I remember once upon a time waverly played mcewen.. hmm so long ago and I can even rememer way back when I was a J'Ville charger seems like it was one of the only games we would win almost 20 years ago McEwen always did like to talk big and fall hard.

Can anyone tell me how Tyler Fuller did in the game he is my cousin and I did not get to make it to any games this weekend work and all Got two darn good ballplayers goiing right now with my younger "he's bigger than me can't say little" brother playing at camden and cousin tyler at waverly "makes for great bridge talk" Anyone mind posting some stats if they know how many receptions? yards? how he did on D ?? would really appreciate it

where can you look at the brackets to see who is playing who if you know what place you are gonna finish??

I agree wholehearted on that one, You put them in and you let them play as hard as they can cause that is how they get experience and hopefully when it is their turn to be in the starting position they earned they will be good enough to do they same thing for their back up guys.. Do whatever try out trick plays or new things that you want to see how it looks.. Don't keep the first strings in to intentionally run it up. This is the first time I ever heard of this one but the opposing team coach spoke to our coach and they agreed to shorten the quarters to 8 mins for the second half of the game. We took our entire first string out in the beginning of the second quarter and let second, third and even end of the bench reserve guys play the rest of the game. they did score on our third string so it ended up 49-12 Camden over Riverside. we have won some games 45-3 54-6 48-7 48-0 44-6 41-9 and only two teams have scored on our fisrt string.. but we got LEWIS co. this coming friday and that one will be a showdown..

That would be fun but coach is not a fan of running it up on anyone so the third string and freshmen will finish it out but they are scoring running it up the center too.. SO who knows it isn't like you can tell the kidsd do not score!!

Just thinking about this one seeing as how I just heard that my little bros team is winning 49 to 0 and there is 4 mins left in second quarter.. oh and the third string is playing..

that is exactly right.. Alot of rivalry for east vs hickman in jr high and now that the new high is almost finished it will continue all the way through high school. will be good game and also I can't wait to have a game close to me for watching my brother play and others... My wife and I may have to sit on opposite sides though as she went to school in hickman and my brother plays for camden lol .

You got me all wrong. I am not trying to discredit Waverly. They played a hard game. Both sides talked alot before hand and some guys kept talking afterward ie "oh well we still got camden in Basketball and Baseball" but that is beside the point. Camden did not have the full first string in when waverly scored but the coach did put most of them back in for the remainder of the second quarter after that score. Their were alot of people in the crowd who wanted to see 50 on the board and coach probably could have done it if he wanted to but I think 41 9 is enough. Waverly did score more points than any other team has against them so you can hold on to that as your claim to fame for this years game. Thank You for the good luck we want to go all the way this year. Looking forward to the lewis co game and I will be making the LONG trip to get their hope fully before half time.

Hey Everyone I know there are plenty of digital cameras out there and when I decided to go look at some game pictures I was very disappointed that there are not very many in the files so break out those beautiful game shots you got and upload them so the rest of us can enjoy them. I was hoping to see a nice shot of my little brother sacking waverly qb last night but there is not a single game pic on here. So GET BUSY UPLOADING PEOPLE lol ..

I really like the idea of the Trophy.. That would be really cool to have a big trophy that looks some thing like a bridge or something else cool and it could have a large engravable plate and whoever wins gets to keep it until the next game. O f course the baseball and basketball teams would want some of that action too so we would have to have three of them in a display case one with a football one with a basketball and well you get the picture but I like the idea.. wonder if any principles get on here would like a little "friendly" trophy war.. if it got out of hand as far as sportsmanship and fighting then it would have to be done away with.

Actually I know you don't want to hear this one but they scored against second string guys. Yes it was the most points scored against them in a game but it was not against our first strings most of them went back in on the next play though. Good catch to my cousin Tyler Fuller. Looks like you guys have got one heck of a reciever coming up and if you can get some good air behind that qb arm you could have some good passing games in the future which would be nice because I have not seen alot of teams that do well against a great passing/pass option/run it myself team in high school ball.

lol how about 5 losses.. they say that milan is still going to be there and that is with 5 losses.. even though we all know them boys won those games that is what happens when you don't go by all the rules. those boys are gonna put it behind them and go on. I think they will still run deep in the playoffs.

People who know my family know who I am My youngest brother plays for Camden my next to youngest brothers screen name is rcombs. I played for Waverly. I am the oldest ooo yes that must be Chris. easy enough but some people prefer to stay unknown and that is their thing.

