  1. Yeah. I think we showed that we were more than ready for all of that tonight. Those teams were alot more evenly matched than you guys gave us credit for. But on that note....Good Luck on the rest of your season and go get that Gold Ball.
  2. Domination? I think we all know that you weren't there to watch this game. There was no domination in this game. There were however two equally matched teams out there on the field. Camden missed an extra point and then had to try to make up on two point conversions. They also had a couple of costly turnovers. That is where you usually lose these close ball games. I am proud of My Lions. They showed all the heart in the world and made alot of people on here eat a couple of heaping helpings of crow. These boys left it all on the field and for that the Camden faithful should be forever proud. I think we earned GP and alot of others respect tonight. Good luck Cougars for the rest of your season. Take the Gold Ball home. It might make tonight a little easier to swallow to lose to the champs. To all you senior Lions, Be Very Proud of the effort that you gave tonight. You boys deserve the respect of everyone in that stadium tonight. With a graduating senior myself, that was a hard ending to watch too, but boys you have NOTHING to hang your head about. #46 Your mom and I are so very proud of you! Great effort to all the Lions and next season starts right now. We know that you will make us proud as always next year Lions. And just like always, We will STAND UP AND SHOW OUR LION PRIDE!
  3. Just wanted to give a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to #40 Chase "Moose" Horton on being Camden's first Mr. Football nominee. Good luck Friday Night to the Lions and to all of the Black and Gold Faithful...."STAND UP AND SHOW YOUR LION PRIDE!"
  4. Nope. Thats about all we do. Fullback up the middle. Fullback off tackle. That's basically all. Just watch for him. I am kidding of course but I think it would be hard to stop him even if we did.
  5. Well if your post is so much about 1a football then why are you mentioning the Stangs so much? They are not in 1a so according to your logic they mean nothing to your season. But you guys really have no problem talking about them. I am an alma matter of the Big Red Tigers of Lexington but my step son starts for the mighty Camden Lions. So I will be out showing my lion pride but I am always a Big Red Tiger at heart. Whoops. I guess I wasn't supposed to mention that since it wasn't about 1a football. Point me to the nearest corner so I can be punished.
  6. Well even though I do hope that Trenton wins the game handily, take this bit of advice. Contain Kendal Harper! If you can do that, you can have a chance. When we played them in Week 1 we figured that out in the 2nd half and that's when the lions turned it around and took a win home to Camden. With that said, I will say that Trenton will win this game. Sorry Rebels, but you guys talk like you just won the Super Bowl because you beat Bruceton. I hope for a clean, injury free game. Trenton 35 McKenzie 14
  7. Advantage of speed? Maybe you haven't seen our Williams...Leon Williams. He has moves that Playstation can't come up with. All in all it will be a good game and I think we will be pretty evenly matched. I would have liked to have had Milan at full strength will their starting QB but we will still take it. I am going to take Camden in a close one and maybe for once this great bunch of boys can get the respect that they deserve. (Huntingdon #3 in the state and Camden #4, are you kidding me?) Camden 28 Milan 24
  8. Well I guess I have to step in and take up for the others a bit(not that I am a Huntingdon fan at all). If McKenzie was so big and bad, then what happened in the jamboree. Before you start with the "it was only a jamboree game" talk, let me stop you. You guys couldn't manage one single point against Camden's first string boys. You guys ran all over Bruceton and that is fine, but you aren't the class of this area. Everyone knew going in that Bruceton was one dimensional. If you key on the one player that runs the ball 9 out of 10 times then you have a pretty good shot. And by the way, I would key on Kendal Harper next week. He will be elusive. So you guys may be at the tops of the "Carroll County Invitational" but don't go crowning yourselves best team of the area just yet.
  9. Ok. You say they didn't see all of the offense because one player didn't play. You ha d 5, count em, 1,2,3,4,5 turnovers. Is that one back gonna keep that from happening? I severly doubt it. Camden's defense has shutdown everyone they have played including two perinnial playoff teams in Westview and Huntingdon. They two of them combined managed 13 points. I know that Huntingdon is down this year but I believe that are still a few rungs up the ladder from Waverly. I have been to all of the Lions game this year and these boys are for real. The only other defense that you have seen thats in the same league as Camden's is Lewis Co's and you laid a goose egg against them. Not that I am partial or anything but I think that Camden's is a little better. So I wonder what you can do against them? I will give you a little credit though because the 2nd and 3rd string defenses have been scored on a few and I do mean just a few times this year. I say Lions 35 Waverly 7. Bottom Line: You Can't Win If You Don't Score and Waverly has shown little ability to do that!
  10. Good luck to the Lions from TigerTown! These boys want and most of them have already been there since they have been playing since they were sophmores. Lions by 10!
  11. Here we go. Big city school vs. the group of dumb rednecks. I think they might be afraid we will bring hunting dogs and our toothless Uncle Eddie to the game. I think that they might actually be suprised when they find out that we actually do know how to play football. Yes DL fans here's the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT, SOMEONE OUTSIDE OF YOUR SCHOOL DOES KNOW HOW TO PLAY FOOTBALL! I know that is probably a shock for some of you who probably couldn't find Lexington on the map so I'll give you a minute............Ok. Now for my next point. You guys up there do have one thing this year that we don't, A 1 in the Loss Column. Congratulations on that. Get ready for a game because we are going to bring one. GO BIG RED MACHINE!!!!
