  1. Jordan Murphy OL/DL Camden. Dominant all year. Chop blocked every game, all game, but still in backfield during 80% of defensive plays. Don't know his exact stats, but they are very impressive.
  2. Alcoa by a ton. Good luck CAK.
  3. I thought camden's derick easley's four TD's on about 8 carries and 200 yards rushing should have gotten player of the week. But that's my biased opinion.
  4. I didn't know that the offense you run makes a certain defense be able to stop it. I thought it was the atheletes on the field. Keep thinking that Camden only runs the wing T. Everybody that played them thought that this year and got smoked. Only team that got close was westview and they beat milan, so there you go....McKenzie did ok after they were down 20-0 but still lost. Can't wait for round 3 of playoffs as long as both teams make it to Camden. Then we will see which team stops who!
  5. Wow.....never saw this one coming! Congrats to the Tigers.
  6. Congrats to the Lions on a big win to secure the Region 11 AA title and a 10-0 regualr season. Now onto the playoffs and hopefully a successful run at Cookville. Home throughout sounds great to me.
  7. Just let them play the Bethel Wildcats......they are a small college team(McKenzie, TN).....and I promise you, they would lose by alot. Comparing a high shcool team with a college team is rediculous. You are talking about Mr. Football candidates from all over playing on college teams against young and immature players. The pass defense would be very difficult for any high shcool team facing a college level QB with good, big receivers. That's like comparing the Oregon Ducks with the SF 49ers. It wouldn't even be a game. Defense would dominate the Oregon offense. Same thing would happen to HS team. Quit with the rediculous notions about them being good enough to let them play college teams. LMAO
  8. I don't see why teams wouldn't keep their "rivalrys" in play. Huntingdon didn't drop their games with McKenzie, Camden, Milan, or Westview this year. Their schedule was brutal for a single A team. I heard they were next year but that game means as much to Camden, McKenzie, Milan, and Westview as does a playoff game. It's bragging rights amongst friends and co-workers from other communities. I hate the Mustangs as much as anyone, but to see them off the schedule is a travesty. That's what I hate about the new playoff scheme. It destroys those rivalries. If Alcoa and Maryville didn't play, what would that do to those towns being that close. The TSSAA is trying to mandate too much instead of letting the teams decide who they want to play. Play 6 district games and 4 non-district games and base playoffs on district standings and tie breakers. The TSSAA is trying to be like the NFL too much. In college you can have a team 7-5 with a conference record of 7-0 playing in a conference title game instead of a team 9-2 with a conference record of 6-1. This playing up and down shouldn't effect your playoff run.
  9. Camden completes the sweep of the district. 47-13
  10. I think Camden has too much offense for Creekwood's defense. Camden's defense played sub-par last week. Gave up some big runs but tightened up late and took over. Don't think this will be as close as Cheatham county game. Never know though. We will see.
  11. I think one of Camden's biggest problems last night was that the offense was scoring so quickly that it kept the defense on the field so much. Hats off to the Cheatham Co. RB's and offensive line. They opened up some holes off tackle and the LBs of Camden didn't read and react to the plays very well. That was definately the largest line our defense has faced all year. #45 was a mutant! He was huge. Is he being recruited by SEC schools yet? He should be. He seemed to be able to catch a little bit. I probably would have had him on the interior line myself. Hated to see #11 go down. He was a talented player. Very fast too. Good luck to the Cubs the rest of the year. Represent Division 11 well. You shouldn't have ANY problems with Waverly next week if yall play like you did this week. Go Lions!
  12. Sounds good to me! I will have to see what my schedule is gonna be that week. I may have to go to Nashville on Wednesday instead of Thursday which would kinda mess up my plans to come on to Alcoa. Will have to see.
  13. I wouldn't mind it a bit. I'd rather play at LP Field. That would be the proper stage. Don't think TSSAA would let any of their precious dollars slip away to any charity though. How about we meet in a muddy field and play tug of war instead. That would be more likely to happen. Great idea though.
  14. Good ole fashion mud slinging. I love it. Buildup for a good game if it happens. Better just worry about Cheatham County this week though. Lions 48 Cubs 13.
  15. Has the painted bridge ventured over to the Camden thread. Good to see you my friend. I'm actually thinking of coming to see the Alcoa/CAK game. Of course, I would have to wear my Camden gear so I would stand out a little!
  16. I don't know if they would lose to any of these teams, but it would be alot harder for them to go undefeated against the types of competition there is in D2. There is so much size and speed in that division. I know Alcoa has a fantastic team, but to play a team like Baylor, Brentwood Academy, or Ensworth week in and weak out would definately be a dog fight. I have always said that I thought Brentwood was better than Alcoa but that's because of the atheletes they have. Then Baylor notches them by a point. I'd say for sure that these teams will never play as of right now. MUS was definately the best team in Tennessee last year IMO but for the size of Alcoa they are studs. Without them playing it will always be speculation. I have a feeling this thread will get nasty soon! LMAO
  17. Did you do the write-up on the game on the Cubs fan page? If so, very well done!
  18. That right there is too funny! I don't care who you are. We will be tailgaiting tomorrow before the game. Stop by and stay for a while if you wish.
  19. Gotta beat Cheatham county I think and then it's a lock. Could be wrong though. Haven't looked at standings in a while.
  20. It is very true that Milan has owned the Lions for a long time, but not so fast my friend. Camden is much, much faster this year than they have been since I have followed them. They also pass the ball fairly successfully lately. They are not just a Wing-T running team. You may not even see the Wing-T much if both teams make it to the matchup in November. Don't be deceived, we remember that game last year. The injuries we suffered the week before crippled us. No excuses though. That's football. Camden has been hitting their stride from game 1 and keeps getting better. They look past no one. Now, back to Milan troll. This post is for Camden and Cheatham Co. Hopefully you will have a chance to post about a Milan @ Camden game.
  21. We will be tailgating before the game if you wanna come by for some refreshments and food. You are more than welcome to stop by and shoot the breeze with me!
  22. Actually, I came over here and made a post before Fairview got beat. Then I made a comment on them after they played someone with a winning record. Fairview had the 101st ranked schedule in AA football with only 5 teams with an easier schedule. Secondly, the record of opponents that Fairview "WON" the game was 7-28. The record of Camden's opponents is 27-21 so I guess they have a little harder schedule than the Jackets. Your "district" is one of the weakest in the state so don't go talking about districts. Camden didn't pick the district with all these weak middle tn teams, it was thrust upon us. We would much rather be playing the other good teams in west TN. Who in your district is good? Giles....Page....trust me when I say this, if they played on a neutral field, Camden would be a 14 pt favorite against either team and would probably cover...easily. We play the some of the best in West Tennesee in our non district. Who does Fairview play?????? NOBODY
