I didn't like how the ref's went from calling nothing the first half. Then calling everything for 1 1/2 quarters in the second and then back to nothing. I think calls went both ways but the no call walk may have been the most important. I would like to see a replay on that one. Overall the teams looked like mirror images of each other. They could play 10 times and go 5-5. Personally, I was for Betsy, but the upcoming rematch should be a good one.

It is hard to be a good team more than once. Thanksgiving was a long time ago and I think central probably remembers it more than Cannon. Central by 8-10

A win is a win. I will give DL credit. They looked well coached and seem to rotate their def. scheme. They are very young and have a good chance to make it back next year. Central looked a little sloppy and I hope worked out some jitters.

I think McMinn Central is the team to beat but with Liberty's good draw, They may face a tired MC or Betsy team in the finals.

They better get more to sign up for the pep bus because what I heard last night was that there wasn't enough to make the trip yet.

I have some connections to Elizabethton myself and here is what I can tell you. My father-in-law lived in McMinn County and closely followed the Chargerettes about 3-4 years ago (Kylie Lambert days). He is now a sports editor in Elizabethton and he says their girls team is as good as he has ever seen. I think Betsy wins this game and then we have a dog fight in the semis.

Cannon and Betsy does not have alot of size either. Who is probably the "biggest" team in it?

Those all look like I would pick except I think Liberty wins by a bit more. Liberty by 18

I honestly don't know much about DL, but I have to think that if MC keeps their level of play where it has been the last few games, they will be extremely difficult to beat.

I think Betsy wins in a nail biter. I believe these are 2 of the 4 best teams in the tourney.

I will stand by what I said. Based on the 2 teams records, how they had played common opponents, and the history between the two, to pick one by that many was ridiculous. I watched it. Central dominated them. So I guess you could easily say beat the spread, but until it was played, 15-20 was outlandish.

My wish list: Elizabethton Cannon Macon Liberty Tech on opposite side. Central draws Pigeon Forge...like I said, wish list.

During the 3rd, I agreed with LA's coach coming off that press because Central had been eating it up, but was surprised that that was even worse for LA. After that big MC run in the 3rd, La looked tired and frustrated. They had nothing left in the bag of tricks. Those court length passes from Adams were all better than in pass from our QB's all year. Anyone got any other AA scores? Don't even bother with a Cannon score, E Hamilton I sure should have stayed on the bus.

Did not see that coming....LA had a solid team but Sells picked a bad night to be off. I don't think LA really had any good match-ups against Central. I don't think Sells scored in the first half. She finished with 22 but it was mostly in 4th quarter clean-up. It could have really been worse. Anyone know what MC's free throw % was? It had to be bad. The ref's were a little inconsistent but at least they let them play.Congrats Chargerettes, I hope you bring home the gold.
