Toppers have some good athletes, and a potential to strike quick. I did not understand their game plan against DB. I expected them to pass more Their speed is good, but somewhat misguided. IMO the match-up between OR and the Toppers is horrible. The Toppers run defense is limited at best, and every body knows that OR dominates in running the ball. This game will be ugly, if OR wan'ts it to be. Good Luck to both, hoping it is an injury free game. You gotta Love this sport

I understand he is just trying to dog the DB Nation, and thats alright with me. I just wish it was from a smarter jerk. I have been reading threads on this site for two years: to date none of his post have contributed to a sensible conversation. Some people get their jollies out of life by being a jerk; I guess everybody has to be something!! You have to be one of the most bitter people I have ever encountered. Why don't you get a life and look for something positive. My DAD always said "You cain't help if some people think your stupid, just don't open your mouth and prove them right. Maybe you can use those wise words; I'm sorry its too late. Evidently you are attempting to keep the rivalry alive, wake up, your efforts are a waste of time. Try sticking to college and pro sports, maybe that will prevent you from ruining adolescent lives before they have a chance to enjoy the best years of their life!!

OR better have extra cleats for Gulmire Friday knight. His will be worn out by the first half; I think cleats are only good for about 500 yards! OR will win big against a team with limited defense against the run!! Roll Cats Roll Tribe

I am constantly amazed by some of the moronic statements made on this site. If you watched the WB game, and have at least a nominal understanding of the sport you would understand the concept "game of your life". That is what the WB quarterback had. That young person played his heart out, and had great success. That is what the playoffs are about. It took the DB defence 3 3/4 quarters to put that young man down; too late to make a difference. A serious injury prevented him from playing the next game, and the rest is history. Surely people have better things to do than down a group of young people, doing the best they can, while playing the greatest sport in the world. The road to a 5A championship is rough, at best. If you fall short you console your seniors, and rally around the remaining players, preparing for the future. Thats the great thing about football; every August a new journey starts. Some people like to dwell in the past instead of embracing the future??!!

I am glad to here Steven is doing well. He is a good kid and has a great family to support him. I truly believe that DB would be turning a few more heads if he was still in Kingsport!! Tell Steven the players really miss him on the field and off!! I allmost forgot to keep this thread on topic. If Steven was in Kingsport the Kingsport Times would not correctly report his efforts.

This is my first post, I am typically a reader not a poster, but this is an important issue. I have one child playing at DB and one in college. It is my belief that the Kingsport Times is embarrased by the kids in Kingsport. I realize Kingsport is on the edge of several rural areas and the paper is trying to increase their market, but the Kingsport area kids work hard and they deserve to have their efforts recognized. If, and when the Kingsport Times covers an event it is usually incorrect. I am proud to say We Do Not and Will Not subscribe to this paper until something changes. I am very thankful for Coach T and Tricitiesports.com for the coverage!!
