  1. VY framed VY doing his Peyton type short film. Funny! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  2. With the new extended dead period in football putting a halt to spring 7-7 passing competition, I could see additional teams adapting to more of a run orient offense in the 2008 season. It takes longer time to come up to speed with the passing game than running formation. It will be interesting how the extended dead period will effect the spread type teams. This needs to be looked at year end to see how extending the dead period affected overall teams QB passing attempts and receiving yards for 2008. Will fewer scholarships be offered for QB's, Receivers, Safeties, and Cornerbacks due to lack of production?
  3. Dale is going to look real strong in this new car/Hendrick Team after the Bud Shootout win. Congrats Little E.
  4. Big difference...Peyton goes out as a healthy spectator. Young goes out hurt. He is loosening up the quad by walking and riding the bike. Don't diss McNair! We all know Peyton is great older QB but don't diss our Titans. They are up and coming. Titans will be pounding on the Colts regularly in the next few years. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  5. Please check, I want to know. I like wasting your time. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  6. You never heard of Bob Sanders? The Colts just made him the highest paid Safety in the NFL. I won't matter anyhow, It is New England year to take it all.
  7. Colts need to pay Peyton whatever he wants. He really makes the Colts a great team. There is no doubt the Titan won but the Colts made it easy for them.
  8. I'm surprise the Titans didn't cut Troupe this year. Three years is about right for the WR to make impact. This has to be address next season as the biggest need besides D Line depth.
  9. Texans went with all red uniforms tonight against Broncos on the NFL Channel Thursday game. The uniforms are the king of ugly. Texans are leading 12 points at the start of the fourth quarter over Broncos. Broncos defense looks bad, yet the Broncos killed the Titans this year.
  10. I am beginning to wonder if Solomon has went off the deep end on Peyton, purchased an #18 Peyton Manning Colts recliner like 2Priceless?
  11. C'mon Solomon, are you joining forces and drinking the Kool-Aid with 2P? I admired your loyalty to Petyon Manning but NE has the Indy's inside play calling video and audio library. NE will know what Indy will be calling before Peyton thinks it. Tony Dungy comments on "really sad day for NFL" (HBO's Costas Now) with Bill Belichick cheating scandal has Bill head-hunting Tony this season. Beware of the Hermit!
  12. That just about did it. Cleveland with the easier schedule will be the last playoff wildcard team. It is hard to believe this team folded their tents during the second part of the season and went home. Jeff Fisher generally does a better job than this. They should hand the Superbowl Trophy over to NE and be done with it.
  13. Halo effect for NE will keep Steelers out of first round bye. Vince Young is coming around finally. How Haynesworth plays goes the the Titans defense. They should be ready to close out the year on the upswing.
  14. Another example, Ryan Carl, Linebacker for UT, played RB & LB for BGA. He was a Mr. Football Back. I cannot find the qualification rules around Lineman or Back for Mr. Football this on the TSSAA website. If it exists, please post the link. If it doesn't exist, you could say it is up to the "Peers" to decided.
  15. Indy game announcer is not as annoying as the BA game announcer. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> We thought the Indy game announcer was kind of comical. On Indy's first downs, we would try to help mimic the words First Down out since he tried to stretch the words out for 4-5 seconds. The Indy's announcer must be working on his Michael Buffer impressions. He never got around to the "Let's get ready to rumble" during the game. It would have been an treat. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  16. Four games left, will or won't they make the playoffs as wildcard team? Beat the Chargers will be essential. Colts will rest the starters in the last game for a Titan win.
  17. It goes with the old joke of being the Capitol of Mississippi which is close to the the truth.
  18. Youth football programs in counties surrounding Nashville is about the best around with boys playing football from five years old. TYFA (Tennessee Youth Football Association) is a big excellent organization that includes many teams in the area. Middle School football is very active in these same counties. Youth football programs like these in Williamson, Wilson, Sumner, and Rutherford Counties gives kids a leg up on other areas of the state in football. The Brentwood Blaze has grown around to 500 kids playing every fall. The same kids move into the middle school and high school program for both public and private high schools.
  19. I like to jump in on this being familiar with both teams. Last year, Chris Jordan had a great game against Ravenwood. He was able to bring BA back in the fourth quarter, knock down a second OT extra two points from to secure the 1 point victory. He was the best last year but he got knee injury during the season to sit out a major portion of the year. This year, he played one snap in the Ravenwood game to sit out the rest of the game with ankle injury. He played through the nagging injuries off and on through the rest of the season. When it came to the big games, CJ couldn't perform to the best of his ability to help BA win against MBA, especially on defense. I've watch Ben Bartholomew come through in games to win it for his MBA team. He was the difference in Hillsboro game on defense in the last minute of play. He was the difference maker for MBA win against Ravenwood. You can make the claim that BB was difference maker in both MBA wins over BA when CJ had the chance to showcase with knockout wins for BA. Ben Bartholomew body of work in the running, blocking, receiving, tackling, and disrupting the other team game plan was the difference although the stats don't show it. I'd pick CJ at the start of the season for Top Back but at the end of the season, it was Ben Bartholomew, Mr. Do All Football Player...not a bad punter as well. He was "THE WATERBOY" for MBA.
  20. Life is not fair but it is what it is.
  21. I would have to think Maplewood Coach Ralph Thompson deserves such an honor. For a coach to establish football displine in a Metro inner city school football program off Dickerson Road is a tall task for any coach and Coach Thompson should be recognized for his accomplishment this year. If anyone told me Maplewood would be playing Maryville for the 4A championship before Maplewood defeated Hillsboro, I would be asking for your commitment to the insane asylum.
  22. If I had a pick of all the players from the Mr. Football finalist, Rodriguez Wilks would have been the first. He has the gift of talent many dream about. To win it at receiver says something as most Mr. Football awards go to QB or RB. He will be exciting player to watch at UT next few years if UT gets a QB throwing a pass more than 20 yards downfield with decent accuracy.
  23. Visitors side won the last four championships and it really doesn't matter...or does it?
  24. Ravenwood was on the pressbox side (home) of the field in 2006 and visitor side of the field in 2005. There is no choice on picking home or visitor side of the field. Top side of the TSSAA bracket team (Smyrna) will be on the home (pressbox) of the field in 2007 and Independence will be on the visitor (double deck) side of the field. It will flip next year. The lower bracket will be home side of the field. Smyrna will be sitting in chairbacks between the 40's. Independence will be sitting on bleachers...bring a cushion.
  25. This is an interesting tidbit from previous 5A Championship Game since the 2003 game between Riverdale (Home) and Germantown (Visitors) @ MTSU Floyd Stadium. The visiting team has won the 5A Football Championship four straight years in row. This year Smyrna will be home team and Independence will be visiting team. What are the odds of the visitor winning streak continue in 2008 for the fifth straight year or be broken?
