  1. Whoops, looks like Warren County took care of Tullahoma pretty easily. 35 to 15. Good Win
  2. Your wrong about football and basketball jv not getting changed. Happens all the time sometimes the day of the game. Personally I like varsity playing early especially in the first half of the season when it can get very cold after dark. Baseball is always going to be more fluid than other sports due to the threat of rainouts. Everybody has their own preference on scheduling. Seems like a lot of fuss over nothing. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  3. Why do you find it necessary to use this name whenever you have a negative post about Waverly. You know I never agree with your opinions, but I would at least respect you if you would be man enough to use the name you normally post under instead of hiding behind this name. Before you deny anything, save your breath everyone at WCHS knows who you are. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  4. No, the offense does not normally take that long to produce a shot. However, if a defense is quick and denys out top it takes longer to produce a shot. The problem tonight was too many turnovers. Some of that was McNairy's d some unforced.
  5. The Waverly - Sycamore game had less than 20 fouls total. Neither team gets into the bonus in the first half and less than 20 free throws combined for the entire game. That was some "rough" game. Each slur you throw out about Waverly makes you a bigger and bigger joke. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  6. Well PhilMeyer looks like your a Waverly fan now. Hope that is okay with you. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Seriously what do you expect you come on this board and imply that Waverly's success is luck and then imply that that their players are dirty. Where is your proof. No technicals, no ejections, no fouls called for elbows. Now what do I expect. One support the teams you like (Cheatham and Houston County-who by the way I know has battled injuries this year and still fought hard and who I wish best of luck to in their region tournament.) Two quit suggesting a team with a winning record did so with luck it just makes you look silly. Third don't make accusations you have no proof of, it just makes you sound bitter. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  7. I don't know exactly how to respond to this. It is obvious you have a strong prejudice when it comes to Waverly. You keep talking about girls you have watched through middle school. Well of the girls that play regularly this year, only four are from Waverly Junior High. One is a freshman and one a sophmore and since you keep talking about the seniors at Cheatham I am guess these two younger players would not apply. That leaves two seniors. These two girls have rarely even played in a varsity game until this year (we are talking mopup minutes only). So either you are basing this on what you saw four years ago (their junior high years) or this year. Well I have seen every game this year and you are badly mistaken. Now is basketball physical, yes. Is there pushing and shoving underneath the basket, yes. Do both sides complain about the other and yet try to gain an advantage the same way, yes. However, to call out these girls the way you have is biased and unfair. Oh by the way I never seen either one of these girls "cry" about anything. You are badly mistaken and I believe the responses you gotten on this board more than proves that "everyone" does not agree with your assessment.
  8. If winning five games in a row, beating two of the top four in your district (including your beloved Cheatham Co.), finishing tied for second in the district (when most felt they would do good to finish seventh), and play Harpeth to an even score with four minutes to go is luck then so be it. For whatever reason you feel the need to insult the young ladies from Waverly. If you had a clue you would know that this is a team with almost no experience (13 of the 16 players are 10th or 9th graders) including 9 freshmen. It would appear to me we are talking about a team that has worked for what it has gotten like all other successful teams. It is fine to feel one team is better than another but to fail to give credit where credit is due shame on you. One who is not clueless recognizes their own teams success and the success of your opponent. You should try it sometime. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  9. and I see your still clueless /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  10. Have you even seen Waverly Play. What is your issue.
  11. Wow! Glad to know the girls from Waverly had nothing to do with it! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  12. The young man has a parent with a serious medical issue. Having good interaction between student sections is great but sometimes things happen that are out of bounds this would be one of those times.
  13. Okay she said the officiating was a joke and it was. She never said it was one sided. The number of free throws were correct and yes it would have been much more even without the fouling at the end. This is what happens when you send a jv/freshman official to an important district matchup. Now to make it seem as if the only team being physical on the court was Waverly well that is a bit one-sided. Personally I saw many overly physical plays on both sides of the ball. #24 for Fairview pulled on his jersey and complained loudly on his fourth foul but there was no technical. Bottom line the officials lost control, their calls were confusing and inconsistent. They even had the scorekeeper confused because they kept changing who the fouls were called on. I will agree that Fairview was the better team last night. I will agree I was impressed by #33 for Fairview. Now is Fairview the better team maybe, Waverly shot horribly from the three point line (missing many open looks) and missed fifteen FT's including many front end of one and ones. So lets see what happens when they play again on the 13th. We should all be able to agree that the officiating has got to be better.
  14. never mind keep those black and gold colored glasses on. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  15. Whoa!!!! What game were you watching. Take off the black and gold colored glasses!!!! I will gladly admit the officiating was bad, but bad both ways. Even worse in the girls game (basically nothing called short of a mugging), but to even hint that Waverly got by with murder is ridiculous. Bottom line after the first quarter Waverly was just quicker and sharper from the field. Now if we could just get that scoreboard operators attitude adjusted! When an apology is offered one should accept it not tell a coach "You need to get to the locker room and coach your team" especially when the scoreboard operator is the one not doing there job.
  16. I believe the turmoil is one tigermom. It appears to me the response to her post has been swift and severe. It appears to me support for the Tigers and Coach Rawlings has been solid. The firestarter in the group has been drowned out and maybe has learned her lesson.
  17. I have read both of your posts. Now the quote from you above makes it pretty plain what you meant. So now to cover up the fact you have ripped the head coach in a public form, you backtrack and explain to us all that you really meant to rip the players. Let me give you some sincere advice. 1. never post on this board again, unless it is 100% positive of all team members. 2. Give each player you named here in a negative way a one on one personal apology (yes they read this board). 3. Let your son know you have let your emotions get the best of you and made a mistake. and that you were wrong. 4. work hard at seeing that your son's coach is working hard at getting the best out of your son and his teammates, and doesn't deserve any of what you have brought out.
  18. Amen! you have it exactly right. Last two games (and really all season) the Tigers have struggled with the three, and really shooting period. Last night 3 for 20 from the 3 and under 33 percent from the field. They are a team that must hit from outside to score. Hopefully, the shots start falling. As far as the comment from Tigermom, well it is a mom and sometimes a parent just can't see the real problem. If your a parent you can understand that. However, in the past two years Coach Rawlings has gotten about as much out this group that one can. I agree with Coach of the Year comment. They are good kids, they work hard, they play hard, but anyone that thinks the Tigers are loaded is looking at things through rose colored glasses. But, again sometimes that's just a parent and they can't see it. They are guard oriented and they like to push the tempo. That is hard to do when a team isn't scoring. They will come around and starting hitting. They last thing they need is somebody telling them that their coach is the problem.
  19. Why in the world would they pull Fairview out of this district and put them in a district that now has 8 teams. The obvious choice would have been to leave Fairview in and put Cheatham in District 9. Take Macon County out of district 9 and put them in district 8. This would have given each of these four districts 7 teams. Now you have district 8 with only six teams. Districts 9 and 11 have 7 teams. District 12 has 8 teams. It is pretty obvious somebody was pulling the political strings to get what they wanted. Just can figure out if its Macon County over Cheatham County.
  20. Redzone, It looks as though you have it exactly right. Let me say I have never been more thrilled to be wrong! Won't miss the trips to Sycamore and Cheatham. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  21. They beat USJ had one running back run for 502 yards on 37 carries. Team rushed for 598 yards. They do play Jackson Christian
  22. Hey , JP hope you are well. I am always here. Sorry if seeing the humor in someone's statement got things stirred up.
  23. The head coach discussing strategy with the radio announc /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> er. Rofl That is just to funny.
