol Tnwareagle got involved and confused last year with this year. Also I was able to get in a shot about WV beating BCHS twice (like that better?) which is good whenever Tnwareagle is involved. However to keep it all clear WV beat BCHS twice last year and lost to them once this year. WV lost to CHS twice last year and beat them this year! It was a good game, and McMinn did show character by coming back. However McMinn nor any other district teams other than Cumberland are on track to win the district. All teams have to rely on other teams to beat Cumberland at least 2 or 3 times for anyone other than Cumberalnd to win the district. I don't like it anymore than you do but those are the facts!

I don't think recent 2 years have proven the Mcminn County is better tan Bradley in Basketball, you certainly have had problems with WV the last couple of years, and Cleveland just took MCHS apart has alot of Fire players on it. I agree with you as regards the work ethic of all AAU players who try too better themselves in the offseason, it typically shows as the players that do this typically are a schools better players.

Volntn, Believe me I'm not obsessed with you (he,she,it,and etc.) or BC. I merely replied to a WV / CHS post. However the last time I posted on a BC thread you told me to worry about WV and our schedule (check the post dude or dudette), thus I just gave you the basic same response. I have no relation to Alyson what so ever, and personally based on your biased posts against WV and Alyson at times I really dont care who or what you are. The only reason we are on same topics is that I do have an interest in all the Bradley / Cleveland basketball teams and actually pull for them all except when they play each other. If you prefer I will refer to you as heshe hope that covers the bases.

No CHS does not have anyone to matchup with Butler in the backcourt, but they have in general good guards. Butler is indeed all-district material if not more, which is indicated by the fact that she just signed with the Crimson Tide (ugh). WV has a good atmosphere for basketball especially big district games, the WV fans expect to win as they have been a very successfull AA team including a final 4 appearance last year. The fans will be loud but it is not a hostile crowd, should be loud and fun.

I agree with you on most of your comments, however your comment regarding the lack of good AAU programs in Cleveland is just not true. I'm aware of your connections to the Insells and the SSS/Flight but that still does not allow you to state a falsehood. The Topguns, Liberty, and Cleveland Hoopstars are suppling on a % basis the majority of the local starting basketball players for both the MS and HS. These 3 organizations have provided and continue to provide the local area basketball players with an ability to continue improving their skills while playing against other high quality teams. I have no problem with the fact that a few of the local players such as yours have played with other outside the area teams but the majority either have played only for local AAU teams or for a large part of their AAU careers for local teams. I believe the strong elementary and local AAU teams are what sets Cleveland apart from Chattanooga in BB. I have had many local coaches of HS and MS say the same.

Good to hear from Volntn, knew he could not wait very long to get a topic started to try to put WV down. I'll take WV by 6, think it will be a good game. Agree that it is WV first chance to look at a real team, and start to see how good they really are. It will be determined by how well they handle Clevelands full court pressure. Volntn instead of worrying about WV and CHS I would think u would be more concerned about BC not covering its homecourt against CCHS!

Volntn, As usually you seemed to be unable to grasp reality. Does not sound like either team played well, probably due to the fact that it was both teams first really important district game. However you have to face facts and worry that you lost to CC at BC and Foster only had 9 points. She will have more points in the next game as will Hood and its tough to beat CC at CC as hopefully you know. You have been talking about the subs and D in threads throughout the girls BBall site, and indicated that because of the vast improvement in both from last year that BC would be the district power. It may still happen but this is not a great start to be the district power you have to win your home games.

"People without a clue you gotta love'em" Glad you let us all in on the D thing and the sub thing maybe other teams can now work on that aspect of the game since you have now enlightened us all to these key factors we apparently did not know about and only BC has. Team vs Team is what we will all see in the next weeks, hope the games are good and that someone from this County can knockoff Cumberland. By the way good to know you love your parents.

JP has such an outstanding supporting cast that everytime you look at their scoring you see JP with 30 something so it looks like that solid supporting cast has not developed at BC either. In fact on a night that BC only scored 45 points JP scored 30 something so don't talk to me about ABs lack of support until BC proves that they have something other than an occasional KE breakout.

Volntn, Guess what BC had more Ls than Ws last year including 2 to that weak WV team that was AA. Well at least this year those 2 Ls will be to AAA team if that makes you feel better.

Yikes! All of this over a Nov game, I'm just glad titles were not on the line it sounds like you all would have had to let the players sit in the stands and watch the fans fight. Has there every been a close HS game where the refs were not blamed by at least 50% of the fans for being biased. Does it happen? Yes but not as often as most people want to believe. It sounds like HHS was the better team the night they played AE, deal with it, maybe reversed the next time. Hope all of those players injured for both teams are doing well, what is Caits knee status? Inner City, Ghetto, Scum, racists; I thought this was a sports discussion form not a chance to get on a soapbox and call people and maybe kids a bunch of silly names, and make some type of commentary on society based on some comments regarding a game. CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG! I HOPE SO WE ARE GOING TO BE IN ALOT OF GYMS TOGETHER, MAYBE WE SHOULD TRY TO SET SOME POSITIVE EXAMPLES FOR THE KIDS.

Alyson is an exceptional player with the ability to carry her team, however I think she is better at making everyone on the team better (the mark of really great players) by being very unselfish ( sometimes she is to unselfish) thus her team does not just stand and watch. She has exceptional range, and can be physical and attack and penetrate. She has the ability to create or play completely within the offense. She plays very good D and does a good job with help D and Doubles. At 5'10" and a lefty she is tough to handle at the point. I think Bama got a good one, and I think this is very important for their new coach. Wescharge perhaps they could have done a better job with their D but I think Alyson would have been able to put up points against any scheme and she did have some help on that team, 2 players from that team are playing college ball on scholarship.

You keep that rhythm but you may have to change the timing as WV was only playing with 4 of its 5 starters. One of WV's better guards was playing post as WV's tallest post was missing. Take one of your best 3 of the court and you will be in WV situation. Hopefully both teams will be at full strength next time. I believe that MCHS, WV, and Bradley may have some of the best freshmen teams in E. TN. regardless of classification. In any event MCHS is up on WV 1-0 as like they say you have to play what you bring, and ain't Lookin for an excuse just hope both teams are at full strength next time, look forward to next game.

After Jackie no one is a proven step up player, that is if after Alyson no one is a step up proven player? Guess if Ashton, Alex, Chinia have not proven anything yet then Lauren, Calli, Tiffany, haven't either. However I seem to recall BC and WV playing a couple times last year and I believe at least for WV a few of these players having a little something to do with the outcome. Well I guess we will see which teams supporting cast is better but it won't be until they play!

If the officials are certified and payed, admission is charged, the game is not called a playday or scrimmage, the school gets to sell concessions, and we are going to call them HOF games. Then lets count them as games whether W or L. If they don't count then don't count statistics, and call them HOF playdays.

If your mother was not embarrased for that kind of emotional immaturity I feel sorry for her and you. If you think cursing and acting classless and clueless is a show of passion your sadly mistaken. I hope for your future childs sake that you and your very educated and passionate mother avoid their athletic activities. Hope my daughter never has to cover a future act of borish behavior on my part with a claim of my dads very educated and passionate so overlook his stupidity. Yea and Cleveland took 26 shots to WVHS 6 but you know which team is still playing tonight WVHS. Stats can be misrepresented in alot of ways long kicks, or angle kicks that don't have a chance but are scored as shots and keeper saves when they really are not. I will take 5 real shots on goal over a large number of sprayed KICKS that have no chance but it does look better if you can say yea but we took alot more shots and just were not lucky. The best stat is most shots under a W. Good luck to all teams!
