Camden and Huntingdon will battle for first. I give the edge to Camden. Waverly is third. Riverdside and Adamsville will battle for fourth. Stewart County might get real lucky with their 3A numbers and squeek into the playoffs.

Regions 7 and 8 are fine when you take JCS out.

This is not a tough region. Should work out like this: Outside looking in Gleason, Greenfield and South Fulton 4th - Lake County or West Carroll 3rd - Union City 2nd- Bruceton 1st - McKenzie

You need to define "regularly". According to CoachT going back to 2001 you have played twice. You split losing in 03 and winning in 04. You are correct about Henry Counties record with Milan.

The Westview game is a lose/lose/win game. Lose- If you beat them they are 2A you are supposed to you are 4A. Lose- If you lose you lost to a 2A team (even though they would make the playoffs in region 7AAAA almost every year.) Win- They typically have a crowd and only being a county away may add to the excitement. Rest assured former HC coaches Coady and Hurst will have there team very prepared, better fix the secondary. I think this is a good game to schedule though. There are few teams in the area that better.

I have a question. What offense will HC run next season? Will graduation lead to a change in style to match the athletes that remain? I know spring has not started. The only ones that will know are coaches or those close to the coaches. Just curious.

Well looks like Lake county will be making their hire soon. Obion hired Driggers. I have not heard anything about Scotts Hill. I guess they are waiting to see what teaching slots will be available. Tipton-Rosemark can be added to the list. There may still be a few more have heard some talk of retirement. We will have to wait and see I guess.

Am I correct in assuming that those three weeks would basically run from the end of season through the end of Christmas break?

I have no problem dropping a game out of the playoffs, but giving the #1 a first round bye is a bad idea that the TSSAA has already learned its lesson about(hopefully). The first year we went to 5 classifications this was done and a LARGE number of the #1 seeds lost following the bye week. Taking the top two teams would be ok and would make the regular season that much more important, but then you lose out on the occasional Livinston Academy(4th seed winning out).

I would think the current freshmen and 8th graders would be allowed to play. They would get two years experience then be seniors and juniors when they go to a varsity schedule.

Have not heard anything from the folks in Lake County.

I think it is time for TACA or TFCA to take over football playoffs. I think Alabama is considering this same thing. Kentucky has allowed an 11th game. The TSSAA just makes you want to scratch your head and wonder. Well if Football Coaches get together with adminstrators and threaten to or just pull football out of the TSSAA we can force change.
