  1. What kind of injury? Was it Perry ? From the above posts it sounds like Perry was inured during dbl OT ?
  2. I believe this is the kid from North West. He has definately flown under the message board radar, but that is only a good thing for the wreslter. The rankings are for us spectators/fans. There are a few other 119's that have not been noticed yet. I think 119 is loaded. That's my opinion because there's more talent being missed in that weight class by the knowledgeable people than any other weight class.
  3. Dustin gets another "upset" over #1 ranked Iowa's Eustice (4-1) over the weekend.
  4. Blackman has a 152 that was listed as a freshman on the bracket at the Ravenwood tournament. His record at that point was 19-1 if I remember correctly. I believe he will be dominanting one of the upper weights in the future.
  5. How long has it been since Royce Gracie has fought in the UFC ? 10 years ? This might be like Jordan with the wizards. In early UFC's I could not believe the size and power of the fighters he was beating.
  6. It will be interesting to watch. He has a lot of pressure from alot of the "wrestling community" for being a true freshman. I have followed him a little the last 2 years because he competes in a couple of the nationally recognized high school tournaments. I listened to broadcasters say he is "considered the best high school wreslter ever" which has puzzled me because his senior year he lost to a Michigan kid in a tournament final (same kid he came back and beat by one point in the H.S. Nationals). March will tell and it's not like I would put money against him.
  7. Esposito is the reigning 149 lb NCAA champion. As much potential as Dustin has he's only the reigning High School National Champion. Big difference. Just ask Nathan Galloway.
  8. There are going to be two very tough wrestlers from region 8 (119) left out of the state tournament. I know Liljedahl is the only wreslter getting mentioned in the rankings but these others are right there with him. Just look at the Henrsonville tourney brackets. Liljedahl (Hendersonville) Holt (Springfield) Childers (White House) Watson (Lebanon) Yates (Mt. Julliet) I believe Shanes (Beech) is hurt or I'd put him in here. All these guys have beat up on each other. That seeding meeting should be interesting. Here's my useless opinion for the seeding. 1. Watson 2. Childers 3. Yates 4. Liljedahl 5. Holt Anyone else watching this shape up?
  9. Brett Morrell (152 lb) is fine. Max Barrett (215 lb) is the one who is injured.
