  1. I agree with KnightTime05. Golden Tate will definitely make an impression this season.
  2. To end this forum.... "Nobody can beat Courtney Coffey from jp2 in sate".... DUH he won. Maybe next year when he is a senior, some DI schools can challenge and schedule JPII... unless they are scared.
  3. How could we forget soccer????? But this topic is basketball. And tonight was a GREAT game!
  4. As far as I know, Coffey wrestles a lot of DI kids... and has yet to lose to them in the past two years. Maybe someone CAN beat him- but they HAVEN'T yet.
  5. Don't know if they'll get fined... even if they do, it's not going to take ANYTHING away from tonight's victory! We got 'em in football AND baskteball so far this year.
  6. I agree. In my entire 25 years, I have never watched a more exciting high school basketball game. I have no fingernails left!! I'm a Knights fan but am going to give props to Ryan. They played hard... And both teams (and fans) had class. A great night! Can't wait for Ryan to come visit us in two weeks!
  7. Take a second... You asked for the top wrestlers in the state- not the best in technique! Courtney Coffey may not have the "technique" but he was undefeated in Tennessee as a sophomore and currently as a junior. Technique OBVIOUSLY doesn't win everything. His only losses in the past year and a half have come from wrestling the same guy in KY... so no, he's not the best wrestler in KENTUCKY... BUT go by the numbers. That's what it all boils down to isn't it??????????
  8. Brittany Abernathy from JP II. She does a great job and can't wait to see her square up against Brentwood Academy's post. Abernathy has stepped up her game even more since C. Leavell was injured. Lots of double doubles from this senior prospect.
  9. Isn't Gaston Miller committed to Riverdale?
  10. Dean, I will get you the information on the contact guy for the tournament. I will call you tomorrow!
  11. He's wrestling at 215... on occasion he'll go up to heavyweight for the practice.
  12. Don't be surprised if the Lady Knights of JP2 makes some noise over Christmas break. They are a strong team- they made it to the DII State tournament last year and lost no seniors.
  13. Does anyone have results from Saturday's tournament at Friendship Christian. Their website gave team results. I'm looking for individual winners, particularly at the 130, 135, 160, 215.
  14. I agree- Courtney Coffee from JP2 is the strongest in State. His true test will come when the Knights travel to Orlando for the Zack Jarzynka Tourney over Christmas.
