    Week 0

Mt. Juliet will travel to Shelbyville for a week 0 matchup!
  3. Don't know how they will do in the Nationals but I really enjoyed watching them play last weekend. They are deep at each position and destroyed the Tigers in the Championship. The coach of Shelbyville told me that the Tigers couldn't handle physical play when I talk with him Saturday morning before he played them Saturday night. He was exactly right, Shelbyville got physical and it took the Tigers out of everything they wanted to do. I respect Shelbyville and until you beat them they are the best 15 under team in the state, SO LIVE WITH IT.
  4. Shelbyville beat you twice and had more fouls called on them in both games. If you want to play Shelbyville again come to there Tournament June 11 - 13 and you can play them again. If you want me to I will call Bubba myself and make sure he plays you at his tournament. The day of the National Championship is over and Ross Jordan and whatever you want to call his ast. coach, is nowhere near Warner or Epley. Shelbyville has the best 15 under team in the state and Pride is probably second best. From what I heard the Pride missed 18 FTs on you in the semi final game. If they hit half of them they beat you also. I would also like to Thank, #4 and #50 on the Tigers Select for showing alot of class in sticking around and clapping for the Shelbyville girls as they got their medals. The other kids and parents put on a good show as they left the gym and wouldn't stick around and watch. They showed exactly what they were made of and that is nothing. You two girls showed alot class about yourself and your parents should be very proud of you also. One thing people should always remember is that you Win With Class and You Lose With It Also. Congrats to the Shelbyville Sport Shop girls for going out and proving that you were best in the state and carry it all the way to Winston Salem. Also who cares about 12 and 13 year old ages. That is the past and 15 under is the present so stop living in the past and worry about the present. OOPS YOU DIDN'T DO IT AGAIN.
  5. Newman is playing fastpitch softball and Fuller is not playing AAU, preparing for college (resting). Hall is coaching SSS 12's.
  6. Well, even if you take 2 or 3 teams out of the equation, when you have 7 to 8 teams all contending for 4 playoff positions it makes for interesting football. Although Hickman county hasn't been even close in this region since they joined, Spring Hill and White County both have won some meaningful games in the past. I agree with White County losing the majority of last year's team, but doesn't Spring Hill have several returning starters? They also beat Columbia near the end of the year last season. Why can't they be competitive? Seems they have several good athletes each year. Anyways, have any of the teams started spring practice yet, and if so, can anyone provide updates?
  7. First of all, I agree with all the hype about Lewis and Rucker, both along with several others are very talented players. Hillwood however, will have to improve dramatically on the defensive side of the ball to keep up with the Burros. They may do it, but don't put them in first just yet. Second, I see this year, as every year, as being very competitive for the top 4 playoff spots. Each of the past 5 years, a very good 5th place team has been at home during the playoffs. I think Hillsboro, Hillwood, Shelbyville, Columbia, and Overton are the top 5, but Tullahoma will improve dramatically from last year. I believe however they are now with Shelbyville as being one of the teams with the toughest region schedule. Finally, all the teams in region 5-4A are capable of making the playoffs and it will make for an interesting year to see how it shakes out. I will once again keep up with all the action on midtnsports.com an coachT. Maybe soon there will be a spring practice update or early scouting report on there.
  8. The Hillwood-Shelbyville game is thursday night at 7:00 at Hillwood. It still has Friday in the Tennessean.
  9. Russell hasn't played as much offense as last year, he seems to be the best athlete and most dangerous threat on the field however. He has played QB, TB, and TE and did a good job on all positions. #1 is the hardest runner, he seems to be more determined than Pryor #25 for some reason, maybe the injuries, I don't know. Anyways, they are a very physical team, and one to watch out for.
  10. Did Nunley start on the team this Fall or was he here during Spring or any last year?
  11. try Shelbyville Central High School
  12. IF RIDDLE WOULD HAD MADE A DIFFERENCE SHE WOULD HAD TO SCORE 76 POINTS I DON'T THINK SO. FULLER DOMINATED RIDDLE HER WHOLE LIFE IN AAU HOW WOULD SHE REVERSE THAT IN ONE NIGHT, THIS SHOWS HOW STUPID JOE COOL'S REMARKS ARE!!!!!!!!!
  13. NEXT, NEXT, NEXT, NEXT, AND NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!! LAWRENCE CO.
  14. Actually, Sparkman was a HUGE threat in the backfield along with the Crawford kid. No doubt he was a great linebacker, but he was also 50-60% of the offense as well. It will be hard to replace him on either side of the ball.
  15. Should be a good game, Eagles are a good team but played horrible last week. Overton was a fine team, but lack of effort led to the blowout. Interesting to see if they respond or lay down. Great game last year, and hopefully friday night will be and interesting and fun game to watch.
