Im sure he appreciates those sentiments but also know that credit should go where credit is due! The middle school and high school coaches do a fabulous job....they expect those girls to reach for a higher standard of character, committment, and work ethic....However they real accolades go to those girls.....they have bought in to what is going on in LC girls basketball and have stepped up to those higher standards! Remember the old saying "you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink"! Those girls have done what it takes! CONGRATS TO THEM! SBL

No TT and carnation and them didnt play the wings last weekend in dburg.....tt and them played munford and dyersburg and won both.....lake co 7th grade may have played them and got beat....i believe they were playin up! TT and them played that wings bunch last at substate for aau and beat them by 25 or so....also macy was only a freshman last year.....and she is an outstanding player! That team they play on is called 4-Evergreen! sbl

what about fans not liking the venue itself? To me the venue does not seem to be fan friendly! Seats are too far from the court.....too many media tables.....the seats that are close are reserved....which stinks....The atmosphere at the state tourney is nt very good either! Imagine a state tournament that was attended as well as region championship and in the same type of venue.....When we went to sectional tournaments several years ago attendance was way down....the venue wasnt very good! Atmosphere stunk as well! Anyway, dnt know the answer just some observations! sbl

Glad you came to this realization! You have only seen her play one game! Maybe the reason she had to take the game into her hands in the second half was her cast seemed to be missing at times! Her season stats are about as follows....15ppg 7 rebounds pg 7 assists pg 6 steals per game.... In the second half of each of the past three games before OS she took over and lead her team to victory in do or die games! Not just scoring but also setting others up to score.....She is young and still makes some freshmen mistakes but she has a tremendous work ethic....A B student, student government officer, very well liked by all teachers and students...She is the total package....I have on many occasions been told by her aau coach that she calls and tells him its time to practice even though it is actually a good time for a break....she wants no break! She also is the daughter of a former Mr Football candidate from LC....Also, when she is on the floor the rest of the teams intensity and abilities seem to be raised to another level....When she is not on the floor there is deifinitely a huge difference! She is the catalyst and leader of this team as a freshmen and lead her team to the state tourney! That in itself is a fantastic accomlishment! She has just raised the bar for herself and expectations are now higher than ever....and Takeyha "TT" Flowers is up to the challenge! sbl ps when you call a team undisciplined that is usually a shot at coaching and color!

Your single a bball IQ is not very good! 14a and clarkrange's distrcit are probably the 2 toughest in the state...Especially when you look at tradition....in our district resides Gleason and Bradford....as well as Trenton....seems like all these girls team have won multiple gold balls.....We have a very ultra competitive district that stacks up with yalls....like i said, KC was the most complete player on the floor, but Flowers was the most athletic with the most upside.....This is a freshman goofy.....that handled the big stage rather well! Did tremendous to lead her team here through 3 top 5 teams in a row....so give credit where credit is due...quit being a turd! Congrats to KC and OS on the win! sbl

Dang! Must have touched a nerve there! KC as a SENIOR is definitely the more complete basketball player. However, the player with more upside is the Flowers girl! So she scored half her points when they extended their defense....she scored the other half when OS was sagging! KC only scored half her points from the floor....if im not mistaken she scored the other half from the line. What difference does it make. The points TT scored late were not O by the way points....a steal here and another made basket or so there and its tied....LC lost the game bc of 3 things....1. missed easy shots bout 5 or six 2. missed defensive assingments 3. missed rebounds The Flowers girl came to play and did so on the biggest stage... KC was tryin to get hers but also was handled very well defensively by Kinney who did a fabulous job.....bet KC hadnt been guarded by someone as quick this bball season....In the single A games I saw no one as quick or talented as TT.....KC was the closest! Congrats to OS and GOOD LUCK! sbl

Dnt get me wrong .....i like our chances .....but a blowout i dnt see....this time of year the weaker sisters are usually at home! and i certainly dnt want the girls to go into this game overconfident! All that can be said is what a great run through the region tourney! Lake County starts 2 freshmen that have played beyond their grade level! The physicality of Humboldt and more so of Bradford was nullified by a determined HOPE ROSS who battled, fought and scrapped for every board and put back she got. Oliver and Tubbs pounded on her all night and she never backed down! Bradford played a tremendous game congrats to them for a great season. Hope to see them one more time this year! Also, Tarrida Abbott hit the free throws down the stretch to ice it! U deserve all region just for that! TT Flowers recieves region MVP award as a freshmen! Hopefully many more awards to come! Is she a possible future Miss Basketball nominee, maybe even winner! sbl
