It was very dissapointing to lose at home at the beginning of the year. CSAS is a much different team, and it doesn't look like Grace has played like they did at CSAS since then. Should be interesting. May have to call the fire marshall Friday night because it is going to be packed.
Historically the Region 3-A/AA teams have been very successful in the sub-state on the road. I look for that trend to continue as CSAS comes home with a win.
At the conclusion of the CSAS-Notre Dame match, two fans went after the referee yelling all kinds of explicatives and threatening him. Luckily none of the threats materilalized. It was just an ugly situation that should NEVER happen. There was also a Notre Dame player who was ejected in the game who went after the same ref and actually bumped him. Not a great reflection on Notre Dame's character.
There was never a question of where the game would be played. Good luck to the patriots as they take on Temple. Should be easy, but at this point in the year they never are. These are the kind of games that coaches lose sleep over.
Hey Grace, can you feel the pressure mounting. You must beat CSAS or your season is a failure in most Grace fan's eyes. Feel the pressure. CSAS has no chance.
Congrats to the Pats! 12-0 in the District, Regular and Tournament Champs! The future is even brighter. Most of the 2nd half CSAS had 5 sophomores on the floor with Dragoo, Powell, and Craven on the bench. THis is only the beginning.
I heard Dr. Stacy called two meetings yesterday, one with faculty and one with the students. I heard that most of the students were so upset with the situation and what Stacy was saying that a lot of them walked out while he was speaking. What a mess! I have also heard that the new football coach has mentioned to a few people, "What have I gotten myself in to?" That is the million dollar que$tion!
