  1. 8A Watertown 9A Community/MTCS Anything could happen but I would have to say that these two are more likely to win it than not to win it. 7A is going to be a dogfight between Jackson County, Clarkrange, and Pickett County 1A is most likely South Greene I would think (even though they were upset this week).
  2. Tryouts for the 2015 spring and summer season is almost upon us. Tryouts for the Tennessee rush basketball program will be February 28th for the 3rd through 8th grade girls. I will post times on here soon. You can also follow the website at www.tennesseerush.webs.com. Recent accomplishments for the Tennessee rush program includes competitive teams at the division 1 AAU state level, state championships and runner ups in the pat few years in several age groups in both AAU division 2 and YBOA division 1. Please check out our website for more information on what we are all about and consider joining the elite AAU basketball program in the upper Cumberland. You can also contact coach Matt Ferrell for questions or more information at 931-510-8835 or email at tennesseerush@gmail.com.
  3. I don't know about that though. Everyone knows teams get considerably more psyched up to play against district teams. That being said I think CLARKRANGE is clear and away better than community. Jackson county is also better in my opinion. Although neither of them has ONE player that can play with the girl at community. She's very good. But I believe clarkrange and Jackson have much better teams. Pickett played better against both of them than the night they played community. Not saying if they played again the result wouldn't be the same but I think the top 3 in 7a could walk through 9a even though some of those teams have had dogfights with community. MTCS is also a good team out of that district (I think) that's pretty good. I think the rest of the district would have a tough go of it with Pickett, Jackson, or clarkrange though. Could be wrong.
  4. Yep. Pickett lost to community. On a phantom bogus foul out of Picketts leading scorer during the tip to start double OT. A call that has never been called before and won't be again. PC also led by 5 twice and gave it away. I think since then they have found ways to win. So, as you said, yes Pickett lost to community but I think anyone would agree that that matchup would be better for Pickett at the BORO than it will the other way around.
  5. My understanding is that Faith Van Ruden re broke her collar bone last night. She was just cleared from a collar bone break this week, with the LA game being her first game back and last night being her second. Not sure on whether it was that out of control or not. I heard she was injured on a loose ball hustle play. Not sure about the boys game.
  6. Around 60 teams are committed for this tournament. I am looking to fill spots in a few age groups and I will work out a really good deal to get these spots filled. Please contact Matt Ferrell at tennesseerush@gmail.com or text/call 931-510-8835 ASAP and see what we can do to get you in.
  7. Those two are the only ones on the boys side. I believe they also were state runner ups in either 93 or 94. The girls have 5 gold. 1977,78,79,80 and 1989. Not sure on silvers with them.
  8. Pickett did not win it all with that bunch but they won it in 1990 with Eugene Parris, Brent smith and that bunch. They also won it in 1995 led by Joseph Amonett.

  12. Really tough draw for Upperman. CPA is very good at every position. I don't see them having a problem with anyone in AA.
  13. Just FYI the state champion almost always gets four all state players. Maybe it should be noted that these awards are all state tournament. That's not saying they're four of the best single a players in Tennessee. It's saying they were four of the best in the state tournament. Obviously. Just like the region says that they were four of the best in the region tournament. I think the key is it's only limited to teams in the tournament.
  14. Tennessee rush will be holding tryouts for 10th and 11th grade girls this Thursday night march 13th from 7-9pm at Livingston academy. Contact information for tryouts is tennesseerush@gmail.com or call coach Ferrell with questions at 931-510-8835.
  15. Any sophomore or junior girl that is interested in trying out for the Tennessee Rush program please contact Coach Ferrell at 931-510-8835 or email me at tennesseerush@gmail.com...looking to get started as soon as high school tournaments are over.
  16. Agreed...clearly overrated. Previous years state champions: Jackson- 2013, Clay- 2012, WAYNE CO.-2011, Jackson- 2010, Clarkrange- 2009...I think that is 4 of the last 5...possibly more but I think my point is made...They are just like the SEC in college football...totally overrated.
  17. BUMP...tryouts are tomorrow at Livingston Middle School. Times are posted above. Hope to have a big turnout.

  20. Again that's false. They're also appealing. Both schools have separate appeals meetings scheduled. Trust me they're both appealing. Again, False information.
  21. Just FYI to ref...I know your info is obviously biased but it's also incorrect. No PC players left the bench area at any time. No fines were given for players from either team leaving their respective benches. Please by all means post whatever opinion you want, but atleast have some factual information before downing student athletes on a public forum, behind a screen name.
  22. He's going to sit vs York tomorrow night as a precaution but will return next week to start the district.
