OUCH!!!!! BUSTED!!!!! Sorry to all those who are hurt by the lack of character some people have displayed in the name of your church and school. Not sorry for those who have brought the DISgrace. Life is not fair and seems to be even less fair to those who choose an easy way to success, and many times inocent people suffer as well. I see that what many off us knew to be true is brought to the surface from the dark hole inwhich it was hiding. Looking back it seems Saterfield was right some 5 years ago that we talked. I think you should have kept the MAN who wanted to do it the right way, instead of the guy you got now and the rest of the corrupted break the rules staffers. You paid in many ways to win, and in retrospect you gained nothing. You have no respect from others, what wins you got mean nothing to anyone but yourself, and the hardware in your trophy case belong somewhere else.

oh my the MIGHTY RAMS may have finally crossed one to may lines! Such ashame that young teenage kids work so hard to accompish something that may be takin away due to the lack of responsibily, class and character of the adults they were looking up to. So sad the the message that has been taught to these kids. Never had one good experiance when playing or watching a grace team. The lack of character, class, and christ-likeness was all i ever experianced. YOU REAP THAT YOU SOW!!! I didn't think that oldeagle would respond. It's hard to argue with the truth, but I've got plenty more ammo if he takes a notion. As far as Unaka, I hear they have a very good qb. They will need it. He made one mistake saying that Hampton would not sack him. I will be there to see. I'll respond!! No doubt we have just as many STUDENTS as hampton if not more. Funny thing i got a call just this week from a friend up your way wondering how you all at hampton were hidding some students when it comes to your "Recorded Enrollment". However I COULD CARE LESS!! As for us here at Cosby. The reason we have 130lbs. d linemen is because the big boys in the halls have no interest in playing football. Their interest are in other things. That being said we coach what wants to play. Had 15 Kids Quit by week 2. 9 of those were Fr. So. Lineman good sized kids, 1 other was returning starter at fullback and Liinebacker. Why they quit? Glad you asked. They could not handle the Demands, Work Ethic, Dedication, Commitment, Preparation, and of course new strength and conditioning coach thats a retired navy seal. Which is what it takes to make it in our program. Also for some reason some good players still want to go to the other school in the county. You forget to realize that we are REBUILDING A PROGRAM that was never STRONG in a school that thinks the world revolves around a round ball you bounce and throw in a little round thing. As for coaches not getting on here but cosby. Ya right! Mike dont have to cause he gets full report from brother pujo. I get on here manly for the humor and i can't sleep. The reason so many take offense is due to the FACT you don't know us, Just as i don't know you all. Yet you all seem to know, or come across as knowing everything. People make their assumptions on what they read on here, not taking into consideration or understanding where they are coming from. They turn reasons into excuses. For example the REASON Hampton beat us was because their line was better than ours. Given that both lines were equal what would be the outcome then? Who knows and at this point who cares. lost all but one on the OL. TE got moved to full back because returning FB quit. one returning WR #5 the other starter now is the QB. that offense summed up. defense two returning DE one moved to LB because Starting LB quit. three returning DB's that sums up defense.

hey guys we are alive but barely. Man Claiborne Co. and GP beat us up pretty good. We were already very young, undersized, inexperianced, slow, and weak, but now beat and battered. i dont know if there is anything we can bring the bulldogs to feed on except some bones. sorry about that. i guess the main reason we dont have to many people on here is that all of them or their kids graduated or quit. could be that they are having internet problems or better yet find it awaste of time to post and a hoot to read. anyway take care Hampton see you friday. shelton

i know one man in Unicoi Co. and that is Jered Huskins. Pros to him being the new head coach youth, he bleeds blue, has seen the past 10 years of the program, passion for kids and football. Cons youth no head coach experiance. now with that all said. his most important job is selling himself and his style, next sell it to assistant coaches, then sell it to the players. when he does this success will come. you cant measure a man by what he has not done only by what he has. i was offered a head job at age 25. i was not ready so i declined the offer. he is ready or he would not have taken the burden of being the BOSS. so get behind him support him ask what you can do to help. trust me he will need help, but let him tell you what he needs not the other way around. he needs to do it his way. his job will be hard. get him what he needs and he will give you what you want and that is success. SUCCESS not WINS those come later. you have to build something before you move in. i have seeen may films over the past 4 years on unicoi. you have talent. you need numbers that will be dedicated, commited, and that will prepare. you get those three plus community supporting with pats on the back and financial funds and you will do well. jered knows what he is doing and he has a plan let him do his job. during the game we went up to luxury box to watch. a nice gift from a friend we also watched the 5a game there. during the 1a game we sat with some coaches from some school called SOUTH PITT. LOL! no lie it was cool to meet Vic and staff. great guys. i truly felt a little out of place. coach shelton

Good topic! not a great title! just made it a little harder to get those kids out. i have many ideas and thoughts about this issue and many others that surround our youth. i have an answer to the problem, but it will never happen. as for the clinics. u bet we are going to be there. you commented on player development. one point would be coaches development. the game has changed and is changing. i love the comment about HS programs trying to be college. take for intance a coaching clinic. when you see who is going to be there its all college coaches and most of the time their major college coaches. so i have to disect and modify anything i think is usefull. why not have clinics for high school coaches with high school coaches DUH!!!!! most the things i do i got from coaching friends, being observant, and making modifications/additions to thinngs. hint the names on some players jerseys and some having black facemack. you asked for a comment, here you go this team is the fastest, strongest, most well conditioned TEAM i have had or seen here at COSBY! why is that? NOVEMBER THRU AUGUST. here is your answer to the problem(s) this applies county wide in all aspects of sports, education, politics, economilcal development, and even church growth. THINK ABOUT SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF, AND WHATS BETTER FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUR FUTURE AND THE KIDS THAT WILL BE LIVING IN IT. TAKE A DRIVE TO GRAINGER COUNTY AND LOOK AT THAT SCHOOL. sure am curious what you all in hampton land are taking these days. i thought i would never come to the point where i had no respect for the hampton nation. Well Mr. Townsend I wish there was something i could say. i guess some times things dont go as you may wish or taken for what they were truly intended. there are so many things that you mentioned that i nor anyone on the staff had anything to do with. the only thing that we did was put your and lyons picture up. i myself did not do it. one of my assistants at the time had them put up. he is no longer with us. i did not see them until i came out to practice. could i have taken them down sure, but i myself did not see the harm in them. the intent was purly motivational and to maintain player focus. i hated that you were injured and you will never know how much. i am not on here to justify or make myself out to be a saint cause i am anything but that. you have your right to feel as you wish. i wish you the best as you continue your journey and may God Bless you and your family.
