  1. thats an odd comment comin from someone who whines as much as you, ha hah hah
  2. clints to worried about x's and o's, it really is sad
  3. this is an absolute travesty, work hard all year, beat the breaks off every body you play, go undefeated, win state, get snubbed, don king was right "only in america" :justwrestle:
  4. the guy had 291 attempts that season(not counting the last one) that's 29.1 carries a game. i believe he had an adequete amount of "chances", and how in the world do you compare RUDY to a guy that had 292 touches in one season!!!!! thats like comparing a moped and formula one car, RUDY ............i really hope that was a joke that i didn't get.
  5. i don't see how any true sportsfan can condone such a classless act. that sure shows alot of respect to the poor guy that set that record long ago. if i had been the opposing coach i would have told my defense to stay on the sideline. hey maybe they should give the previous record holder another touch and see if he can retain his rightful title, i mean thats only fair isn't it(?), the pretender to that title got an extra touch, only seams fair to me. this classicly shows how, nowadays, personnal accolades are more important than the integrity of the game. do you think lambardi, or landrey, or parcells, or ditka would pull some kind of self serving BS like that?(and make no mistake the whole thing is COMPLETELY self serving) of course they wouldn't. in a just world, that other team would have got the onside kick, scored, converted 2, and won. personally if i were on that defense they would have had to physically remove me from the field. let a team score on a 73 yrd run? i'd rather watch my mom get beat up, than LET someone score on me or my Defense. have they no dignity, have they no heart, the whole fiasco shows a complete lack of integrity to anyone and everyone involved with that program.
  6. your thinking with your heart instead of your head. coalfield was, at best, an average team. they got in the playoffs without having to play any of the top teams to get there, and most teams that got beat in the playoffs could have beat them(S.P., FCS, G-VILLE)plus they really didn't have to play really, really good teams in the playoff games they won. personnally i think ten is well suited for the season they had, im not saying that they had a bad year , im just sayin alot of other teams had better years. essentialy it comes down to the fact that while they may be in the top two or three in the east, there are enough better teams in middle(mainly) and west tennessee so that they would fall at about ten when it's all said and done. Personally, i think that just classifying the teams based on ending points in the playoffs is quite erroneous in it's self(you have to take in to account WHO they played WHO they beat and so on), take FCS for example, clearly the #2 team in the state(no disrespect to UC) they play better ball week in and week out, it's just that they had to play better teams. If coalfield had played in a tougher region they may not have even made it to the playoffs and if they had played tougher teams in the playoffs their season would have ended earlier. i think ten is fitting.this is just personnel opinion don't crucify me
  7. hands down the best post iv seen all year! fcs will continue in their roll of "whipping dog" for at least, 6 years. gordonsville couldn't beat us even if trousdale forfieted, i think g-ville would find a way to lose in that situation. S.P. seems to be in down years, who knows when they'll put a championship team together again. yes i'd say five yrs is a good prediction, but six, would just be cocky!!!!
  8. Next year i heard clint's gonna take it up a few notches. Now this all just hearsay so don't take this as fact but the schedule is shaping up like this 1st spring scrimmage: Maryville (AWAY) 2nd spring scrimmage: Oak Ridge:(CREEK BANK) 1st fall scrimmage : Ravenwood (AWAY) 2nd fall scrimmage: MBA (AWAY) Jamboree: Permian, TX (CREEK BANK) week 1: Melrose,Memphis (AWAY) week 2: Monterey (CREEK BANK) week 3: Lakeland, FLA (AWAY) week 4: Watertown (CREEK BANK) week 5: Gordonsville (AWAY) week 6: Celina (CREEK BANK) week 7: Mission Veijo, CA (AWAY) week 8: FCS (AWAY) week 9: RBS (CREEK BANK) week 10: ALCOA (CREEKBANK) HC!!!! my prediction as follows... week 1 ;we'll have a little trouble but i think the off season scrimmages will have them well prepared. Final score; TC 27- MM 9 ("diaperdandy" shows out scores 3 TD's, 267 yrds rushing, 134 yrds rec, 24 solo tackles, he's a PTP"er, BABY!! week 2: it's a gimme, jackets 2-0 week 3: jackets lose in double OT 20-21 (i blame jet lag, and the fact that lakeland was the #1 team in the nation in '05) week 4: get out of town, it's a gimme, jackets 3-1 week 5: jackets roll, 4W-1L week 6: how bout them Jackets 5W- 1L week 7: probably the greatest high school football game ever played, EVER. Jackets win 63-56 in a 4th qtr, 28 point comeback!!!!!!!!!! week 8: jackets face only competition in region, TC 41-FCS 38 week 9: week 10: HOMECOMING it's finally here, the champagne flows as TC upsets alcoa, final score TC 9- Alcoa 7 final record fo TC 9-1......................not what we hoped for but fair, we'll probably have several individuals looked over in the Mr. Football race too,and you know we'll walk to another gold ball IRON MAN football is the key.
  9. "JEALOUSY- that jumble of secret worship and ostensible aversion" -Emile C. CIoran- hey man i just answered the question. so who'd you play for big guy?
  10. "Now is not the end, it is not even the beginning of the end. But, perhaps, the end of the beginning" -Winstin Churchill- "It's a curious sensation: the sort of pain that goes mercifully beyond our powers of feeling. When your heart is broken, your bidges burned: nothing matters anymore. It is the END of HAPPINESS and the beginning of DREADED PEACE" -George Bernard Shaw- "He makes a swan-like ending, fading in music" -William Shakespeare-
  11. clints a mad man when it comes to conditioning, thats been one of our intangibles for years, the running alone scares away a lot of people, also, it's clints way are the highway, that can be avery good thing at times, and it can be very, very, stupid thing at times, and yeah i could't play my soph year until i had 3 toes cut off, it dropped my forty by, 0.16, but i still had 6 toes on each foot, i had great balance though
  12. TROUSDALE COUNTY; 1996 -1999 seasons(not cleared medically in 1997 missed a ring, thats okay, didn' won't one handed to me)two year starter, C, DE, 6'0 189lbs, 1 ring, never lost a region game(4 yrs) never lost to westmoreland(six years counting jr. high, only class in TC history to pull that off) posted a final record of 54W-4L in 4yrs(another TC record), best memory's, interception returned(87 yrds, untouched) against CPA as they were driving and about to tie us @ home, last game ever at the creek bank, CPA had been picked to beat us all year, pack was the coach that year, they ran an unbalanced line by bringing their tackle over and the strong side was, C, G, T, T, TE, they still couldn't put one in against me and my cousin we were like rocks that night . also the fact that we played 3 out of state powerhouses so that we could fill our schedule in 99, mulenberg south, KY, Mayfield, KY, anf Hazelwood, ALA. Also for the people that don't like clint, i threw my helmet at him at practice one day, i wasn't allowed to ride witH the team and i wasn't even allowed on the sideline, i missed 3 games because of that and still made all region, YEAH BABY
