I don't see him being an all american, there are a lot of kids who are as good or better than him, not a whole lot but they're out there. Maybe by his junior year. I could see him playing a lot right out of the gates at a D-2 school though.

Will the new coach fix the lines in the field? I hope not, i always get a good laugh by looking at them. But seriously, McMinn Central wont conten dfor some time. I mean, its McMinn Central...and football...I kinda need a shower just sayin the two at the same time... Who will fill in the left side of the line for Polk?

??? What right does anyone from Central have to talk about football? I mean, Polk isn't great at basketball but at least they win games. Polk won more games last year then Central won in 4 years on the football field. I mean come on, TSD wins more games than you. And no, the best Basketball team in this area was the '93, '94, or '95 LADY Tigers, This years Central team couldn't even beat them. As far as the fan support goes, no one else really cares who cheers for Central either. Like i said, hatred for Central is widespread.

Might as well just bring home a t-shirt and an empty roll of film. And as far as region and all that goes, we've been there 12 straight years with a couple of sub-state appearances as far as I know. State tourny 6 times. No, its probably not as many times as you, but we still have just as much to show for it. Oh yeah, the way Bolivar Central and Mitchell are playin, looks like all you'll get this year is another "ALMOST won it" plaque, another t-shirt, and another empty roll of film.

Alright i can't look at this any more. Who died and made you CoachT god? How many people remember who DIDN"T win the State Champship? All the stuff your saying is irrelevant because you are just further pointing out the fact that your coach can't win the big game. Yeah, you've been there and Polk hasn't, but you have just as much to show for it as they do. And yes, the feeder schools make a difference. Anyone who says they don't is an idiot. Yes, Central is talented and will win the district and possibly even the region, but what does it matter if they don't bring back some hardware, or at least something that doesn't say "hey, you ALMOST won, better luck next time." Maybe the sign outside your school should be changed to "McMinn Central, The Proudest Cockiest School in Tennessee"

I would think the big ? would be the linebackers. It will be hard to replace Merideth and Hayduck. I hope i spelled those right.

What about Howard? Who do they lose? I know Darius McDonald will be gone, but who else? If it weren't for an overtmie loss at Meigs they would have been in the playoffs. I don't think its fair not to include them in this discussion. East Ridges QB will be back but I dont know who else. I don't know a lot about Grundy, and until Central and Tellico get coaches and Sequyah gets...well...whatever it is they need, i don't think they will be big factors in the region, at least not for some time.

I know graduation hit 3 of the top 4 teams pretty hard. Polk has a good QB and some parts of thier defense coming back i believe. Meigs is DECIMATED up front, loosing 4 starters, three 3 year starters, but essentially returns everyone in the backfield. I know ND graduated 20+. We'll just have to wait and see...

It does look like LA is sort of calling attention to themselves. Can't say enough about Wilson Cates though. All i remember is watchin the title game and seeing him come up and bust Lipscombs QB in the mouth on a keep around the outside. Hopefully he's shaved since then, those beards can itch an awful lot.

Will central have the talent to get into the playoffs next year? Beat Meigs? Be competitive with Polk or ND? My picks for next year are East Ridge and Meigs for next year because graduation hit ND, Polk, and Howard pretty hard. Whats the talent level going to be like at McMinn Central next year? Especially up front. I would think that all the new coach will have to work with will be Nick Davis and a young QB.

Central has all the talent they need to be competitive, just not enough coaching to win. Players out of position, poor play calling, things coaches need to do to be successful aren't beig done at McMinn Central. If Williams didn't leave he should have been removed. I am in no way, shape, or form by any means in the least bit at all a "baby blue" supporter or fan, but it doesn't take one to tell you that whoever comes in better be ready for a challenge. this program is in serious need. I don't care if they've improved, they still have half a hill (if not further) to climb, and with most teams in they're region being hit hard by graduation, now is the time to make changes to get that program where it needs to be. If they miss out n the playoffs this year then it will be sometime before they see post season action.
