I think Forrest is too tough at home for VB I take the Rockets by 15 I think Eagleville by 30 against Boyd. The Community Versus Cascade will be the game of the night in 9a by far. If we had not already played Eagleville close and opened some eyes I think we might have went in thier and got a suprise win. However since I know Charlie is a fine coach and He and Mike are good friends I think the suprise factor is out the window. I think this will be a close match-up throughout and if Stallings can stay out of foul trouble I think the Vikings have a chance. I am going to pick with my heart as well (which is always the wrong thing to do but I am a fan) I take the Vikings by 2. I also think this could be a game that could cause some hushes in our stands. If the Vikings can compete with Cascade starting 2 Freshman 2 Sophomores and a Junior I think anyone with any kind of basketball knowledge would have to say that we are headed in the right direction. On a side note: I thought the Vikings looked very good last night against Boyd. The Freshman played well and D. White played a great game.

I know about all the Edmonson years. I had a brother who started on the 89 team with Yoes, Harrison, Blackburn and Reeeves. I do also know that in 99 he took another team to the sub-state after beating the defending state champs (perry County) in the region tournament and on that team there was not a player that was over 6'1. I know also that in the next year we were beat by two points in the region by another team that went to state. Then I know about the talent that has been now for some years but is now looking up again. I will say there is not many people in the Unionville area that has been to more ballgames than I have and I will stand up and say that Mike has done and is doing a great job. This team this year will win a lot of games and in the next two years have a chance to do some special things.

Refuge I totally disagree. The team is doing fine. What difference does it make who starts? Each kid that normally plays got to play. If the team implodes it will be because parents are forming a group to try and get the coach. This means these kids go home and hear thier parents bash the coach and then go and try to play for him. Just imagine what is going through the kids mind. Coach has been there close to 20 years and he is going to put the best 5 on the floor regardless of who they are and for that I salute him.

The Vikings lose by 11 tonight but were within 5 late in the game. I tell you the Vikings are much improved and will be in a lot of games. Starting 2 Freshman 2 Sphomores and a Junior the Vikings can only get better. Great Job Coach Edmonson you have the ship headed in the right direction.

The much improved Vikings hot Eagleville tonight at Unionville. I will give you my prediction and then listen to others. I have the Vikings by 5.

My beloved Queens open up the district tonight with a game versus the Lady Eagles. I think the Queens should be able to pick a W in this one. I will say the gym shuold be full tonight with a new exitment for both our community teams.

Enough with the Edmonson bashing. The guy can coach. I agree with the previous post that he cant help injury and tranfers. BTW his child plays because he deserves to play. Keep it up guys

I do not think they are in the top 10 but I will say Santa Fe needs to be mentioned. They have 3 big post players that can play and there guard play is much improved from last year. They are my pick to win thier district.

I do not know if he lost his library card and cant use the internet at the library or if he is still crying over the Cornersville loss in the district tourney last year. Either way the mob is MIA!

I agree Santa Fe is down but we have been down for a few years so any 20 point win is nice for the purple and Gold. I do understand the concerns for the substitutions but just think how many of these guys are getting court time. This team is going to be good and soon

The Vikings did look very good at Santa Fe. We are still very young but the future is bright for the Vikings. BTW Coach Ed is doing a great job! I think the lefty you are speaking of is D. White he is a great shooter and has already hit some big shots this year

I do not blame LK we were bad. But I do think once he saw he could get to 100 he made a solid effort to reach it.

I think 9a will not be such a cake walk this year. Watch out for my beloved Queens!!!

We do not play this year. I think that is because MC boys ran the score up on us last season to get to 100. Therefore the only way we could meet would be in Sub-State

Well it is that time of year again and let me be the first to say it could not get here soon enough. My Queens hit the floor Tuesday and I know that are much improved from last year and some say the should compete for the district. However I do understand that Forrest is in our district but here is the queistion for the Lady Rockets. Can they handle being the hunted and not the hunter? BTW as usual I give my state champ picks, last year I went a big 0-3 Last years picks! A. Clarkrange AA. Lorreto AAA. Shelbyville This year A. Summertown AA. (That pick comes later) AAA. You just tell me where to be and I will come and look at the gold.!!!!!!!! I am not sure about all classes yet but I would say Summertown and Forrest are going to be good in Single A. BTW You mean you never won a gold ball back when you played for the rockets in the late 70's in the blue barn?

At the beginning of the year I made my picks for the state winners and they were A. Clarkrange AA. Loretto AAA. Shelbyville Well I went 0-3 but at least Shelbyville was in the tourney no one else even made it to state but I will return for my picks next season I want to give a big shout out to the lady Rockets from Chapel Hill. Coach you and your ladies did a great job and what a huge win for the whole sports program at Forrest. It was pleasure to get to speak to you all at the FCA banquet at Community and I hope you all continue to do well in the coming years. Who knew my beloved queens were in the toughest district in the state

Well I was totally unbiased in this game I tell you it was two heavyweights going at it. No doubt both these teams will both be in the State Tournament. I was impressed with Siegal's student section. Except for a few vulgar gestures but they do bring some atmosphere. This was a great game.

WOW! good win for the Lady Raiders. Just think all those hammers in 12A and after tonight if Moore County beats Perry County there will only be one hammer left and three from 11A. That just goes to show that come tourney time who knows what is going to happen. I will say this and I have said it for a long time. Coach Landers is by far the best coach in the District and even though it will be tough to beat Richland again I still have to give the edge to Cornersville based on coaching. Either way this one turns out it has still been a great showing for 11A. I would like to see Moore County come through that tough bracket and it be an all 11A final. Good luck to the Raiders and the lady dogs good job by both teams.

great post, However Forrest has hosted a sub-state game before. I am pretty sure it was 95 and they beat Collinwood to go to state and lost to Wayne County in the first round.
