  1. I believe his name is Eric Baird? (don't know if I got the last name spelled right) That's all I know about him.
  2. Former Lady Pioneer and coach of the Lady Blue Devil Freshman team Erica (Mathis) Bragg came into town last night and beat the Lady Pioneer freshman team handily I don't remember the score but they won by 30.
  3. Our girls lost a tough game with Coffee Co. the other night. Coffee Co. knew our weakness and exploited it. I know that when you live by the Three you die by it, but I would love to see our girls go inside. I remember a couple years ago when Amanda Locke played she helped the Lady Pioneers win some games because she wasn't scared to go inside. Keep your heads up girls play hard we support you.
  4. Well we lost again. Had a good lead going into half time on Cannon Co. and wound up losing by 2.
  5. I would like to see Jessica Grayson coaching the girls she is a graduate assistant at Valdosta State University. She would do well. I would re-check my info about AJ applying for the principal job.
  6. I totally agree with this post. Does anyone else notice that her brother can not be found at the girls games and magically appears for the boys games? I still wish the girls the absolute best. Keep your heads up Lady Pioneers.
  7. I am not questioning her coaching ability, However if people do not like the current situation with the Head coach being the AD's sister then how will it go if it were his sister-in-law. Now all of this could be silenced if she comes in and does a great job.
  8. It wouldn't go over too well....From my recollection she is the AD's sister in law as well .
  9. I do not wish the girls to give up 100 points. Although, I feel it is possible. I do have one question, and this is not bashing. I like to call it constructive criticism. Why does our coach sits down when she subs the bench players in at the end of a game, I feel they need guidance just the same as the starters?
  10. The Girls still are having problems with beating a full court press.
  11. Good luck to both teams tonight. Lets go Pioneers lets get a homecoming victory!!!
  12. This is a really good article for any fan and parent to read. There is no excuse to yell at anyone. Yelling does make people look bad.
  13. My observation of Pioneer football is the feeder system of the JFL (peewee football) was started up again in the late 90's. I believe that these seniors were some of the charter members of the leauge. If we want the high school football team to be successfull we have to rely on our youth coaches to create a long standing intrest. It is hard to develop skill players in just a couple of years, it also depends on the ability of a player that can change the time it takes. If you look at how we have a succesfull baseball program at the school is because we have an outstanding feeder system. It will take time. You guys might be upset with coaches, but are you willing to go out there and coach? I will tip my hat to them for trying their best.
  14. You know there is one thing that I have noticed this year more than I have in years past with the old ball coach. When her team gets down she sits down and and stops coaching, and if the game is close she will coach the team. This doesn't make sense to me. and one of my pet peaves of mine is the whole layup thing the only one that I saw at the game make a layup was Locke the others that had breakaways which were not many do that stop jump shot instead of taking it to the hole. there is going to have to be changes made not just in the high school level but in the elementary level. to help feed our high school program there are six schools that are feeding our high school and one of the reasons that they do not gel is because they are worried about county championships.
  15. Nice Post motownmom, I think that this reiterates what we all are trying to say we are proud of our girls and we do want them to do well I just wish that we could see them get better as their time progresses through their high school career. I just want to say look at the talent that has came through this program who hasn't gotten better until they go to the next level and on there own. I am not trying to stir more things up but did she help her with a scholarship to Cumberland? If she did why hasn't she with others.
