  1. Oak Ridge beating Maryville wouldn't benefit me as a William Blount fan, and no special joy would be derived from that, as my Governors have sadly put the pads up for this year. I'm just hoping to watch a good game. And as far as the comment about Coach Blade goes, not many coaches have been able to beat Maryville in the postseason, so it's noteworthy when you play one that has. But I'm sure you already knew that
  2. Should be a good game. It's amazing how Oak Ridge has turned it on down the stretch, I'm extremely impressed by the Wildcats run. I think this one will be a lot closer than some would say...especially if Oak Ridge holds onto the ball. Plus, Coach Blade knows how to beat Maryville in the postseason. I say Oak Ridge in a close one...24-21.
  3. Devils by 20+. Greeneville is the best team in the state this year.
  4. They were in the semi-finals the last year in their old district. Not too shabby if you ask me.

  6. Devils win big on their march to the title!
  7. Senior Night at WB...wow. This year has really flown by! It feels like the jamboree was just yesterday. Senior Night is always bittersweet...for a lot of these guys, this is the last time they'll ever get to play football. On the other hand, I wish all our seniors the best and look forward to seeing what they accomplish with their lives after this chapter ends. I'd like nothing more than for the Govs to come prepared Friday night to play their hearts out and break our losing streak against Farragut. Play hard, WB, and don't leave anything on the field. Like a coach of mine once said, "You'll always remember your last one."
  8. Go Govs! I'm pulling hard for an upset to potentially extend the careers of this year's senior class into the playoffs
  9. Catholic hasn't been in 3A since Pemberton left, either...
  10. Does anyone know what the playoff situation is looking like for WB?
  11. Alright, I guess it's my turn to start this week's thread! The Govs are traveling to Lenoir City after a tough loss against West. Can WB bounce back and make a run at the playoffs here in these last three weeks? Lenoir City is a much improved football team this year, and very dangerous. I think the Panthers are definitely headed in the right direction. It's going to be a tough game this week, but I think the Govs will end up pulling it out. Let's hear everyone's thoughts and predictions on this week's game I say: WB- 17 LC- 14
  12. What a game! I'm so proud of my Govs for contiuning the tradition of domination in this "rivalry." Great job WB!!
  13. Here's a little background behind those stats. WB's schedule: Sevier County, Karns, Bearden, Jefferson County and Catholic. Heritage's schedule: Karns, South Doyle, Lenoir City, Seymour, and Maryville. You don't think those first four games happened to inflate your stats a little bit, do you? I'll give it to you, there is one difference between this year's Heritage squad and previous versions: this year's didn't even sweep through their first few weak teams before getting thrashed the rest of the way. Oh, and since you're so keen on stats, let me throw a number out there: 5110. That's how many days have passed since Heritage has rang the bell!
  14. I can see where you may think 27-10 is a little bit much, but WB did put up 28 on Karns, and even though Heritage beat Karns 12-3 earlier in the year, those two teams appeared to be pretty evenly matched. Like tpoole12 said, WB moved the ball extremely well against Catholic but just didn't finish drives. I think this is the week that everything comes together for the Govs and they make a big statement.
  15. WB takes this one, 27-10. The Govs have shown improvement every week of the season and they really have some weapons on offense with Hunter Saunders and Jesse Crisp. We look forward to ringing the bell for the fourteenth straight year. Go Govs!
  16. Govs take it, 28-7! Great job guys
  17. Looking forward to seeing William Blount at the jamboree tonight. Go Govs!!!
  18. Thanks for the info! Looking forward to seeing two good teams go at it
  19. What time is the Alcoa scrimmage tomorrow?
  20. Thanks jake! I'm looking forward to seeing the Govs in action, and 7 on 7 will have to do until August
  21. Does anyone know when the Govs have any 7 on 7 games or scrimmages coming up?
