  1. Yeah, Eddie's my dad. He prolly hasnt picked up a bat in about 10yrs. He sticks to golf and a little fishing. He hits the golf ball like he did a softball. Dad is definately much easier goin than Gary was. I learned alot from those two about how to play the game the right way and they were definately 2 of the better players of their time. What happened to me? Everybody in the family can hit it a mile, including a close pro-playing cousin. You'd think I woulda learned something over the years /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  2. Thank you. Gary passed away in March he had been pretty sick. Im sure you did see me @ the park. I dont think I missed many of my dads games. From Linsdale, to Etowah Express, to Graphics and Olin. Ive seen em all. I dont hit quite as good as they do, I hit more for avg /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> I just wish I was half the player either one of those 2 were. As for the raise, wishful thinking. That old man has so much money, he doesn't have a clue what to do with it all....
  3. You got the name right, but I work for the lovely Coca Cola. My dad works @ Olin, and my uncle did til he passed away last March.
  4. Yes sir, Mr 89. You, my friend are on the good list... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> And dont worry, the balls and strikes will definately be called. I just wish I was good enough to still play /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Yes we have ran that offense forever, but I guess as long as it works we'll keep running it. I would like to see sum shotgun, but that's just me. So when are the Tigers gonna fire Tubs? I know there has to be alot of unhappy folks on the Plains. Who knows who we'll get up on the hill. Good luck tomorrow night...
  5. Enamored with Central's success? Um... not really. I just enjoy reading you're idiotic posts. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> You are right about last year's game. It was an upset. As far as the balance of power shifting, 2 wins doesnt mean anything.
  6. You really are as dumb as you sound. 16-0, yeah that was really a beating. As for whippin up on Polk AGAIN, that's kinda funny. What is that, 2 out of 10 that Central has won in the series. And if you consider last yrs game a whipping, 42-41, you really are crazy. Most of the Central people I know are good people, havent met many bad ones to tell you the truth. Too bad you have a select few who have no clue what they are talking about. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  7. 89... Shine the dome up. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Good luck to ur Baby Blues this Friday. Sounds like their QB is the real deal. It would be great if a couple of Region 3 teams could pull off a win. Howard look to have a good shot. Polk plays Station Camp, and from what I hear, they run the Wing T. Polk should be able to defend that since they see it everyday in practice. That goes both ways though. If ur QB does some roll out and keeps it a few times, Central should be ok. Just get ur kicker across the 50 and you should be fine...lol He is impressive. Anyway, good luck to all of Region 3. Would be nice to see a couple of em win for a change. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  8. This should answer your question... Polk lost 2 games this year. Lost to Howard, Region 3-3A Champ, 28-26. Polk scored with just under a minute left and the 2 pt conversion was stopped short. Howard's only loss was to one of their big rivals, Tyner. Other loss was to McMinn Central, Region 3-3A runner up, 16-0. Pouring down rain affected both teams as Polk could get no offense going and if Im not mistaken McMinn Central ended up with around 250 yds. Both defenses played very well in this game. McMinn Central's only loss was to Howard. The Polk-Howard game could have went either way. Both Howard and McMinn Central are 9-1. As stated, Polk does have a very classy coach and they travel very well. Im sure the White House faithful would agree. He does a very good job of having his defense in position. Hopefully it will be a good game with no injuries to either team.
  9. The 30 degree weather didnt bother, but that rain stunk /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I thought I saw you up there tryin to fix that mop of urs. Hopefully next time it will be dry. I'll take a raincheck on that chilli, hopefully in round 2!
  10. Its very possible. Polk and Central must both win first round games. If that happens, they would meet in the 2nd round @ Central. Hopefully in much better weather this time.
  11. Haha... not yet. I deserve it though. I think I ended up umping like 500 games this summer. Im gonna have to give Mr Blevins some lessons though. I'll look ya up if Im able to make it up tonight. Be careful and hopefully nobody gets hurt.
  12. Shocker that Mr. WreckingCrew would have something to say. Nothing suprises me on here though...LOL Hey 89charger, you can buy me a bowl of chilli tonight. You dont mind helping a former teamate out now do ya?!?!?
  13. I never said I would stay home. I'll be there pulling for the Wildcats. Hopefully they win. I agree that the winner of this Region has a chance, but history doesnt support it. Im sure Coach Davis is concerned about it. I just think he does a good job coming up with a plan to contain it when Polk plays teams with alot of it. I just dont think speed will be the difference in this game. Turnovers and penalties will play a much bigger role.
  14. Ya know, after reading just how big, fast, and strong Central is this year Polk probably should just stay home. And I love the fact that Wrecking Crew almost guarantees a victory. The adults on here crack me up. Anyway, back to the game. Maybe Central wins, maybe Polk wins. Who knows. Hopefully this years game will be as good as last yrs game and nobody gets hurt. Speed will not be a factor in this game. Wasnt last year and wasnt againt Howard. Whoever makes the least amount of mistakes will win. And just maybe, ONE team at least can win a playoff game from this Region.
  15. Please ignore the last two idiots that have posted on this topic. "Limpy" should obviously learn some grammar. And as for Casper, he has been kicked off here enough to know to leave the players names out of it. As for the game, I think Polk wins this one by a couple touchdowns.....
  16. Are you serious? Polk County's coach plays dirty? Which game did Coach Davis try to hurt the other teams best player? Any true fan doesnt want to see ANY kid get hurt no matter who they are. Remember, these are all kids that are doing what they love to do. Jared will be fine @ QB. He is a good kid. Hopefully the Polk-Central game will be as good as last year, just with a different outcome.
  17. Matthew got all his looks, speed, and defensive skills from his dear old cousin...... /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

    Polk/Tellico

Thanks. I think Polk should handle Tellico pretty easily, as long as they are not looking ahead to Central next week. Ive only gotten to see Polk once all year due to my job, and that was the home game against Meigs. Next week should be pretty interesting.

    Polk/Tellico

Does anybody know the score from last night or did they even play? I can't find it anywhere..... Thanks.....
  20. Sorry that the Polk fans are so stupid. Maybe we are not as intelligent as you. We have a Sonic too, not just Hardees and McDonalds. You are right, this is a Hamby vs Ladd thread. Both are obviously great backs with 2 very contrasting styles. Good luck to both TEAMS, and may both TEAMS come out of this game healthy. No matter who wins....
  21. Nothing against Ladd, obviously he's a great back with the numbers he's put up. At the same time, both have almost identical numbers: over 1300 yards, 19-20 TD's. Two different style runners. Don't let Hamby's speed fool you though.