15 NWTF I graduated in 95 I believe the last year waverly more than 11 games deep. In the years of don don miller , casey murphree, robbin taylor, even bone, lee spratt...etc we were a very good team then not to say these boys playing now are not but I don't think waverly has seen a team as good as that one since we graduated. I did not get to play because I had a job my Senior year but I loved it all anyway I still worked out with the guys and I would have played but saving money at the time was a priority. I may be wrong about the 11 game thing and anyone can and will feel free to correct me.

I guess I should say exactly what I mean. I would like to see Camden play some stronger teams. I played High school Football and I am pretty sure the coach has some say in the year to year schedules. I would love to see Camden play some teams with some strength. Or by your account I would also love to see the teams they are playing bring it up a few notches. This fri night is going to be a fun game to watch. I hope Waverly and Camden both bring their a games I hate to see a game that afterwards everyone wants to cry well if we had done this or if the ref made this call .. I want to watch some good football. I will be doing a little walking around as I graduated from Waverly But my youngest brother plays for Camden.

hmmm If you think that playing together since you were like 5 makes you more special than any other high school team out there you need a reality check. nearly every team out there has guys who have all been playing together since they were kids with the exception of a few players on each team who move in or away. That is where the biggest part of the competition comes from. good healthy home town pride. No one would expect a Sr or Jr to want to trade teams unless in some cases you have an exceptional athlete who is on a losing squad that moves to a team that gets more college looks. Love the Pride you have it is healthy. But that doesn't allow you to call people names and talk down to someone you have never met. Do you think that person is as stupid as you accuse them of being? or do you think maybe it is someone just like yourself who loves their home team made and a stupid emotion based comment?

?? Which Brother? You know he has three and we were all there.. Had to be there. Homecoming game and then big wedding the whole family was in Camden Friday night and then in Evansville IN Saturday night. even the ones livin in Cali and Michigan. Had to mess with youngest brother that they could not hit the 50 mark.. lol "have to say younger cause they are all bigger than me now so I can't say little" I have to say that the only thing I can see being a drawback for Camden is that the starters have only played one entire game.. Would like to see Camden move up in the schedule strength lol hard to justify keeping Starters in when you are blowing everyone's doors off.. Then you would be one of those teams that everyone cries about running the score up. Course you can't say that when the sophomores and freshmen get as much play time as the starters do ... . . Sorry Waverly I know I played and graduated there but Camden is really gonna make this a boring game. It is hard to sit and watch games that have one team winning by 30 before halftime.. Only reason I have to give Waverly some credit this time is that they are playing Camden.. And we all know what kind of game that is. I like the score Camden 35 Waverly 7 Maybe 10 if the field goal kicker is worth a flip. Course we all know the only reason waverly is going to lose is all those turnovers and the couple times they got in range and could not make it in.

I don't think 5 is high I don't even think 8 is high not when you count all the things that go into making a nice field. I think that if I go to a $8 game and the field looks like crud I would be upset but grass seed, lawn equipment, fertilizer, and lining the field all that takes work and money. Also it helps to pay for other things at the school which do not generate as much interest. I may not be interested in some of the other sports or activities but I would hate to see it get shut down because it can not pay for itself. Imagine if you were the person who loved that activity and it got closed out because not enough money was in the school budget. I do not think it is unfair to charge students the same as anyone else. I think if you don't alot of times it just turns into a free place to hang out.

I am thinking that the 1-2 punch you talk about means # 38 being followed by #44 right up the middle that is a play they liked to run against Camden and it got them at least 5 almost everytime and talk about eating up some clock I would like to know what goodpastures time of possesion was against Camden it seemed like they had the clock all night long. Mistakes cost us the game and I have a feeling that is what will determine this game we "camden" had very good momentum going halftime 7-6 who woulda thought it. then they scored against us we were on our way back down the field later when someone " no names" dropped the ball after he laid one heck of a hit on a defensive guy. which they capitalized on and then their guy snatched up that pass and ran it in .. I mean if you look at the score yes we got beat but I promise it was a whole different story if you were there .. we lost the game .. meaning we made the mistakes and they took over .. I am going the easy route and not choosing but I will say that is one heck of a game I would love to be at unfortunately I have to work late Oh by the way I was at the game "Camden/Goodpasture" and definitely heard the fans chanting the goodbye thing. Players seemed like great sportsman but the crowd well I will just say they left a little to be desired. Didn't I read in another post that #22 ankle is broke ??
