dewayne (spot) chambers was the best all around hands down in my book!!! on the 1979 scott team he set the scoring record 102 which held till last year. he rushed for 902 yards on 187 carries a 4.82 yard average. on the play fast35 once he got in open field nobody ever caught him.spot only weighed 150 pounds but would run over people between the tackles like a fullback. he led the team in tackles from safety. on run support he was the hardest hitter i have ever seen play for scott.

coalfield wins this one. os has no passing game they went one for ten passing aginst scott. scott held there running game till steven kries scotts best defensive player got ejected in the first qtr. os pass defence is not very good either. scotts offensive line controled os front seven well the whole game.

kaz i hope oneida does take pride in the highlanders seven state titles!!! six in track and one in tennis. with oneida two that makes nine for SCOTT COUNTY!!!

scott high travels to wartburg friday the 4th. scrimmage starts at 5:30 or 6:00. scott is small and slow should be an interesting scrimmage.

leonardslosers u are right that this request for realingement was proposed to help us make playoffs. i feel that scotts biggest problem is not the region but losing players before they are seniors. last years team is a perfect example. we had six seniors on the team. when this group were freshmen they had 29 players on freshmen team that went undefeated beating ae , ac , and cumberland co. freshmen teams.
