The coaches kid would have been eligible. If his dad wasn't the coach, he could have gone just about anywhere he wanted. He is that good!!!!!!!!! In my opnion, coach D is the lucky one.

Coach Lindsay is eligible for retirement now. I can see that happening. I would say he is ready to get back to coaching. He also has ties with some of the other coaches at CAK. I also see it being hard to leave West High School. He has been there forever.

CAK would be a tough place to coach if parents with money are dictating what is done. I can't imagine Tommy Pharr in that situation. As a matter of fact, Coach Lindsay doesn't play that game either. Chris is a great person. The CAK people would love to havhim.e

First of all. Congrats to the ADS. Rob is a very good pitcher, but this team was about a whole lot more. Alot of players stepped it up for Farragut. Look at the middle infield. IVY really came along and contributed greatly. The Fresham grew up in a hurry. Stallings , Powell, Cooper were great freshaman.Dont forget Reynolds and Eskew, Nelson. Another great story is how Joey Delmonico contributed. It's great to hear about him for a change. Hats off to Tommy Pharr for molding these players this year. This was a total team effort with someone new stepping up every game. I know Farragut probably worked harder than any team. Farragut has made Knoxville baseball look very good over the years. I have been told that the 4AAA disrict tournament was as tough as the state tournament. Knoxville is a great Baseball town.

You couldn't ask for a better matchup. Unfortunately, only one of them will advance. Knoxville will be very well represented either way.I give the edge to Halls. Those seniors have played in some very big games since they were 11 years old. This won't phase them. Coach Pharr has done a terrific job this year. No doubt he should be coach of the year. Bearden will take care of Karns.

It was a great game with alot of emotion. A few controversial calls got Farragut and Bearden really fired up. It appeared the 2 coaches were even jawing at each other.Kurt Powell and Barton Ivy really came up big in the 7th for Farragut. Copeland came in and did a nice job of keeping his head after giving up a homer to Ivy.It was a bad day to be a ump. Alot of bang bang calls. Good for Kendall Wells. What a classy kid. The game winner couldn't have happened to a better kid.

I am not saying the rock shaking is right but it is better than where my kid plays and the fans and players sit in the hands and say nothing. I have never seen nothing but class out of the Bearden program.Let the kids have fun. It's tournament time!!!! These kids have worked hard all year for one goal.

Clark Wormsley at Webb and Coach Buckner at Bearden help thier players alot

Thats the great thing about baseball, anything can happen on any given day. South Doyle is still a very good team. It will be a great tournament. As I said earlier, don't count Farragut out. Watch out for William Blount. Could there be a surprise in that district. 3 AAA, who knows who will win that one.

Kolinsky from CAK does not throw 90mph. If lucky, he touches 85. I saw a gun on Lockwood. It was 86 consistently. Everyone tends to add 4 or 5 mph to these pitchers

As you well know, One player does not make a team. The same person can't pitch every game in the tournament. South Doyle has other good pitchers. The Bulldogs had a very good game and 2 sophmores led the way. They are going to have very good pitching the next few years. Bearden swings the bat very well. Don't count them out come tournament time.

Karns High School is the worst place to see a game. Everything is closed in on you

Jake Ryan of Knoxville West has pitched very well this season.He beat Central, did well against Halls also.

Karns should give alot of credit for thier success to thier coach. He is very aggressive.Karns is a middle of the road team just like most of the teams in 3AAA Don't count Oak Ridge out come tournament time. Coach Froning always has them ready.

Patterson pitched against West on Tuesday. Halls should take care of them. Karns is very well coached and they force the other teams to make mistakes. They should have been beaten by West. West gave that one away.

Ryne Holland would look good in ORANGE

Its a shame the News Sentinel doesn't do more on baseball. Blount Co makes us look sick. Actually Baseball in Knoxville is much stronger than football or basketball.Everyone should call the paper and complain. Seems like prep xtra on fridays ended after basketball.

Central had a very good hitting team. Jake Ryan kept them off balance most of the night. West probably played one of thier best games also. Central could be a very good team with more pitching. West could also, they are just not deep enough at pitching. Some sophmores are stepping it up. West has a good lineup. Everyone is healthy. Matt Byrd played for the 1st time all year againstCentral.

Congrats to Powell and Coach Inman. Halls has a very good team. This could be the best thing to happen to them. They will bounce back for sure. A huge win for Powell!!!

What are some of the good High School showcases? Is it necessary? If a kid is a juco or NAIA player, are these national show cases needed.Is this a money maker?

The coach has everything to do with it. Who cares how many games a team wins. It's all about learning and playing good competition. It is good for a kid to play for someone other than thier dad.
