Ok everyone just calm down please. This is getting way too ridiculous. Ravenwood Fans: Please, please stop posting these terrible comments. I know it is hard to lose this one, coming so close and to lose it, I know. Trust me, I play for Ravenwood, and it is the hardest thing I have ever gone through. But they beat us fair and square. There is no if ands or buts about it. Do I think the officiating was a little bit favored towards Smyrna? Maybe, but it is not like we havnt had home-cooking before. Do I think that other than two fumbles, Smyrna played an almost perfect game, as well as catching almost every break? Possibly, but teams create their own luck. Do I think the Smyrna players were showing terrible sportsmanship after the game? Yes, but we have to understand we have some of the cruelest fans in the state, joking or not,so it is a bit understandable when they did that. Did the Ravenwood players ever show any bad sportsmanship on the field on Sat night. From my knowledge no, but I could be wrong. Am I proud of what my team has accomplished? Yes, could not be more proud of whatt this team had done. After starting off 1-3 we went on to win 9 out of last 11 games and were State Finalist, not to mention beating the 2006 5A State Champs long the way. This was not supposed to be our year, our year was last year, we were suppossed to be terrible because of all the talent we lost. We proved everyone wrong. No we did not have all the talent in the world, and probably did not the elite team that was built for a State Championship, but we fought, we fought like heck. We played with more heart than anyone has every seen, just ask any of our opposing players. Saturday night wasn't our night. Smyrna may beat us 9 out of 10 times or 1 out of 10, who knows? But Saturday night belonged to Symrna. It was their year. They deserve it. I couldnt be more proud of this team and community for supported us on this rollercoster ride. I have been blessed to play on 2 State Finalist teams and coming out with one championship. So to say I am not disappointed is hard because Rector always says there is no such thing as moral victories, but how can I be? I came so close with these guys and did some amazing things together. And I dont care what anyone else says. We are the second best team in the state. We made it to the Finals and lost. People may have their opinions, but these are the facts. Last year we were 1st in the State and this year we were 2nd, not too shabby huh. Thank you Ravenwood community and fans for making it the best fall of my life. And as for my team mates, you guys are my brothers and although I will not be there next year to help lead this team, I have no doubts that you guys will have another great season. Life doesnt always work out the way you want it to. Its how you respond to lifes challenges. That is when the true character of a man shows. I loved this year, and might never get completly over it. C-C-C Smyrna: Great game, great season, congragulations. There is no felling like being on top I know. Good luck next year, I know you have a lot of talent returning and trust me it will be ten times harder next year because you will get everyones best game. Great job Please everyone stop posting these horrible comments, on both sides. For the sake of football and yourselves.

ddint oakridge beat the UNDEFEATED riverdale last year and ravenwood was supposed to get stomped..dont get to ancy in your pancy smyrna its gonna be a long night for yall.

Ok but to not have Adam Presley, OLB for Ravenwood on there, starter since a sophmore, having a great year, but you have Issac Baugh in there for both WR and Db. Ok personally i thought he was the most overratted receiver i have seen all year, but then again they had not too good of a night when they player us. So, ok ill give him at least one, WR, but you cannot give him both DB and WR. All him and Darneel did as corners was line up and run with the guy you are covering. Purley offensive player. Him and Darnell may have the stats to be on there, but trust me there are better receviers. But again i only saw one game so i may be completly wrong.

Ok, Im a Ravenwood fan, so I really don't like to post in other games message boards, but i just have two things to say. One, Symrna great job. No one thought you could do it, just like no one thought we could get this far. It is a great feeling proving so many people wrong isn't it? Two, I just want to know where SCONFEARTHESPEAR08 is, or however you spell his name. All year he had been getting on Ravenwood blogs, (Symrna's too probably) and bashing our team, even after we drilled indy, even after we handled Gallitin. I never said anything back because I didn't want to stoop to his level. But I'm sorry this time I say it. KARMA IS A BIA AINT IT! I hope ever word you have said bashing everyother team in the state other than Riverdale is coming back and bitting you in the butt. Again I am not the type of person to come on here and talk trash, but this was just too good to pass up. Sorry Spear08, maybe you can come to the State Championship game and tell everyone how weak we are, ill get you front row tickets.

ok..we get it..people can sit here and hate on 88 all they want..they fact of the matter is that he is supposed to be a big time player.."D1 prosepect" from what everyone is saying..who cares if he does a little chest banging..he may of been a hot shot all season long, but when it counts, where everyone sees what your made of in playoff time...we saw NOTHING, as did the scouts..im fine with the chest banging..i was just interested in the performance...and got nothing out of him when in counted..if scouts were there the player they were taking note of was Becker

If you ask anyone what is best about Ravenwood's defense though, they would say their secondary, especially their two corners, George Tanifum and Scott Ford. Trust me Ravenwood practiced all week the jump balls especially with Ford because they just knew Woodward would take advantage of his hieght. Either A, Woodward didn't want to chance it with RHS's solid corners, or B the running game was working so well they felt no need to risk it. Either way it never happened. Not a single pass was thrown to a reciever Ford was on and one to Tanifum on the last drive of the game. With all due respect though, Ford has had to cover two guys from centinial one of which was 6'7 and the other 6'8. Now I know I know it was Centinial, but still all the had to do was throw the ball up. All Ford did was have two picks and not a single ball caught on him. Maybe Woodward didn't want to chance it but who knows.

They appeared to be much faster? Umm did you not see mike ayers, #16 for ravenwood? He burned that corner i think four times by simply just running right by him, two of which were touchdowns. Cmon man get your facts straight

Im pretty sure that chris livingston placed and on the website it says that sean ford got 7th place.
