if we go way back to when this old veteran was a Junior you can find another great classic (ONE OF A KIND) comeback 2001 (A) Temple at (AA) Tyner 1 min. and 30 sec. left in the game and Temple is down 12!!!! (at Tyner = an extremely "athletic" team) Temple's point guard Jeron Williams hits a double-pump, floating 3 pointer with two defenders flying at him as the buzzer sounds from the left wing to send it to overtime. this completed a 12 POINT COMEBACK IN 1 MIN. AND 30 SEC. ON THE ROAD. In overtime, Temple continued to dominate and did not let Tyner score in O.T. (while managing a 12 point overtime win)

Tough break for Giles Co. after beating Brentwood Academy (DII st. champs) TWICE by two points. Thats rough. I enjoyed seeing Smith play last year and I was looking forward to seeing him this year as I go support my boys @ Temple

As a nuetral fan coming into this game I would just like to say that you fans were AWSOME!! I'll admit I ended up cheering for them down the stretch (mainly b/c of how exciting you guys made it; plus Tyler Smith is unbelievable). WHAT A GAME! Congratulations!

Man, I watched all 3 games. & just let me tell you "WOW" what a game between giles & ridgeway!!!!! But there was one thing that I didn't understand. With 7 sec. left and only 4 team fouls WHY DIDNT THEY FOUL TWICE? I didn't understand that. I was hoping for overtime but I guess I'll settle for a buzzer beater. Again awsome game to both teams, it was a true championship game, its too bad that anybody had too lose. Also giles co. fans were AWSOME! GREAT GAME TO BOTH TEAMS!!! It was sooooo close to being a Repeat x3

There are six very good teams here. But the edge definately goes to the defending state champions in all 3 classes, b/c they have been there before and have the experience. Does any one know if that would be a first for TSSAA? I think it is but i don't know. [Edited by 10temp on 3-22-03 11:37A]

Well, all three of last years champions are back in the final game. A-Temple AA-Ridgeway AAA-White Station What are your thoughts? WILL ALL 3 REPEAT?? I think they all have a great chance, but I hope my Chattown friends at Bradley Central win tonight and pull the upset tomorrow. Temple by 13! (same as last year ) There back for more and I believe they will get more. Temple will be 69-5 in the past 2 years & will REPEAT as STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!

14111111, & TheAnswer9, I agree completely what you both said about fatchance, and I'm still cracking up that was hilarious and very true at the same time. As for the game, I (like many others) will be skipping college and work to go see this game. I feel like everyone one else that it is a shame that they have to meet in the 1st round, but thats just the breaks. I feel that if Temple plays the DEFENSE that they know how to play then they will come out with the win. Also if it boils down to the final minute(which is what everyone is expecting including myself) then I feel that Temple will have the upper hand b/c they have pulled out the close games the past 2 yrs. GO TEMPLE!!! ALL THE WAY BABY
