seems to me there are still 4 backs in any backfield. you see what you will see. the offense d'burg is running negates the speed they possess. one fair season at obion doesnt make a coach great. i'm not down on the program or even the coach, but i think the scheme now is a step back into the past of football trends. the spread o is the way to go and thats my opinion......which is what all this is. we are all stating what we feel. so lets wait and see what happens as the play-offs come. everyone here seems to think the gold ball is ours. i hope thats true, but talk will not get it done. i havent seen anything to prove that we can beat the nashville teams on their turf. i not saying the players are the problem. they play with great skill and heart. penalties and a lack of focus are obvious. thats a coaching flaw. if you cant finish a flawed ripley team how do you play 4 good quarters in middle tn? ya'll think being a fan means you shouldnt constructively evaluate your team. i want to win a gold ball as badly as anyone, but i want to see focus and decisiveness out of the coaches. while i dont try to blame them for all the pentalties i see the delay of games against haywood ( 3 on 3 and long) were cracks in the armor. it happened again last night. shouldnt it be improving? you say the staff is saving plays for crucial games. practice may make perfect, but execution in a stressful situation shows you were you are at. i want to see more proof on the field.