  12. Well oh knowledgeable one, maybe you need to go back and check your stats on the games that the Tigers have passed the ball this year. If you will look on the year we completed nearly 80 percent of our passes for the year and had one 20-24 game for 250+ passing yards. We don't pass that often because we don't have to with the backfield that we have. When we need to, we do it and do it pretty good. But just go ahead and keep thinking that we can't throw the ball. I am not gonna be like some of the DL fans and say we are going to dominate in any way. I am going with The Big Red Tigers by a FG. GO BIG RED MACHINE!
  13. Boy I be that took alot out of you to actually say congrats to us. That was a hard fought game last night. Lexington did go away alot from some of their bigger plays that have worked so well and just played smash mouth style in the second half. Creekwood did have a very good team and congrats on a wonderful season for such a new team. Those congrats go to all of their players except for the lineman who felt the need to slap one of Lexington's players in the helmet after a play at the end of the game. The play only cost them a 15 yd. personal foul but the kid should have been ejected. That was a cheap shot plain and simple. To him, you disgraced your team. But to the rest of that team, hold your head up. You played a great game and gave Lexington all that they wanted last night. Now its on to Lipscomb. Go ahead all you Lipscomb fans. Tell us how bad you are gonna beat us. Get us fired up some more. We will make you make mistakes and that is how we will win. Just ask MC and CW. GO TIGERS!
  14. That is no where near true. We don't have a hawk. This will be an good game with two teams that match up pretty good from what I can tell. We as Tiger fans are not "cocky", we are just proud of our team and get tired of you guys coming up with all the excuses of why we won't win. Region 6 is weak....We'll call TSSAA tomorrow and see if they can straighten that situation out. Who would they have to put in there to make you guys happy? Lexington's playoff runs have ended early....We'll let our players know they aren't supposed to be here and doing this. Lexington's non-Region schedule is weak.....Well every team that we played non region was in the playoffs but maybe we can get a call into Fulmer and the Vols and see if they want to be on our non-Region schedule next year. Maybe they won't be so bad next year because I would hate for that to be another excuse. Lexington just plays teams from their area, they don't go to Memphis.....We'll call Sheffield and find out where they went because they must have moved. Lexington has had some bad playoff appearances in the past few years. But this isn't the last few years. Again I say this will be a close game and these two teams will be pretty evenly matched. This will be the best team Lexington has played outside of probably Hardin Co. which was a 4a playoff team that nearly upset a powerhouse team in Memphis East last week. May there be no injuries on either side of the field for this game. This will be a close one but I am going with the Tigers 31-27.
  15. I do remember you saying something about Lexington vs. MC being some sort of track meet that evidently MC forgot to show up to. Do you know how tired of hearing about the mighty region 5 we all are (and not just the big red fans, everybody). Every post you make about us has something to do with the past and how the past years playoffs went. I tell you what, after this week you can sit at home and watch tapes from all those past years because you will have alot of free time on your hands. Maybe you and catfish can get together because we are all tired of your all high and mighty middle tn attitude. Bring it to the jungle, we'll send you home with and nice second round exit. And by the way, with all of your smack that you want to talk, are you even coming to the game? I would bet not. Willing to talk smack all week but can't make the drive to support your team. Typical.
  16. Yeah it was a track meet alright. It was just a one sided track meet. And you know what, keep your respect. We don't need it from you. I'll give MC their props though because they do have a good team. The Big Red Tigers just needed a few series to get their bearings and then they pretty much shut down that high powered offense. All I can say to you Bulldog about your little "track meet..close game theory" is.....62-28....Put that in your pipe and smoke it. And those legs will be plenty fresh for next week. And how did you get what you wanted? The Big Red Tigers won a not so close "track meet". You think they are gonna be tired after that. Why don't you come on down to the jungle and visit us down here in TigerTown next week and you can witness it for yourself? BIG RED MACHINE ROLLS ON!
  17. I just got one thing to say to you there dog, PUT THE PIPE DOWN. If you think they will just run all over TigerTown you have got another thing coming this year. Lexington has played some tough teams. We have proved everyone wrong all year long. We were only picked to finish 4th in our own Region. And here we are almost 12 weeks later and oh what's that...a 10-0 finish and we dominated those other teams that were supposed to beat us. Its about respect this year. Its about the respect that we don't get from all you Middle TN "out stuff don't stink" schools. Just come down here, watch the game and then you can tuck and run back to Marshall Co. with them and get ready to listen to Round 2 from the house.
  18. The thoughts and prayers of the Lexington Big Red Tigers are with you through this ordeal. Good luck on a speedy recovery for both of these young men.
  19. That is true. They aren't the same team and neither is Lexington. As good as Cedric Fields was last year, you got arguably the best backfield in West Tennessee this year and must to the suprise of alot of folks we have a quarterback who can throw the ball. 20 for 24 for 246. We are coming to stay in the playoffs this year!
  20. How can it be anyone but Kevis Buckley? 10.9 yards per carry. First down machine. Just hand him the ball and watch him work. He is absolutely amazing. Enough said!
  21. Haven't played anybody? We were picked to finish 4th in our region and Liberty was supposed to be 1st. We handed them theirs and we have continued to do it all season long. The game vs. Hardin Co. was really good for the team because it showed that they have the heart to never quit no matter what. This team is for real and we will show up big come playoff time.
