  1. I do plan on getting there early, and could care less the condition of the stadium. It will still be the best rivalry game of this area, and a great night for HS football. I do hope our pass defense improves, and I am anxious to see this new offense scheme/set by Tullahoma.
  2. I really hope the tape issue is solved, and highly doubt it was on purpose. I just can't believe a staff lead by Coach Adkins or Coach Carr would act that way. Here is my outlook on the game: FCHS: Without their starting quarterback and trying to learn new offense, the Rebels didn't play too bad against an incredibly strong WC team. Our defense is improved from last year and onyl gave up 14 to WC (230 yards total). I feel like with Shedd returning to the lineup, it will boost the moral and production of the offense. If the Rebels can keep solid defense and avoid giving up big pass plays, they will definately be in the game late. Our running game is very solid, and hopefully can help set the tone Friday night. I also like the way Coach Adkins has improved our tea attitude and discipline, this team is much improved and has alot of potential. Tullahoma: I wish I could have been at two games at once, because the LC game sounded like a great one. I had heard nothing but amazing things about LC and always respect any Tullahoma team and their potential; however, didn't expect them to take predicted region contending LC to overtime. They will have to work hard to gain anything on the ground, but a solid passing game will expose FC's weakness at DB. If they can stopn the run and force the Rebels to throw, they will be in good shape to get their first win of the season. I also have alot of respect for Coach Olive and Coach Britton. I am glad Coach Britton found a new home and have nothing but praise about him as a person, teacher, or a coach. I wish him and the Wildcats luck, just not very much on Friday night! I am very excited about Friday night, and will be there early and ready to go. The crowd is going to be huge and loud, creating only more adrenaline and hype for the players and this game. I hope both teams are healthy and prepared for one of the most popular games on either team's schedule.
  3. He was suspended for violating team rules, he should be back this week for rival Tullahoma
  4. Although the score was 21-0, I did find alot of positives about the Rebels tonight. First off, I am very excited about our new coaching staff and the discipline/attitudes that seem to be installed into our team this year. We did have a few chances inside their 20 to score, but it was obvious we were missing a starting quarterback and still learning a new system. Overall, defense looked good, and only allowed a few big plays to a good offense. I am excited about this team and its coaches. I will be there next week against rival Tullahoma, hoping to see us notch our first "W".
  5. Well, putting loyalty aside, it could be a long night for FC. All I ask is we play hard and disciplined through every whistle and try to keep it close. Anything can happen...GO REBELS!
  6. Shedd won't be starting, and last I heard top 2 receivers are not 100%. Friday night will be misleading to fans, because FC will be a stronger team than they appear against a stong WC, and with some starters out.
  7. So Shedd will or will not start this Friday night against Wilson Central?
  8. I just got my season tickets a few days ago and will be at the jamboree tonight. I'm glad the new season is finally here!
  9. I would like to stop by and watch one of these....do you know starting times?
  10. are there any exhibition or scrimmages for FCHS before opening night?
  11. I have found my way back to this site, and want to say congrats to Coach Atkins and I am very excited for a new year of FCHS football. I plan to attend all the games this year and hope to see several wins! Good luck to the guys, and I can't wait for opening night!
  12. I agree with both of you. In most positive, the team for next year has alot of upside....and I do beleive this friday will really start to tell the tale for FC, even with only 2nd game and no dictricts yet.
  13. shaq shedd didnt look that bad at qb....needs to get rid of the ball quicker (probably no one open) but he is too fast to be sacked as much as he did. we have alot of young guys that can make plays, and your right going to need to be a team effort, but the effort by Martin in the last game was excellent....he had some runs with 5+yards after first hit
  14. too much arm tackling by FC.....i remember one run when their RB was dragging two FC defenders for 5 yards. We are going to need people stepping up making big plays, and big hits....again not waiting to play with some heart and toughness until they are down 2 TD's and finally get a TD from Terrance Martin(RB) who has busted his butt every run. I saw alot of positives from our team, but *potential* is only the future....we will need *peformance* from our skilled players and leaders friday night
  15. After T-towns strong effort last week vs. Lincoln its hard not to see them as realistic favorite. The rebels are going to have to stop the run, and show some passion early on. They cannot sit around and decide to show some heart after we finally score a touch-down like the WC game (only to lose that after they came back down and scored). This team needs to come pumped up at opening kick off in front of huge home crowd, and play a very solid football game.
  16. naturally. I am very excited about the start of the season and hope fc can pull a solid 17-7 win friday night
  17. do we(fc) have a jamboree against siegel tomorrow night?
  18. after the riverdale scrimmage, FC looks like they are starting to come around, and I think after the good effort they had....will create a very positive attitude getting ready for siegel jamboree and opening night at wilson central (good first game to get ready for big FC/tullahoma matchup)
  19. anyone else going to the scrimmage tomorrow?
  20. I will be there tommorrow afternoon, I am just wanting to get a good look at the team, but a nice 27-10 win would be nice
  21. *bump I saw the team practice for a short time today and they looked very good with everyone working hard and encouraging each other to get better....I cant wait for Blackman scrimmage
  22. aug. 7 & 10 around 3:00 I think vs. blackman and riverdale both at Fc *someone please correct me if I' m wrong
  23. all that looks good, not too many carries for robinson with him likely playing every play at LB. Phillip Dixon is a good hard nosed player, and ryan stovall is working on it and can be a good one.
  24. 1. Cookeville 2. Lincoln 3. Coffee 4. FC 5. Cumberland
