Someone said a week ago that this Loretto offense is going to be a problem in this region. They are the best team in this region and it isnt even debatable

I was told Loretto wasnt as good as Forrest and that Forrest was going to beat the brakes off of them. I was told Lawrence County wasnt very good.....Leading a playoff team from last season 35-0 with 10 to play in the 4th is pretty good. They will be either the 2 or 3 seed in that region.

This isnt your 2020 Lawrence County. Their feeder program, EO Coffman hasnt lost a game in 3 years. They are going to be a playoff team. They have gotten better and better every year since their worst when they went 2-8 in 2018. They might even sneak in as a #2 or #3 seed. Tully certainly has dropped alot as has Montgomery Central. The 2 tough teams in that region are PC and Marshall County, which looks much improved over last year. I would caution against selling Lawrence County short.

Lawrence County finishes off Loretto with a last minute stop. Pass into the end zone as time expired gets knocked to the ground to preserve a 48-42 come from behind win. Loretto showed up. They battled all night long against the 4A county rival. The wide open offense lining up in the shotgun and throwing it all over the place with Daniel is very productive. Running Caden Porter out of the gun is a very nice touch. The Stangs might be a problem for the rest of the region. Next week is the for all of the marbles with the black and white facing the Rockets. Might have to try to go to that one.

Wayne County polishes off Summertown 14-7. It is going to be a very long season for the Eagles. They did look better this week.

Size-wise, Loretto has every bit as much size as Lawrence County. IF Loretto is going to do damage and knock off Forrest, it is going to be the passing game that does it. Daniel is a really nice qb for that offense. Saw some really nice things like running Porter out of the shotgun. Not sure there is an offense anywhere in the region that can score with Loretto.

Wayne Co 14-7 over Summertown with 7 minutes to play. Summertown led 7-6 for most of the 2nd and 3rd qtr. Wayne Co took the lead just after the 4th qtr started. Summertown is driving though

Giles is going to have to shore up that run defense. Lawrence County ran at will in the jamboree. That 21-7 score was very misleading. Game ended with LCHS on the 1 yard line. Only one possession for LCHS that didnt pick up at least 1 first down. LCHS missed a FG as well. Either LCHS has gotten much better or Giles is struggling with run defense.

Colton Schaffer, Aniken Johnson, Javen Edmiston are all gone. Ty Bryant was a sophomore in 2021 and was very impactful when he played but wasnt exactly "the best". Bryant recorded 225 yards receiving in 2021 and #7 Gavin Robinson recorded 175 receiving. Bryant had 222 yards rushing while Edmiston had 504.

Lauderdale County beat Summertown 13-0. Loretto beat Lauderdale County 14-6. Loretto beat Clements, Alabama 20-0. Summertown lost to Wilson, Alabama 21-7.

SHS is replacing far too much. A 4 year starter at qb, best WR, best RB. A new offense. A ton to overcome.

Summertown played 2 Alabama schools at the Loretto jamboree tonight. All I can say is the Eagles might be playing for last place in the region against Cascade. Im just saying.

I actually have Lawrence County getting in the playoffs. That program is beginning to rise again after some lean years. Their feeder program, EO Coffman has been unbeaten for 3 consecutive seasons. Some really nice talent coming up to a program that is getting better each of the past 2-3 seasons.
