No Pageman, I'm going to go see my niece play tonight at Lipscomb. I've had to miss a few games with high schood ball but now that our season is over she's my top priority. Have fun at the game and I look forward to seeing your post tomorrow. Best of luck to all the Lady Mustangs!

The majority of us who know Anne Marie and her family aren't envious. We're just happy that Anne Marie is doing so well and that she and her family are happy. She's a wonderful young lady with a bright future. It's my understanding that Lauran could possibly see some playing time tonight. As for her going to Riverdale next season, anything is possible. She would be an asset to any team.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Krystal for a few years. She's an extremely talented player and will go on to play college ball. She's a great person and I wish her all the best.

I'm not related to Anne Marie or Jana. I do however think the world of both of these young ladies. They are both very talented players who will play at the college level. They're well grounded individuals on and off the court. Neither girl has to be put down to build up another. They each stand on their own merits.

There could be a good team here but changes will have to be made by players and coaches to get there. Discipline and dedication are major factors to the success of any team. You can't have players not show up to games just because something better is going on that day. Lawrence Co. had to begin District tournament play against a tough Shelbyville team with only nine players on Saturday. Only a few of them were the starters during the season. They finally had a couple show up after the game was underway but still played with only one sub. I commend the girls who walked out on the field and played the game. It's my opinion, and only my opinion, that the coach needs to be a little tougher on this team. If you set a punishment, follow through with it no matter how much it hurts. Keep working on fundamentals and conditioning. If a player doesn't want to work send them home. To all those who want to play and want to improve, try not to get discouraged. I'd rather walk on the field with nine players who want to be there and want to work than to have a team of 15-20 players who just show up.

The consolation game is played at 6:00 with the championship game at 7:30. My prediction is Giles Co. will play at 7:30. Region tournament should begin on Monday, March 1st but I don't know that for sure or where it's being played.

Welcome to the site. Giles Co. will play Fairview tonight at 6:00 at Loretto High School. They will play again on Friday also at Loretto.

I was told last night that the seating capacity had been checked and the gym was good to go. It's my understanding that four games will be played Monday night with two games being played Tuesday-Friday. Girls games only on Tuesday, Thursday with the guys playing Wednesday, Friday. I've got no problem with the TSSAA or anyone else measuring the gym. I honestly can't tell you what the seating capacity is. I'll stay home or I'll travel. No matter what, I'll cheer for my kid, eat some popcorn, enjoy the games, and enjoy the ride home, long or short.

I didn't know that having a prayer of winning anything was a prerequisite to hosting the tournament. If so, that would definitely narrow the field for teams in A, AA, and AAA. As far as the home court advantage, I think most teams will tell you they hope they have it when they're playing at home. The way games have been called this year, it's a toss up.

3Balla, I would like to see this game played but not at the expense of anyone possibly getting hurt due to hazardous road conditions. I know the roads in Loretto were clear but many roads coming from Marshall County were not. It's better to be safe than sorry. I've attended enough funerals of kids I know due to car accidents. I'm 100% sure the Marshall Co. coaches and principal aren't controlling the weather. I believe God still has that under control.

Just got a call from booster club VP. This game has been cancelled once again due to weather. Game has been rescheduled for Thursday 19th.
