Dodd now has 10 in April! He is hitting a Homerun every 5 at bats! Has been walked 37 times as well.

Corderius Dodd from Jackson North Side got off to a slow start. He didnt hit any HR's in March but has 8 so far in April!

Cordarious Mann from Jackson North Side is an extremely talented back. He can take it the distance fom anywhere at any time. Very strong runner for his size. He is just strong period. He rushed for 2131 yards and had 2800 all purpose yards this year. He did all this against one of the toughest 4A schedules in the state. If youve seen him run you wold love him. He is a class act on the field as well. Great kid.

This is what a all state team should look like if you are only going to have one team on each side of the ball. The coaches association team is a joke. First of all if a teams coach is not a member of the association then his players are not eligible for the all state team. Second it is ridiculus that the coach has to be at the meeting to vote. This should be about recognizing the best players in the state. I have seen Smith play and he is a animal. Has a great body. 6'2" and lean has the frame to put on a lot more muscle. His brother was huge. Played OT at 6'4" 270. I saw that lick he put on that kid from Liberty on that kick off. Biggest hit I saw all year. Look forward to watching him next year. If I am not mistaken he called all the defenses last year for North Side as a sophmore. Must be a real leader as well.

Well Red Warrior it sounds like Henry Co. has it all figured out. Seems to me like The Zone knows a little bit about what he is talking about. And Prophet if you dont think the big red machine can be slowed down then go back and watch the second half of the North Side game. I think they had a total of about 60 yards in that half. If they can be shut down like that in a half, then I'd say somebody else might catch on and give them fits for a full game.

Mann had right at 110 yards rushing against Melrose. They are very big up front. Made it dificult to run between the tackles. That is usually where Mann does most of his damage. Their speed and tackling kept Mann from breaking the long TD. Melrose D and henry Co D very similar. Advantage has to go to Melrose for goaline D. Northside was up and down the field and then couldnt get in.

I think the good one that has committed to Miami was number 7.

How do you score 27 points and get shut down. You guys live in a dream world. We are out now so it doesnt really matter to me but Mann was not shut down against HC. He had 128 yards and 2 TD's in the game and the offense scored 4 TD's. I will say this though, the only differnce in the Melrose D and Henry County D is the fact that they did not let us score inside the 10. We moved the ball up and down the field. We got inside the 10 five times and could not get in. Most of that was lack of execution according to the coaches, but I give Melrose a lot of credit too. They made Northside earn every inch. We were stopped twice 2 inches away, I mean every inch.

When you say that Northside has not opened it up I am assuming you mean not throwing the ball. I have seen Northside play several times this year and the quarterback has an extremely good arm, but he doesnt always take care of the ball. I noticed inthe stats he has thrown like 12 or 14 picks in about 130 tries. Thats a pick every ten times he throws the ball. That is way to much. If you did double his number of throws in a game and he kept that same ratio he would have had 20 to 30 picks. I agree they do need to throw more, but you also have to look at how many balls have dropped. The receivers have dropped a ton. I also think that they should use the fullback more to run the ball, but nobody has reallly stopped the offense all year. They have stopped themselves plenty. Melrose is a different animal though. They will have atheletes all over the field but I doubt their defense is that much better than Henry Co. Should be an interesting game. Who does Northside's offense?

I am sure all of these backs are great backs, but with the schedule North Side has played and the fact that everybody on the field knows he is getting the ball 7 out of 10 plays, with the numbers Mann has rolled up you know he has to be a very good back. I dont know if you guys across the state are aware of Mann's size. He is tiny. He is about 5'5" and 150 pounds soaking wet, but he is the toughest kid on the field every Friday night. Tough to bring down and extremely strong. Squats close to 500 and benches over 300. Of course he can fly to. You would just have to watch the kid play week in and week out to appreciate what he has done.

Just wanted to find out some of the best backs in the state in 4A football. I know Cordarious Mann has got to be in the running. He has 1856 yards and 15 touchdowns on the year. North Side has played an extremely tough schedule. According to Coacht it is the strongest schedule in 4A football. He is an extremely talented back and exciting to watch. He is also deservng because he is a great kid. He is as humble as they come. He is all about the team and wanting to win. I know there are many other great backs out there. Just wanted to hear what you guys thought. The backs from Henry Co., Brighton, Maryville, Hillsboro are all great backs. Who should win Mr. Football? I have listed all 4A schools. What was it 4th and 5 or 6 yards. I'll take my chances with that.

No I am not a coach, but I do tape all of the games I go to. As far as the punt goes. it is taough call but if you do the math. There is only 3:00 minutes left to go in the game and you have only 2 timeouts. At best if you stop them you get 2:00 minutes to work down the field with no timeouts. Even at that the punt team for northside hasnt been very dependable all year. And that if you stop Henry Co. on three downs. One first down and its over.

I would like to commend Henry County for having an excellent team and coaching staff. Top notch. I hope to see you guys again in the playoffs.

The defender clearly went into the wideout before he could make an attempt on the ball but I dont know if I would have called it. It looked like the defender lost sight of the ball. It either had to be on the defender or a no call. I think it should have been a no call. I have seen much worse calls and much worse no calls.

I have seen it on film. He was offsides. That turnover may not have made the outcome any different but we were talking about momentum

I know this for a fact. Northside has a better football team than Westview and that in itself should give us a fighting chance. I have seen them. They are not as good as Northside. They are good but not as good. Also dont be suprised if Northside makes some plays in the pass game Friday night. Their quarterback is capable. The receivers just need to step up and make some plays.
