  1. theanswer9, ha ha!! I like you man... You always have Temple's back and you seem to know your basketball stuff really well! Even though you are not a part of the Temple program we appreciate your support and the input you give(or at least I do). And for that I will give you a good mark.
  2. I know last year at Temple, we used to get so pumped when we would jam out to any 3six mafia and also vice-versa by Pastor Troy. Now Temple doesn't allow that kinda music to warm up to, but in the parking lot and the locker room we would always get crunk to that stuff.
  3. All I can say is that the refs were absolutely awful-Temple got hosed over and over again-and yes the foul was intentional as were the other two fouls on Skogen especially when he was going to throw down and the guy tackled him out of bounds-Props to Caleb skogen the kid was ballin and held the team in the game single handedly for about 4 min-the kid can ball!!!
  4. Way to go dogs-keep up the good work-get me in when you go to state-
  5. hey jumparound, How long have you been watching these teams. In the last 4 years CCS and Temple have beaten each other 4 times a piece. That means in the last 4 years these two teams have met 8 times and are tied. Plus dont forget when Temple beat CCS for homecoming two years in a row in the '96-'97 and the '97-'98 seasons. Granted, CCS won the region in '98 off Phil Jacob's last second shot, but I would hardly call that domination. [Edited by jonbon20 on 1-21-03 6:36P]
  6. Well, first off I think that Temple has a better team this year. But, during Holwerdas Senior year, two years ago, CCS had a much better team and Temple still took them into overtime. When these two teams play, there can be no prediction. Because I've watched these two teams battle it out over the last several years and every year it is a great game. No matter who has who, and how much better one team is than the other, this matchup always guarentees a great game. So for my prediction, well I think it is very possible that CCS could win. I guess it will just come down to who wants it more and who will rise the occassion.
  7. In my opinion here are some characteristics of a good coach!! -At all times he/she must appear as an authority figure and not an "I want to be your buddy" figure. -He/she must be confident in his decision making. -Team rules apply for ALL players, and are not bent for a better player. -Attitude reflects leadership!!!!! -He/She must teach character and integrity at all times(Whether winning or losing). -And lastly, he/she must have an ultimate goal of wanting to help the players whether it be on or off the court.
  8. supersteve17, I will be moving to Rome, GA. and attending Berry College. No I will not be playing basketball. As fun as it would be to continue playing, some of us just weren't cut out to play college ball. I might have been able to red shirt my first year, but I am not so sure that I want to start all over at the bottom and work my way up. Anyways, thanx for the props man. It was much appreciated! And by the way....do I know you?
  9. kubialkahn, First of all, shut your trap!! If we want to talk about Mr. Basketball we can. That is what makes America great. We can talk about what we want to talk about, when we want to talk about it. Second of all, I only started this thread so I could educate myself on other players to look for when the season starts. In a couple weeks I wont be living in Tennesse anymore; but when I do come back to visit, I want to check out some players. I was only wondering what other players are out there and "could be" eligible for Mr. Basketball. No one is writing anything in stone or calling anyone a "front runner". Its just discussion about some good players. [Edited by jonbon20 on 8-12-02 3:16P]
  10. I agree.....I dont think Chris Graham has a shot against Skogen!!
  11. I am going to say Jake and Ryan from Tenn. Temple are a great duo. They will average about 50 of Temple's points next year. And they can play "D" like no one else. Especially Ryan!!!
  12. I just wanted to get some opionions on who could be up for Mr. Basketball in Class A next year.
  13. What about Ryan Wadley from Temple? This kid can handle the ball and shoot the lights out. With Jeron Williams leaving he will have to take the pt. guard position and still shoot as much, if not more, than he did last year. He can create and pull up in your face and has a nice set shot as well. Just a little side note: this guy has some of the best defense in the state and he is tougher than nails. He and Jake will run the show next year so look for him to put in about 20+ per game.
