  1. I will make a similar statement that I made last year about my "GladeKitties"; this after seeing them in one spring scrimmage. "If we end up as the 6th best team in Region 4-5A; the next five teams will be absolutely scary". Oh well, I guess 6th is an improvement over being picked dead last.
  2. OK, here it is the Fair Coaches Poll!..................... any comments?? REGION 4-5A 1. Smyrna (tie) 1. Riverdale (tie) 3. Blackman 4. Lebanon 5. Siegel 6. Wilson Central 7. Oakland 8. La Vergne Well, at least we are not last like in 07........................better watch us though /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
  3. mistake?........................I am shocked as I thought was that we would be 7th or 8th again! Wow, we have come up in the world.
  4. UhOh.................my "Glade Kitties" got climb out of the hole again. We are the Rodney Dangerfield of Reg 4-5A. I know that you Rutherford Co. powerhouses are tough; better not take the boys from the Glade lightly /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" /> We might just surprise some folks in 08.
  5. Actually, Dad....................we do play week "0". The "Glade Kitties" have to travel to Franklin Co. and face the Rebels with their new coach. I see they have (7) college propects listed; this may be a tough hill to climb on the road. I had no idea that they had this many returnees. I guess we will see if we can meet the challenge.
  6. MOJO, I hate to bust that bubble, but the "GladeKitties" just might be a little higher than 6th on Defense. From what I saw in the spring, if WC is 6th best on "D" then all others better stay out of this league! I would bet that this post is already on the locker-room wall. The "Kitty-Cats" came off the bottom quite nicely last season. Please understand that I am prejudiced about the Cats, but I did warn folks last season! Go "Glade Kitties"
  7. Here is one! By seasons end, he will be on most lists. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> *First Name: Arcavious (sp) *Last Name: McMurray *High School: Wilson Central *Hometown: ? *Height: 6' 6" *Weight: 215 (guessing) *Position(s): SE/DB Forty speed: Fast (do not know) Statistics: ? Honors: ? GPA: ? Head coach's name: Eric Head coach's phone: ? This player is very impressive physically and on the field. I got to think that he is one of the best players in a very tough region 4-5A
  8. Actually WC is training less than you think! They only graduated 8 seniors. The 08 "kitties" will be a very solid football team. They have depth.............. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" /> samiam
  9. We like our our offense and we are not bad on the other side either. Go "ThugKitties" (LOL)
  10. Ya'll did get rid of a pretty fair defensive coach!! /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
  11. Oh!..............the "Thug Kitties" (LOL). Defense is very aggressive and fast; you did not give Indy much breathing room last Friday.
  12. Are you one of our coaches? Which side of the ball? samiam
  13. Our version of the offense is absolutely fun to watch.............we scrimmaged Independence (state runner-up in 2008 and a spread team) and looked pretty good I thought. Our old coach (Elrod) brought this offense over from Cumberland about 4-5 years ago and taught it to our previous coach - Alexander. He left with Alexander and went back to Cumberland; He then came back last year and we ran it again in a very tough 5A region; we are fun to watch!! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  14. Welcome to the Rodney Dangefield section of Region 4-5A; it looks as we have competition as to who will fight off the bottom. I said last year that WC would not be the bottom team!! Here is a 2008 early alert; I think we will be competitive!! samiam
  15. Who in the region is currently in spring practice? Have there been any scrimmages? Results or comparisons?? I know over here in Wilson that MJ has scrimmaged Greenbriar...............how did it go? I think Lebanon went with Beech............thtruth....any results there? Oakland is practicing..............have they scrimmaged anyone? ditto on Riverdale and siegel!! I am pretty sure that my "GladeKitties" start this week samiam
  16. Well, here we go again! I guess the GladeKitties are going to picked last again /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Heck, we cannot even make the alphabetical list. Maybe we can scratch out a win or two; maybe not. samiam
  17. You are saying the the Head Football Coach (that would be Aric) at Wilson Central has applied for the Head Football coaching vacancy at Smyrna. Now, that is interesting! If true?
  18. Since I am partial to the Wilson Central Wildcats................here are 3 that will make an impact next season. Jordan Poole FB (Soph) will be one of the top backs in the league............he is big and fast Arcavius McMurray (Jr) might be the best wide-out retuning in the league for next season................he is 6' 6" and was the WC go to guy at season end..........quite fast! Alex Rains (Jr) returning starting WB..........very fast. I was very first to say that my Cats would not be last in the league for 2007 and they did do a bit better.........I think they they will be competitive. The core of the defense returns; some good offensive lineman will also be back. offense will have several weapons. Cats could be a factor in 2008, but this is Region 4-5A and only time will tell! We should be fun to watch. McChurch will be tough to replace /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> samiam
  19. How about this choice...................... Anyone and everyone remotely connected to the other Region 4-5A teams that predicted the Wilson Central Wildcats to finish dead last and lower in the Region standings. samiam
  20. This really cannot be very true. Reason is the WC fan support is right pitiful. So if someone is acting improperly; it could only be one or two fans; there is not that many at a game. We have simply the worst fan support (in numbers) around, and this may hurt someone's feelings, but it is the undeniable truth. disappointed in the glade
  21. even more interesting /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> samiam
  22. accepted..............on my part and am sure others will also. samiam
  23. I got to say something to you DubC...............WC fans really do not care what you think or say UNLESS you apologize for your comments from last year about the coaches, administration, etc. Remember..............you said and I quote " I'm taking my $6.00 and going and supporting MJ next year". (*note.....you can go back and read old posts; it is quite easy to do). Why are you still hanging around?.............. You need to apologize to the coaches and administration on this forum publicly. It was a tough year last year in a very tough league that has NO margin for error......................it has been equally tough this year and the league may be even more balanced than it was last year. Every team in this league would qualify for the play-offs if they were scattered in Region 's 3, 5, and 6. Seriously.............you should apologize!..............and Soon! sam from the glade
  24. From the Glade............ Big thanks to SeaGull from DubC for great win over Lavergne. We have felt our backs were to the wall all season and this did take some pressure off. If ya'll can win out; you would probably make the play-offs. This would be great recovery from some early set-backs. Really hope that you make it /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
