Oliver Springs is one game away from being there and defeated JC in both meetings this year. They beat Meigs and Grace in the regionals.

Who made the all region team?

Not a big deal, just trying to figure out the logic. Maybe it is a popularity contest. LOL I would think they would look at the schedules and results. Just saying.

How can you have Jackson Co. rated higher than Oliver Springs when OS has beaten them twice away and home.

Will someone fill me in on what happened. Do you have to have so many seats to host?

I'd put Brandon Warren (even though he played tight end) & Randall Cobb (even though he played quarterback) on that list anyday and challenge you to tell me of 2 receivers that are "better" than them......not by high school receptions and yards but by what they've accomplished playing football. Now with that said I would say that 2 of the guys have to be Kyrus Lanxter (Alcoa) & Tyler Maples (Maryville) How about Jason Witten and David ( I think ) Davis ( Albert's brother ).

just a thought but why would you play this game the same day as the state is going on. should be played maybe on a date so some of the girls who played in the state could play.

LL is a very good player but I think she does not have the ball handling skills or quickness to play point in a D1 program like tn. I think Kayla C. could play 2 guard at one. I think she signed with UTC for several reasons ( close to home, Laura Hall's success,and pt soon ). I think LL will also sign with a comparable program. Maybe even end up at UTC. I think she will play the 2 or 3.

Has anyone seen the all-state teams for the 07-08 season (A,AA,AAA) from the AP?

the replay clearly showed that the girl went for the ball and actuallly hit it.

congradulations to Gleason and the three officals that gave them the title! that was the worst officated fourth quarter that I have seen in a long time. Kayla Hudson is a good player but if a player even got close to her it was a foul.the officals decided the game where it should have been the players.

It looks like the oliver springs lady bobcats are not receiving much recognition in the polls even though their only loss to a 1A team was to clarkrange. Their other loses were to 1AA and 1AAA teams.Plus they have beaten several 1AA and 1AAA teams.

my source must of had some bad info.got in a hurry and did not check over my post so I missed a spelling,which you have probably never done.

first of all I do not like the personel comment.I think this is a place to just have fun with our predictions.I was told by a source that cak has not looked good in their scrimmages.I do pull for os but I know a better team when I see them.Like last year I thought cak was one of the better passing teams around and a better team than os,but no games have been played and we do not know how anyone will do(except alcoa in our district ).

I was not downgrading Coalfield when I started this thread. I was just comparing schedule strength. They both should be in the top 10,probably 8 for OS and 10 for Coalfield.

Why is Coalfield girls still #6 with 3 district loses ( 2 to OS ) and Oliver Springs with no loses to single A schools and victories over AA and AAA schools and a 16-6 record left out? I know it does not matter ( because we have the tournaments ) but it is the principle of the matter!!!!!!!
