About the camp thing, we took 6 kids to the HS D1 combine in franklin the last part of Feb. The boys learned some things and saw where there is room for improvement always. There was 131 HS FB players there from freshmen to sr's to be, our boys seemed to take it to heart on what it takes to do the extra work to be better FB players, as I mentioned in anothe post they have been working their butts off in the weight room and in drills. Currently 4 of the boys start this sat mar. 14 with a former AFL FB player on the in's and out's of speed and quickness, this is a 3 month thing, so with this being said the DEVILS should be alright as they knock the rust off this fall, The boys are excited and determined and so am I. Are you ? The DEVILS are coming !!!!

Dem boyz been awful serious bout the weights this off season, IMO the devils will put the strongest team to hit the field ever, theres alot of hungry boys returning, I know that some of them have been working together in some quickness drills and conditioning and doing it on their own, looking good boys. THE DUNGEON WILL ROCK AGAIN IN 09 excitement is building !!!!

Fri nts. have become something special in Cedar Hill in recent years, nothing short of a deep run in the playoffs is expected and the DEVILS have some slots to fill and some work to do, but the raw tallent is there to do just that. Skill positions are loaded ! in the backfield the DEVILS pocess a triple threat starting with sr. LK, jr.Brandon Holt ( BOLT ), & so. sensation Frankie ( Jamal ) Traughber, Ive been telling you about this one ! at FB the fireplug as we like to call him has been waiting, Jhonny Smith built like a small bulldozer and can bring it, very strong ! QB will be manned by so. Brandon Adkins very smart knows the offence good size and very mobile if pressured, good arm, should develope into a great one. Slots and WR will feature sr. Clint Morris a starter since his so. year and will prolly be the all time leader in rec. yds at JB by the time its all said and done, opposite of him should be jr. Chris Corbin anothe one thats just been waiting his time at JB, he's a player. The big uglys up front sr's Branden Shelton 6'2 225 Wayne Helm 6'3 260 these two will have the responsibility to lead and teach the newcomers to the trenches. Potential players up front come from Caleb Castleman 6'0 190 started at various time through the 08 campaign and also at lb. Sophmores Cody Vaugn 6'1 240 & Alan Lemmons 5'11 210 will have an opportunity to prove themselves. Jr. Malcom Medows 5'9 205 saw suffecient playing time in 08 pocesses great speed off the edge a naturally strong young man, could develope into a very good O lineman. The RED DEVILS will certainly have some work to do upfront but they do every year, the coaching staff seems to find what it takes each year and 09 should be no different, Lots of speed lots of raw tallent & some growing pains will come with it, by mid season or so we expect nothing more that what the DEVILS themselves expect, they will be READY ! GO RED DEVILS

Trousdale will be in 2A, maybe the stangs & the RED DEVILS of Jo Byrns meet in the semis

Jo Byrns will field a very tallented team in 1A headlined by as everyone should know by now ( LK ) Ashabraner, a do it all on the field, leads by example for instance his workout program is non stop year round, this young man surely puts forth the extra effort for his team and strives to be the best and gives 110% every down, whether on offence or defence it doesnt matter, so keep your eyes on #44 of the RED DEVILS in 09

He makes something outta nothing too, with his feet, good scrambling ability, Gonna be a great game !!!

I guess JB & Cascade both are not very good jus 8-0 thats all, well since our jr high beatem, well I'm not gonna go there, but the Champs have a little more size on their jr high

I dont have a dog in the hunt but been keeping up with them jackets this year and FC also, should be a great game for both communities, but TC has awoke this year with all the youth getting exp. last year, TC takes it all the way to the semis to take on the pirates this year. TC 38 FC 20

I possibly could be there, so count me in, but maybe set it up for about 4;30 for early arrivals, I need to be at the school at 6, Logger & Butchie has volunteered 2 be the designated drivers, This is gonna be great !!!

When fall practice began who would've thought both teams would return to the same stage with alot of diff. faces ? As all those doubts begin to dwindle away the 2 teams are to meet again this fri at the DUNGEON undefeated, may all the procastinaters line up. A classic battle is expected between the two and some big plays from both foes are expected, taking care of the ball via ( turnovers ) will be the difference in this game, we both have had some close calls this year making it for a more competitive reigon than I can recall. The champs have been putting some points on the board as usual and the DEVIL D is as stuborn as it always is, so something has to give this fri in cedar hill. The DEVILS O is really beginning to click, and what a great time for that to happen, if you dont have a game to go to grab a friend and come on down to the DEVILS DUNGEON this fri under the lights and see what is expected to be a huge game between 2 top 10 teams in 1A you wont be dissapointed, but be advised be prepared for one of the loudest & rocking venues you've ever been to. O and everbody be nice this wk on coacht, yea right LOL. GO RED DEVILS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive talked to some of the DEVILS 2 day and I understand its not gonna be pretty !!!!!

when the devils enter the field they have about 10 trucks lined up along side the fence reving the engins right after the coin toss and man its loud, and when the captains rejoin the team behind the run through banner 2 fog machines are blowing the smoke its pretty neat cause when the devils are running through the spirit line the fog sorta follows them to the 50 and the trucks are pushing some rpm's, we think its pretty unique and maybe 1 of the only schools to have the privilage of being able to park so close, almost forgot we also have 2 red circular lights on poles at the entrance of the field, I would like to hear from some other visitors responce of what you think about it.

if this young man continues in the right direction he will be able to go wherever he wants to go, and on to the NFL, thats how I feel about his potential

Well hopefully both of us continue with a win this week & sets up a huge game in 1A of undefeated top 10 teams, and possibly a reigon title, man if this dont get some headlines I dont know what will, 1 thing for sure both teams will be very well prepared for each other and I believe a turnover or a big play on special teams will be the difference in this long awaited rematch and it will come down to the final seconds, the excitement is beginning to build, the DUNGEON will be rocking thats for sure. But lets not forget, Heritage: the DUNGEON DWELLERS COMMING 4 U 1ST !!!

Overlooking anybody shoulnt be a concern based on recent play of the red devils, turnovers & mistakes in the red zone is or should be a major concern, the devils seem to move the ball well but somehow make some critical miscues on substained drives, but these issues are very fixable and feel like the kids themselves know that, so with that being said a new attitude has to be sent to the guys " to finish " be sharp, be confident, be dominant like I know you can, & BEWARE the DEVILS are coming for you. DEFENCE ! you guys got it going on. GO RED DEVILS !!!!

the jackets jus cant put it together for some reason, the middle school is very dominant jus about every year, something happens when they get in HS, anyone have any insight ?

I've been watching & reading all week And to put a little closure on the game in my behalf it will be a measuring stick for both teams and Im sure both teams will be well prepared for the game. But dont think for a moment that all the tallent is gone from JB, I assure you that the devils still have some boys that can tote the mail and make some plays after the catch, jus dont fool youself into believing all the studs are gone cause you will be sorely surprised, but Im looking for a real good game. LK is ready to go, he has been so frustrated the last 2 games with little nagging injurys, Look for LK to make some big things happen fri nt. JB is very fortunate to be as deep as we are at the tb position. I think the key to this game will be JB's D against the run game and if the rockets can pass the ball effeciently. JB will be ready !!!
